I’ve been using your recipe to make cookies for my family, but I did it with a twist! I use dried cranberries instead of raisins, almonds instead of walnuts, and added 1/4 tsp of almond extract for fragrance and a little more almond flavor! Oh! My! Gosh! They are perfect every time! Worry not though. I’ve also made the original recipe, and loved it! You’re the bomb 🤩✨💃🏽

These were great! My husband and daughter loved them. They wanted chocolate chips mixed in so I added 1 cup to the original recipe. Next time I'll make them without chocolate chips and add my favorite addition- toasted walnuts for a more traditional oatmeal raisin cookie. Thank you- we enjoy watching your video's every week!

Thank you, I made these (no nuts) and they turned out great! I did find I needed to bake them for longer, about 15 minutes. Usually oatmeal raisin is not my favorite, but needed to use up some oatmeal and they were sooo good!

First off, thank you so much for this! Made this recipe yesterday with some changes. I doubled the recipe, and added about a cup or so of homemade hard crack toffee along with the oats and raisins. I made larger cookies, using a standard ice cream scoop and baked them for 18 minutes at 375. It's one of the most delicious, decadent things I've ever tasted, and I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to bake more.

Oh you have the perfect oatmeal recipe. I just made mine with ruby red Middle Eastern giant juicy raisins and some little pepitas and I am absolutely thrilled:-) oatmeal cookies can be boring and disappointing but your recipe holds everything together and the sweetness is perfect.
Also substituted chopped dried apricots for raisins and used unsweetened shredded coconut instead of nuts and made a lemon icing and these turned out really well. This recipe is very adaptable.

Hubby who doesn't like oatmeal cookies, said these were the best I made (I made 4 kinds, including his favorite peanut butter). Definitely do not skimp on the size, 2 tablespoons each is perfect. Just baked these and they turned out so delicious! Instead of the 1/2 cup of brown sugar, I substituted it for 1/4 cup Muscavado and 1/4 cup maple syrup. Man oh man, they are sooo good! Next time, I might substitute the raisins for peanut butter and use 1/4 cup of granulated sugar instead of 1/3. They're just like granola bars and are perfect for a quick breakfast.

I only use golden raisins, I am no raisins fan either but the golden ones make me feel better about their presence in my food. LOL Thank you for the delicious cookies.

I always use golden raisins when baking anything that calls for raisins. They are more moist & flavorful. My favorite oatmeal cookies- chocolate chip, graisin, walnut. The walnuts really make a tasty cookie.

Soooo after trying both oats I actually prefer quick oats to rolled oats. The rolled seem to dry the mix a bit much for my liking. The rolled still works regardless. This recipe is 🔥 none the less!

If the dough is too dry, try adding another egg. I let my dough sit for about 30 minutes before forming the cookies so that the oatmeal will absorb more moisture.

I made these yesterday. Oh.. my... God. They are SO morish. I made them with sultanas (it's all I had) and I don't think they're going to make it to next week. Thanks for all your hard work to make these videos easy to follow and enjoyable to watch.

Thank you for the recipe. Cookies turned out! They were perfectly sweet, not too much or too little, not too greasy. I found that the amount of baking soda was too much. I tasted it in the cookie which was not very pleasant. I also prefer a bit of a denser oatmeal cookie. Thank you!

My mom makes the best oatmeal raisin cookies that ever existed. It’s a recipe passed to her from her mom and may have come from generations before. Family secret as to what makes them so special, but WOW does it ever!

I have been craving homemade oatmeal cookies for a while, but I’ve never made them before. Made your recipe today with only one change, I hate raisins, so I swapped them out for dried cranberries. Your recipe is fantastic. I am really impressed with how easy it was and how good the cookies came out. Thanks again you have a new subscriber. -rob

May I ask if you used brown sugar? I don't have it now and I feel like baking

@@daliayousif6376 I did use brown sugar. I don’t know how they would be without the brown sugar, but if you have a local grocery store, it may be worth a quick drive.
