I like Big Boo and I adore her character but she was doing this for money and willing to take charity money that could have been used for something useful. The reverend wasn't a good person and his language was disgusting and I know the church isn't perfect but Boo was lying to get money off them.
Well, Boo is Boo. She isn't a saint and not above using amoral means for her own gain. She has her own rules she lives by. Really, the entire point of her arc is that Boo, at the end of the day, is Boo and shouldn't hide it.
