@judgefonti5786 certainly can set up a certain spin off of some survivors washing up on the beach. Then again, all plunging away into the ocean sounds much better in terms of the dire circumstances.
I Don't Think They Survived. They Most Likely Got Vaporized With That Jump Regrets Ship Did. It Was Basically A Nuke But With Slip Space Added Into It. Or More Than Likely Died By Radiation Poisoning. Sucks But I Would Hope They Did Survive But With That Slipspace Jump I Doubt It.
One of the best things about the old halo franchise was just how grounded in reality the humanity looks. There is definitely a ton of si-fi stuff in it that is impossible for us to begin to understand how they got slipspace drives to work, but orbital drop pods, space elevators, MAC cannons, it all looks totally possible in 500 years to have all this stuff, something other IPs like Star Wars and Star Trek dont do
Star Trek absolutely grounds it's setting in science, what are you talking about? TNG basically explains to you how the entire Enterprise works down to each power outlet.
Star trek is mostly technobable. Humanity in halo use technology that is pretty understandable and achievable with our current understanding of science, other than the slip space drive. Its what makes the original franchise so great
4:28 Really shows how big of a number that jump did on the Tether. It's not shown in Halo 2, tho they did touch it up in Anniversary with the top down angle. You can barely see it during the drop in ODST but it does shake before mickey's pod smacks into you seeing it here, though, Jesus, It's a wonder that blast didn't initially send the main tower into the Ocean.
A space elevator is less of a tower and more of a rope! It only stays taut because of the weight at the end of it, like spinning a rock tied to a rope around yourself, then getting someone to somehow waggle that rope as you're spinning. It will straighten itself out only unless the 'rope' doesn't break! TL;DR it's meant to wobble, but not too much!!
Wow this is cool to see. It's both a testiment to the attention to detail from the artists at bungie way back when and your cinematography skills, that all of those shots look like a completely intentional part of the cutscene despite most of them being done with a freecam, going far beyond the bounds of what any player was normally meant to see.
Holy crap, dude. THIS is how you remaster a cutscene. Now imagine what you could do if you had more money and equipment. This would easily be on par with H2A's cutscenes. I love it, dude! Keep it up. Just like Legect (@Legect) said in their comment, PLEASE make this into a whole series! Your fans are begging you 🙏😭
This was amazingly done. Rather than just seeing collision between Rookie's pod with the other, we get to see exactly what all that slip space rupture caused. Plus even at the initial drop, how it's more accurately shown just how many ODSTs were deployed for that mission. And how few of them went home.
Holy mother of god I CREAMED my pants when my high ass noticed that no, that is not a piece of scrap... It's a freaking Marathon. Props to you bc that was Phenomenal (the whole thing but yes that shot included af)
Its so cool seeing the exterior of the "Say My Name" dude! Awesome animation! The interior is cool and much more roomy compared to the cramped frigate odst bays you have to work with. -some odst probably.
Fun fact: the covenant and its predecessors loved using the slip space rupture, causing basically a planet nuke tactic. Mainly because they just didn't care where and when they jumped.
Yeah, the only thing it really does is displace the atmosphere at the rupture point, which is a windstorm without a doubt, but certainly not a replacement for ordnance. Where do people get these "fun facts", because they seriously muddle the lore....
How can that be? They only did this after Cortana figured out how to jump inside a gravity well with the Ascendant Justice and the data was leaked to the Covenant by an enemy AI
Funny story. I couldn't find any music from the games that fit the video, so I went looking elsewhere. The music in the video is actually a compilation of 3 royalty free music tracks. The drums, guitar, and the vocals are all separate. It turned out to sound a lot like Halo 2, so I ran with it.
@@ironsidemedia that's really funny, your right it sounds very much halo 2. Although I did hear what sounded like a bit of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn at the end. I am curious though which site did you get the tracks from?
@@Spartan_Tanner You have a good ear. Tracks used were Infinite's We Do It Together, then the beginning of ODST's Traffic Jam, then the compilation, and Forward Unto Dawn's Invasion for the end. The site for the music is pixabay.com/
Actually, the only 3d work I did was the space shots in the beginning. Everything else was either composited in the editor, or screen captured with a free camera in-game. The contrails were rendered by the game engine. Glad you enjoyed it!
That was great! Very nice atmosphere. Im curious how you put it together. I see parts of the original but were the other shots out of bounds with theater or your own make?
So, here's the short breakdown. All of the Space shots involving ships were 3d shots compiled in Davinci resolve. The rest of the clips are shot using the mod tools provided in MCC. I can use the free camera mode to move in and out of the regular bounding spheres that theatermode is restricted by. I just play through the cut-scene, set up my shot, and screen record everything happening in real time. Shoutout to Generalkidd for giving me the idea to use the modtools. From there, it's all just editing and color grading. I was going for the H2 Anniversary cutscene look with my colors and effects.
@@ironsidemedia I figured it was something with the modtools to get out of bounds like that. Great work with the space shots especially using Davinci for them. Its one thing to record it all but its another to edit it all, color it and grade it to be so pleasing. Amazing work. Keep it up!
Знаете я только сейчас понял, после такого взрыва все стелка в городе должны были быть выбиты, а все краны по типу того, что стоит в полицейском участке разрушены! Но в игре ничего этого нет

Damn… seeing those pods falling at 5:01… I never really considered just how many ODSTs must have lost their lives during that drop.
only Alpha Nine survived the drop because they adjusted course before the carrier jumped. everyone else got washed into the ocean.

I'll keep that in mind. Got a lot of stuff in the works right now, but more ODST is never a bad thing.

Absolute love seeing UNSC Say My Name here

Yeah me too, when I played the game as a kid I assumed this was a frigate or whatever but that's impossible because of the massive deployment bay lol.
Beautiful work. The ODST experience is surely missed.
Good job! Some really cool shots! Keep up the good work :)

I like how it's less like a proper "remaster" and more like a re-cut to show the angles we didn't get to see from inside the pod.

How can it count as a nuke if it barely kills or destroys anything? Sure the elevator collapse but most are alive and stuff is intact, not even EMP
