The fact that he’s a plastic surgeon but has a conscience by telling us to change your lifestyle first says a lot about him. A plastic surgeon who pushes collagen; I love collagen and it has reversed my aging and thickened my hair and nails.

I’m 64. I never use much dairy, except last week I dove into cottage cheese, cream cheese, and cheddar. Acne a few days later on my face and chest. No more dairy for me .
I also stopped wheat a few weeks ago and I’ve stopped napping mid-day. (No rice, barley, or any other grains either).
I use red light & near infrared on my face and chest for over a year, & tretinoin on my face for 18 months, and I also do shallow micro needling (nano needling) here and there. It all helps.

@@mercezulu I use the plan from Curology. You can also get it from Agency which I believe they also own ( for more mature aging issues). With my plan I get my RX Tret mixture, their facial wash, & their moisturizer. I think it’s $80 per shipment, which carries you for 2 months. You get a PA who is assigned to you and who can adjust your concentrations as needed.

Update 4/17/2024: I’m still doing the things I described above and about a month ago I got myself a low dose multivitamin ( all stuff in it is around 100% of the RDA) and I did this as not to megadose and also to get a pinch of some things I think I was missing such as Selenium, Iodine, Iron, Zinc etc. Well this seems to have improved my skin, hair, and especially my nails which had deep horizontal and vertical ridges in them. They say nails are an indicator of overall health so when my nails stopped growing in which all these ridges I conclude I was missing something, and now things are much better. I was previously megadosing with a multi B vitamin and I had an allergic reaction that sent me to the ER. So, that’s the skinny on that latest activity.

Dairy isn't just dairy anymore. When I was a kid the milk came in bottles on the doorstep and it would separate into the cream on the top and the milk at the bottom. Now they put emulsifiers to mix the cream with the milk so that it doesn't separate. These emulsifiers are the problem in our bodies I think, imagine what the body does when it can't separate the oil from the water

I process dairy well as well. I’m European and apparently because they’ve been ingesting dairy from cows for so long many Europeans can handle dairy. I have 4 kids who are all half Jamaican and not one of them can eat dairy! I asked my Mother in law about it and she said Jamaicans don’t generally drink milk, many don’t eat cheese regularly etc…. In essence the claim that autophagy's cellular recycling of old misfolded & damaged proteins will "eat" no longer necessary supportive skin proteins?

When I was a young girl, my South Korean mom (from the old country) taught me all about foods and how to cook, so that's my foundation. At this same time, she also taught me about how restaurants and fast food places cook and operate, and how to smartly shop the supermarkets. Old school worked well for me back then...and still today at 57 years young. My mom is 80 and is still the Energizer Bunny. Her skin does show signs of being in the sun for decades. However, the really cool thing it is still as soft as a baby's bottom.

I really like this doctor but the one thing I disagree with is the recommendation of microneedling. It sounds like a good idea and cost is low but it has many more risks than what we are told. A lot of other derm doctors say it can easily cause infections and scaring. The results are not that noticeable. I had it with PRP once and it hurt much more than the ablative fractional laser even with numbing cream. I didn’t see any visible results. The swelling makes you look smoother but just for a few days. There are so many opposing opinions out there.

@@Followyourpassions once was enough! It was a bad experience. Why would I go back with those kinds of risks! Ablative which takes a layer of skin off was less risky and painful and those only require one or two treatments for noticeable results. And it cost almost the same as the microneedling. Multiply $500 by 6 months of treatments vs $800 times two. Come on you do the math and risk/benefit ratio. Do your research smarty pants!

No reason to get Mad. You cannot judge by one session. You need at least 6 months / 6 sessions to see results. Has nothing to do with acting smart. I know it's expensive and never i would pay that amount of money. For one session? A bit insane . If it's with laser / heating microneedling ....don't do that...can have terrible results and consequences .
That's why a one time investment in a good microneedling pen is totally worth it. The cost is 120€ and you're good for years. Just a tip if that's helpfull. And about being risky doing it at home ...if you know what you're doing you can do it better. I saw some so called professionals doing microneedling at cliënt totally the wrong way. Maybe look into that. I hope this is helpfull. No hate.😢 @@MsGarnet77

@@MsGarnet77 and of course doctors don't want you doing it at home. As you say....the amount of money they ask for one session. They would get bankrupted. If you do it hygienical...sterile at max 0,75 MM dept....it's not more risky compared to a session at specialist. For sure the don't want that. It's fear mongering to avoid loosing clients. As i said ...the things i see sometimes at specialists ...can be way more dangerous compared to doing it at home the right way. Know what you're doing and you won't have any problems. 300€ over here for one session....ending up with a bleeding face and scarfs cause they don't know how doing it the right way. Look into that. Who knows i just saved you A LOT of money. Just trying to help .

@@Followyourpassions oh ok. Sorry it sounded like you were being sarcastic with me. Maybe yes it takes more sessions with micro needling but I’ve still heard mixed reviews and several derms think it’s risky with suboptimal results. I wish it was more efficacious. Just curious why do you warn against the ones with laser / heating?
The type of microneedling I had was with PRP so it was more expensive than typical.

Look at the Dutch. Beautiful skin even as they age. They are the tallest Caucasians in the world. They eat a lot of cheese. Maybe European cheese is better. I grew up on cheese, cottage cheese, and yogurt but NO milk after age 8. I eat ice cream. I am 75 and my friends, doctor and nurses say I look 50. I baked in the sun until 75. I only used sunscreen when on a beach. Now ai do use sunscreen daily only on my face and hands and toes ( I live in Thailand now so my feet are exposed daily). I am of Italian heritage and grew up eating whole, unprocessed foods. I avoid processed foods, eat lots of colored veggies and tropical fruits (all organic and cheap in Thailand). I do indulge in one McDonalds quarter pounder with cheese monthly. Funny thing, I only began eating them when I turned 70! I am 41 kg 5' tall and do heavy weight training, brisk walking 15,000 steps a day, and circuit training, and/ or cardio daily!

I would walk from East coast to the West coast before I take statins, and I am in my 70s. Most difficult will be to avoid any processed food on the way😂.
Issue with looking younger than 90% people your age, say looking 50 at the most when you are 70 is that you have to start telling people your age for no real reason ... because you do not want to be misleading anyone. In some other cases you really do not want to tell people your age, because in your activities (hiking, yoga) you will be with people half your age and it is not helping to "fit in". More complicated than you would think😂.
No wonder you start finding the company of animals most relaxing. BTW they should mention more often how sharing your life with animals is priceless for eliminating stress...entirely (and the need for plastic surgery )😊
