🔹️I haven't used copper peptides because of all the possible ingredient conflicts. Dr. Shah's advice is to not use copper peptides with Vit C (or Kojic Acid), since it may make the Vit C useless. He suggests at least letting the copper peptide dry first before applying Vit C. I even saw advice that if you use copper peptides at night, you should wash your face before applying Vit C in the morning. The Ordinary's use guide indicates copper peptides shouldn't be used in the same routine as pure Vitamin C, direct acids, strong antioxidants, or retinoids. Since I use vitamin C every morning and retinal every night, except when I'm using a strong chemical exfoliant, I can't figure out when to use a copper peptide.

What do you think of the CAIL? I really loved the consistency of it but it's soooo expensive! I have been using copper peptides consistently for over a year - both NIODs, Rob's own one, Allies of skin and Stratia. They all feel nice but I honestly can't notice any difference to my fine lines, enlarged pores or firmness 😭😭

Ive tried alot of products so I can see the difference when something actually works. I think it looked similar to how my skin looked after trying the estee lauder night serum but the skin1004 serum gave more brightness somehow so i am quite impressed.
I’m surprised you’ve not mentioned the geek and gorgeous power peptides! I’ve heard it has a special formulation. I’ve got the ordinary for now as the MAS wasn’t in stock, but it does sting my sensitive skin
🔵 Peach & Lily for me. I'm 53 post menopauses. I am dry/dehydrated and rosacea. Yes lower % of copper but I don't smell like metal all day which can give me headaches and my husband won't kiss me lol
I used to use the NIOD Copper Peptides until the Theramid serum came out and did amazing things to my skin. I absolutely love it! I do have a bottle of the Allies of Skin (bought on a sale) in the waiting line for testing out, however so far none of the Allies of Skin products I've tried have done anything much for me.
💙 peptides are my favorite ingredient in skincare. there’s SO many different types of peptides and they all do different things (there’s healing peptides, plumping, brightening, pore care, etc). there’s some peptides that are larger molecules so it can’t penetrate as much - but paired with things like VT Reedle Shot, it’s a match made in heaven.
Ran out of MaS and need an alternative until MaS ships later this year. I will try the Theramid - want to buy the Allies of Skin but $$$$$$$ - will have to wait for Xmas as a gift to myself

I've used the Ordinary & also Niods too, but have just ordered The Skin Collection 3% copper peptides, it's hard to get the others in Thailand & this is a very affordable Thai product, I'll let you know how it goes
🔵💙 ive been using copper peptides for around a yr n half not a massive amount of time granted but i was noticing ( being peri menopausal im 47 now) the beginnings of drier ..more crepy eye skin..jowly .. more pronounced nasolabial lines so i started with NIOD's CAIL and loved the texture felt it was very soothing but i was a bit weary of the price so then i switched to the MAS one n it was just unreal ( cannot wait for its return) the texture was perfect and it was really starting to make a difference around my eyes and nasolabial folds.. when i ran out i had the oppertunity to try the Allies one and OMG !!! While initially i struggled with the smell ( that i since think may have something to do with my Vit C) i persevered ( cos its so dam expensive lol ) and i could see a huge difference in my skin n i mean my whole face so much more soothed fines lines were definitely reducing before my eyes and like you said a firming was evident around my jowls.. my skin felt less tight and just generally more "comfortable" if that makes sense.. unfortunately i cant keep up with consistency as its just too pricy so im now using Theramid and i looooove it so much the texture is just gorgeous and again i just love the soothing effect and its healing anti inflammatory properties are 100% helping with blemishes and scarring i have on my chin. About that smell you mentioned and then you also mentioned vitamin C…I was under the impression that you shouldn‘t be using cop and vit c in the same routine?! That‘s why I find it difficult to integrate it in my particular routine. I love vit c. But I really want to now, consider me influenced😂 I‘ll try alternating in the AM routine I think. ❤ your comment. MAS Peptide is my overall favourite. However if cost and availability wasn't an issue, I'd definitely try Allies of Skin just to have on hand for when I want a one and done serum.

I do believe there are some contraindications for not mixing Vit C and Copper Peptides but I think too ( from watching Robs.videos for a while now too) that too much "stress" is placed around this I believe if you leave a good amount of time in between applications and also apply a buffer in between the two ( like maybe a HA serum for eg ) it makes a difference because I definitely did see significant results when I started with them so they were working regardless of the layering with Vit C lol hopefully you get the results you want too 😊😍🤞

I've been using The Ordinary's Peptide Buffet for about two months to augment my retinal serum, especially around my eyes where I can't use retinaldehyde. The skin under my eyes definitely looks better and the lines over and between my brows are more shallow. I've started massaging it into my eyelids, which are finally starting to look their age. Menopausal skin is so weird - you can literally wake up looking at a stranger in the mirror.
I saw a review from a darker skinned woman (indian ) and she mentioned that copper peptides made her darker . It would appear that they can increase melanocytes in people of colour … rather discouraging 😢. I hope this side effect doesn’t happen to everyone.

Hi Rob I really loved NIOD lipid version, but, it is not user friendly! Still love the way my skin feels the next day. I am now a real fan of MAELOVE Peptide Squad-it has all peptides I look for and more, love that deep blue color. And I alternate it with MAS peptide serum which I stocked up on when you introduced it! Is there a reason your formula is a less intense blue? I have not been a fan of Allied of Skin formulas. 🔵 MAS Peptide is the best I've used consistently. I'd ❤to try the Allies of Skin products as they always sound like a routine in a bottle. However, I don't think Allies of Skin ship to Australia. NIOD CAIS is good but a bit watery for me, CAIL worked better. I might puchase one more tube of CAIL during Slowvember while waiting for MAS Peptide to be back in stock. ❤

I have an allergy to nickel but just discovered that I might be able to use copper peptides - apparently they are generally safe to use if you're allergic to nickel. I am in the sub-set you talked about, however the Allies of Skin is way, way, way above my budget and I wonder if you could therefore recommend a more budget-friendly formula for those of us in that category but without the available coin for high end price points? Wow. I bought The Ordinary "Buffet" with copper peptides YESTERDAY LOL! Tried to look up if I could use it with the 1% retinol from the same brand, and everywhere said yes but not in the same routine, what do you think about them in the same routine?
I use the ordinary "buffet" (new name now which I can't remember) and the ordinary retinal 0.2 I use in same routine but wait approx 15 mins between those applications. Same as I would with the retinal and vitamin C serum.
Hello Rob, Has the Theramid (apart from copper peptide) have the same other peptides as the ordinary, ie, matrixyl, argireline, Hyaluronic acid. Am trying to obtain the best peptides within about 2 serums or so . Trying not to miss any good stuff out. I believe you cant mix Vit C with this or retinal. I still cant get my head round what I can mix together and in which order. I thought I made a list but lost it. 😖
I use to use the ordinary but I was afraid I wasn’t getting the best results because I also use a lot of actives. I recently switched the naturiums and not sure how I feel. I do love the encapsulation technology but I’m unsure because it doesn’t have as many peptides and the ordinary. Thought? I also use the 6 peptide cosrx but I don’t want to rely on it for my peptides

Unfortunately, most copper peptide serums contain ferments, and my skin does not tolerate yeasts or ferments. I think Maelove's copper peptide serum does not contain ferments, but that's it.

I saw a review from a darker skinned woman (indian ) and she mentioned that copper peptides made her darker . It would appear that they can increase melanocytes in people of colour … rather discouraging 😢. I hope this side effect doesn’t happen to everyone.
🔵 Only tried one copper peptide - the MAS copper peptide. Could not really tell the difference, but I probably need to use it longer.

I really loved NIOD lipid version, but, it is not user friendly!
Still love the way my skin feels the next day.
I am now a real fan of MAELOVE Peptide Squad-it has all peptides I look for and more, love that deep blue color.
And I alternate it with MAS peptide serum which I stocked up on when you introduced it! Is there a reason your formula is a less intense blue?
I have not been a fan of Allied of Skin formulas. I tried their Vit C and it is so thick even when applied to very moist skin-hard to layer.

I really enjoyed using the copper peptides from The Ordinary, but since reading that it might help with hair growth I've stopped using it as I've done laser hair removal in my beard area and thought it might make the hairs grow back again

Tried NIOD and TO, I actually liked TO better. Cannot really swe huge differences in my skin though. I expect it to be cumulative. Looking forwars to using Theramid, Medik8 and MAS

🔵 MAS Peptide is the best I've used consistently. I'd ❤to try the Allies of Skin products as they always sound like a routine in a bottle. However, I don't think Allies of Skin ship to Australia. NIOD CAIS is good but a bit watery for me, CAIL worked better. I might puchase one more tube of CAIL during Slowvember while waiting for MAS Peptide to be back in stock. ❤

I have an allergy to nickel but just discovered that I might be able to use copper peptides - apparently they are generally safe to use if you're allergic to nickel. I am in the sub-set you talked about, however the Allies of Skin is way, way, way above my budget and I wonder if you could therefore recommend a more budget-friendly formula for those of us in that category but without the available coin for high end price points? Wow. I bought The Ordinary "Buffet" with copper peptides YESTERDAY LOL! Tried to look up if I could use it with the 1% retinol from the same brand, and everywhere said yes but not in the same routine, what do you think about them in the same routine?
I use the ordinary "buffet" (new name now which I can't remember) and the ordinary retinal 0.2
I use in same routine but wait approx 15 mins between those applications. Same as I would with the retinal and vitamin C serum.
Hello Rob, Has the Theramid (apart from copper peptide) have the same other peptides as the ordinary, ie, matrixyl, argireline, Hyaluronic acid. Am trying to obtain the best peptides within about 2 serums or so . Trying not to miss any good stuff out. I believe you cant mix Vit C with this or retinal. I still cant get my head round what I can mix together and in which order. I thought I made a list but lost it. 😖

I use to use the ordinary but I was afraid I wasn’t getting the best results because I also use a lot of actives. I recently switched the naturiums and not sure how I feel. I do love the encapsulation technology but I’m unsure because it doesn’t have as many peptides and the ordinary. Thought? I also use the 6 peptide cosrx but I don’t want to rely on it for my peptides

How does these compare to NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Lipid 1 % (CAIL)? I am interested in Theramid since it is cheaper than NIOD CAIL.
Unfortunately, most copper peptide serums contain ferments, and my skin does not tolerate yeasts or ferments. I think Maelove's copper peptide serum does not contain ferments, but that's it.
