I would pay wildly good money to get a 30th anniversary Halo CE with this type of CGI style. It would unequivocally have a larger movie narrative- expressing more of the book translations to the game
it is very likely we will get remaster/remakes for the 30th anniversary for all 3 games. Because graphics have progressed enough and AI would make it alot easier for devs to do it.

Very well done. In my opinion the Cortana model and more specifically facial animation could've used a little more work but it's not bad by any means. I love the attention to detail and your lighting and FX work is spectacular here.
I thought the facial work was perfect when she first loaded up holographically and was looking at her arms in astonishment to the wealth of data she was accessing. That level of animation and expression, would've been masterful if kept up for the entirety of the dialogue.
As for the face I think it'd be much better if upper eyelid moved more visibly beyond blinking. And some eyebrow movement Ofc it's extra work, but effective
I think the quality of the model is fine, I just think she moves a lot more sluggishly than she did in the original Halo CE cutscene. Lot less emotive, too
This is absolutely stunning. The first half of the video especially with ambience of the footsteps in the empty hall and the weight of the door opening opening is just spectacular. The sound design alone is impressive. Reaching Blur levels of cinematics at some points. I’m convinced we need a true cinematic Halo CE remaster now like Halo 2. That eerie isolation in a mysterious, unrevealing alien world is what the new games and especially the TV show needs. And more Cortana! The eye movements really sell her part. In some ways I think Cortana’s model is the one part that’s a little rough but it’s also I think the hardest to get right. This is amazing I absolutely love it

Dude. Even the little specks of dirt or scuffs and slight tarnishes you can see on the forerunner structure floors is insane. Yes the facilities are well managed but with hundreds of thousands of years passing… the subtle signs of wear and age is a nice touch and is incredible. Never thought I would be giddy about a digital speck of dirt.
@ only time will tell! A graphical showcase isn’t what’s going to win people over though. They’re letting Unreal Engine do all the work for them. They need to focus on gameplay and story.
The original CE art style can be hard to translate into something more modern. But what ever CEA was, wasn’t even close to what it should’ve been. Out of all the remasters game devs have managed to tackle, the RE remakes from Capcom are probably the best example of how to refurbish an old game for a modern audience.

Nothing that happens in it can be tied back to any of the other halo media because they made the conscious decision to make it not canon which makes the show completely irrelevant whether it was good or bad and doesnt respect either 343 or Bungies previous material or build upon any story we actually care about. People love to complain cause all Microsoft have done so far with this IP for the last 14 years is pump out stuff people dont like or want (or is slightly misguided but good aka Halo Infinite and Halo Wars 2). Its their mismanagement of the franchise that has caused that and a division between people who NOW like the show vs the 343 games (4/5 not really infinte since that actually respected the art/sound/gameplay already established before 343) vs the bungie games. They have created a scenario where there r 3 fan bases for the same franchise so ofc theres constantly complaining. Thats all their fault thou regardless of perspective u look at this from. Look at the last of us series, that show actually respected the original game and was just a live action version of the same story and everyone turned out happy there so...

Awesome!! The vibe is so good! The footsteps sound like a dude walking into work at a desk job though. I would expect some seriously heavy sounding footsteps, maybe metal on metal, but at least clunky and heavy impact sounds.
Footsteps were way too light for the weight of that suit. DoF of the camera made everything feel like a miniature, and the massive door felt weightless which further sold the miniature feel for me. Also Chief’s run at the end felt… off, like really off. It’s well done, and credit where credit is due for the work done - it’s a hell of a task to do, but there’s areas here that lack as someone who does work with this kind of stuff.

I kinda interpreted it as chief starting to become exhausted. The campaign on halo lasted over 73 hours if I remember correctly. Chief went to the control room after regrouping with the surviving unsc forces at a plateau with some kind of relay tower. So he deployed to the tower and then fought against a literal army guarding it. It probably took him all day of relentless hit and run attacks, ambushing and slinking to get truly into position to assault the control room. After this he beelines it straight to where captain Keyes last location was, the library then begins and who knows how long he fought there. I think
I love Halo so much. Thank you for creating this, probably my most played in the series, therefore probably my favorite. Everything about it is beautiful, I’ve watched it 3 times already. Magnifique.
Imagine hanging out in that quiet atmosphere, only echoed footsteps and mechanical doors opening, after watching Chief tear through dozens and dozens of Covenant in fast-paced firefight after firefight. This video would be where I as the viewer finally had a minute to cool down, and where I would be drawn into the story that would unfold. This felt like a movie scene man, damn fine work.
Thanks cheeks! I feel it’s usually because they will have grown to big for their own good, often times prioritizing quantity or quality in an desperate bid to continually grow no matter what.
Nailed it with the camera work, very reminiscent of the OG cutscenes with the dutch angles and crazy panning. Some of the animations look a bit wonky though.
Halo CE is my favorite game, so to see your cutscene not only capture the essence of the original game, but also enhance it was awesome. Overall, great work and I’d love to see more.
this was amazing! i loved every moment of it and the best part is this is one of my favorite moments of halo 1 and one of the moments i replayed countless times as a kid on halo CE PC because i never had an xbox so i always replayed the game and the OG PC multiplayer
INCREDIBLE! 👏👏👏 You nailed the atmosphere FLAWLESSLY! I am amazed with this. Brilliant opening, excellent camera use and audio reverb matching the cold hollow forerunner structure. Gorgeous lighting. The tracking shots of the ring holograms were really nicely done. The timing on the reload chambering the round was a nice touch. Draws suspense. It honestly makes the delivery of the lines seem outdated. At least for Chief. I wish we could get Jen and Steve to redo their lines for this. If they sounded as comfortable with their characters and in tune with the situation as they did in Halo 2, it would be absolutely perfect. Well done. Makes me wish for a faithful remake in this quality, and realize what the Halo show could have been if they just followed the source material. Damn I miss classic Mark V, it’s so nice.
Great job, like the presentation, Mk 5 armor looks good. Didn't like Chief walking around with his gun in air like a 90's action hero, he's a professional soldier he'd exercise proper gun control. (Totally aware he did have his rifle resting like that in CE in some cut scenes)
Beautiful. Amazing. Words just arent enough to describe this level of detail and work. This is superb. I'd watch and play this any day over that shitshow of a series they've made into a second season.
The environment looks like something I’d see in a theater! Absolutely incredible! 🤩 You get some people to do motion capture and it’ll be perfect! Great job! 🙌
The old series had some really good sound design, and looked as if it was made by out of work bridge builders. Those corridors looked like they meant something, that they had a purpose, usually relating to containment or suspension, or quarantine. Each door acts as a heavy duty airlock, and each corridor either fits a Warthog, or in the larger version seen here, two Scorpion tanks, Banshees, or a Pelican. The newer series was made by video gamers, with floating bits everywhere, and a massive waste of energy on display at all times.
The animations for Chief walking and running were a little bit odd looking, but I'm no animator. I'm sure those movements are so difficult to make appear natural. Overall, well done with this project. It's super cool to see one of my favorite video games scenes in another light.
I really like the look and the voices and music. The movement of chief and Cortana could be better, but I know this is so hard to do. It looks so good. Keep up the work. And chief is kinda slow. I mean he is a spartan. He runs like hell. He is a super soldier in a power armor.
I would sell my left kidney and *right testicle* if it meant we would get some adaptation of Eric Nyland's trilogy of novels. Oh GOD imagine if Halo Studios made some free DLC adapting the Fall of Reach and First Strike novels.

This video would be where I as the viewer finally had a minute to cool down, and where I would be drawn into the story that would unfold. This felt like a movie scene man, damn fine work.

Thanks cheeks! I feel it’s usually because they will have grown to big for their own good, often times prioritizing quantity or quality in an desperate bid to continually grow no matter what.
Nailed it with the camera work, very reminiscent of the OG cutscenes with the dutch angles and crazy panning.
Some of the animations look a bit wonky though.

Halo CE is my favorite game, so to see your cutscene not only capture the essence of the original game, but also enhance it was awesome. Overall, great work and I’d love to see more.

i loved every moment of it and the best part is this is one of my favorite moments of halo 1
and one of the moments i replayed countless times as a kid on halo CE PC because i never had an xbox so i always replayed the game and the OG PC multiplayer
INCREDIBLE! 👏👏👏 You nailed the atmosphere FLAWLESSLY! I am amazed with this. Brilliant opening, excellent camera use and audio reverb matching the cold hollow forerunner structure. Gorgeous lighting. The tracking shots of the ring holograms were really nicely done. The timing on the reload chambering the round was a nice touch. Draws suspense. It honestly makes the delivery of the lines seem outdated. At least for Chief. I wish we could get Jen and Steve to redo their lines for this. If they sounded as comfortable with their characters and in tune with the situation as they did in Halo 2, it would be absolutely perfect. Well done. Makes me wish for a faithful remake in this quality, and realize what the Halo show could have been if they just followed the source material. Damn I miss classic Mark V, it’s so nice.

Great job, like the presentation, Mk 5 armor looks good. Didn't like Chief walking around with his gun in air like a 90's action hero, he's a professional soldier he'd exercise proper gun control. (Totally aware he did have his rifle resting like that in CE in some cut scenes)

The old series had some really good sound design, and looked as if it was made by out of work bridge builders. Those corridors looked like they meant something, that they had a purpose, usually relating to containment or suspension, or quarantine. Each door acts as a heavy duty airlock, and each corridor either fits a Warthog, or in the larger version seen here, two Scorpion tanks, Banshees, or a Pelican. The newer series was made by video gamers, with floating bits everywhere, and a massive waste of energy on display at all times.
The animations for Chief walking and running were a little bit odd looking, but I'm no animator. I'm sure those movements are so difficult to make appear natural. Overall, well done with this project. It's super cool to see one of my favorite video games scenes in another light.

I really like the look and the voices and music. The movement of chief and Cortana could be better, but I know this is so hard to do. It looks so good. Keep up the work. And chief is kinda slow. I mean he is a spartan. He runs like hell. He is a super soldier in a power armor.
Personally prefer the cinematography of the OG Bungie cutscenes, but god damn if these graphics aren't immaculate.
