Fun fact: This master chief model used by Bacon was made by non other than Markus Lato. He was the creator of the chief armor back in 2000. He dabbled his toes in the water of modern tech for model making and created the old Mk-V with all details added in. It's beautiful.

I believe the pelican models used in this cutscene was someone else’s work, not credited and the original model designer did the copyright procedure which unfortunately took down Baconmedia’s channel.
Such a shame really because we have lost this masterpiece of a cutscene that puts the Halo TV series to shame.

@@Nifty_Noob we can all agree that h4/5 and infinite weren't the best in the trilogy, MCC was a complete mess at launch but i am impressed with how the mcc team has improved on it especially with the modding side of things, never thought we would be able to mod h2 and onward to the extent we can today.
@@ThatHaloGuy020 the mod support team is kinda a joke from the modders i talk to its just nce that they opened it up so we could mod and use workshop. other than that it was like 1 month ago where they are STILL tryna update bump maps and textures for CE to make it correct. all the games are still fucked and not preserving the games, the 60 tic rate that makes all AI do every script twice as fast is the worst

This is so sick. So well done. Literally the only error I saw is there was no iconic Halo curvature propagating out on the horizon, it looks like it wasn't shot on a ring world. Correction: you see the ring at 1:35 but don't see it at all in the 360 degree pan pelican scene over the ocean.

Why did the dude delete his channel?
His channel was taken down due to copyright infringement. He was stealing 3D assets from other people without asking permissions for it (and making profits from it) and the whole modelling community joined to speak loud. Bacon replied like a jerk, and got his channel deleted in response.
I don't wanna sound rude, but Baconmedia falls into the "shitty person, great artist" zone. Those who are part of the 3D modeling community have to deal with people like Bacon every day, but most people out there aren't aware of these "off-screen" fights because they just see "Amazing cinematics that put AAA studios to shame".

I didn't even like his cutscenes to be honest. The Maw one he did completely ruined the way the camera pans in the original. Then the FOV is way too low as well. Banshee doesn't look like its stalling as it crashes into the POA and instead just full speed kamikazes. Massive flash bang of a lens flare etc.
People are way too focused on objective high quality textures and lighting that they don't understand it is direction and purpose that give these things soul

Whoever made this took a lot of the worst cues from Michael Bay. There is no weight or impact to any of the shots. It's impressive and great work to get it all shaded this way but this strikes me more as a concept to show to a director than a sequence that deserves to be held up as "insane"
