    Tried this with brown sugar and I can attest to the fact that they taste just as good if not better than the ones made with white flour and refined sugar! Rly yummy

      I used coconut oil too! The weather is a bit cold now so the coconut oil is the same consistency/texture as softened butter. It turned out very, very yummy! 🍪

    I dry toasted the oats first in a saucepan, constantly stirring over low to medium-low flame with a chef's serving spoon. I stopped heating when I got the color I wanted, but kept stirring as I transferred to a large, steel mixing bowl. I just set it on the counter top, in front of a table fan, pointed somewhat down onto it on gentle strength to cool off quickly. I did my laundry while I waited. Once cooled, that's when i ground up the toasted oats into the fine oat flour. This stuff is amazing. Here's another thing.... I split the volume of oatflour in half..... one is just plain, while the other has Dutch-processed cocoa powder in it.... perfectly fine for the chocolate, chocolate-chip cookies and 'tuxedo' themed cookies.

    Just made these and they came out PHENOMENAL. Can’t believe they are gluten free. I didn’t have chocolate chips, so I made oatmeal cookies and added 1/4 cup of oats. Will have them with a cup of coffee in the morning. Breakfast of champions.

    Btw, the idea of sprinkling salt is brilliant….!!! Thanks so much

    • @DetoxinistaRecipes
      @DetoxinistaRecipes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure how the texture will turn out if you use honey, but I'd start with half the amount compared to coconut sugar, since honey is sweeter. I'd love to hear if you try it!

    Will this work with the same amount of stevia or would I use less?

    • @DetoxinistaRecipes
      @DetoxinistaRecipes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe stevia is much sweeter than coconut sugar, so you'll want to use significantly less, unless you're using a "cup for cup" sort of sweetener. I don't know what that will do to the texture of the cookies, though. They get their "chewy" texture from using this amount of granulated sugar.
