Thank you for restoring the table and not just slapping a coat of paint on it.
I used to have this exact coffee table & it was my absolute favorite! Nothing better than a round low profile coffee table. You’ve got a beauty.
One comment on sanding the poly finish. Mayfield Restorations who's done some competitions with Flipping Drawers uses just brown paper bags or Kraft paper to sand between applications, the results are great! Possibly a bit softer and less shiny looking but still very beautiful.
Hi! Correct - I have tried that and it works great 😊 Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
That looks beautiful--you've done that table proud.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Totally agree ... square base to round top -COOL!! I like that minimalistic approach you seem to apply to your "projects". Absolutely a "thumbs up" on this one! 👍🏻
What a beautiful find! A little structural work, some elbow grease, and skill and you have a fabulous mid century piece. Great job 👍
Thanks Chris! A fun project for sure. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the wood grain, it's stunning! 😊
Thank you! It was a really fun project! 🙂🙏🏻
Free? Wonderful! And the job too. Carol from California
I know 🙏🏻🙂
Beautiful
Thank you!
Gorgeous table!
Agree 🙂 Thanks for watching the video! 🙏🏻
Beautiful.
Wow! What an incredible find for free! Can’t beat those Danish mcm lines!
To resist sauvugnon blanc 😸
Good right? 😂
Nice score on this table. End truly came out amazing
Thanks! Sometimes you’re lucky 🍀
Beautiful!
Thank you 😀🙏🏻
beautiful table. thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Gorgeous! Love that table!!
Thank you!!
Love it, keep up the great work 👍
Thanks! Im already on my next project. A midcentury bar cabinet from Ikea 💪🏻
Hi,
Wow! You really were at the right place at the right time. What a sharp looking table. It isn't very often that a round mid century dining table shows up on any of the mid century furniture refinishing channels. Are you going to keep it? If so what kind of dining chairs will you be using?
Thank you
Very nice job…❤
Thanks! Came out great I think 😀
Beautiful job, Beautiful tab!!
So Worth the wait! So beautiful! Glossy is my favorite finish. It seems to not be the style recently. I’m so glad you did this one glossy.
Thank you Dianna 🙏🏻
@@midcenturyflipper the glossy ending was very satisfying! Thank you for doing the shiny moment!
Stsy tuned - two more (different) video up soon! Have a lovely day!
You were so lucky there weren’t any stains on the top for a piece that age👍🏻
I know right?! 🙏🏻🙂 Thanks for watching
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome job!
Thanks 🙏🏻☀️
Great build. Always amazing to watch a masterful artist at work. 👍👍
Thank you for the kind words🙏🏻 Be sure to watch next weeks video. Have a great day!
Turned out gorgeous.
Thank you 😊
Nice work friend, have a nice day Brian UK !!!. 😀😀👍👍👍.
Thanks Brian! It turned out really good I think. Have a great day you too ☀️🙂
Beautiful job, it’s funny some of these videos , I say hey , you missed some dribbles of stain or finish coats but you were on to it! Thanks for that. I’ve seen some dribbles of stain that you can see it after it’s finished, sad! You were extremely lucky to pick that up for free.
Hi and thanks! I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I wat the end result to be close to perfect 🤩 Thank you for watching 🙌🏻
Absolutely Gorgeous.
Thank you 😊
very nice find!
Thanks! Such a find!!
Can you just maintain a teak oil finish or do you have to put another finish over it? I love the smell of teak.
Hi! If you use oil as afinish you need to give it a rub every 6 month or so. I actually prefer that over laquer. Thanks for watching 🙂
I’m wondering why you don’t spray your poly on. Your finish looks flawless but spraying is much faster.
Good point. I did not find any spray based poly here in Sweden! Maby next time 🙂
Beautiful ❤❤
Very beautiful. Do you keep most of these pieces to furnish your home?
Thank you! I mostly flip them but the gems I keep 🙏🏻
Solid wood, and free
Best combination 💪🏻
This is treasure❤
Indeed! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I enjoy your channel, but I must admit that ANY of my restore furniture channels get that scrapper out I just have to skip ahead because when you scrap it sounds like scratching a black board, I myself would much rather use citrus stripper, it is easier on my ears and arms.
Thanks! I hear you and Ill fix that in next video 🙏🏻 Thanks for watching and the input!
Pretty 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks! I turned out really good I think 💪🏻
@@midcenturyflipper yes, it turned out great!
You will never have this. 😎
?
Hi! I recognise the glue bottle from another Swedish maker, someone who makes loudspeakers! Curious. Is it a Swedish brand?
Hi! The brand is Casco - and yes, it’s a swedish brand 🙂 Thank you for watching!
Thanks to you!@@midcenturyflipper
Why not have a damp cloth handy to clean up instead of getting it on other stuff, like your clothes.
I have my focus on the restoration 😅
Was is glossy laquer or satin?
It was glossy for this table! 🙂
@@midcenturyflipperglossy is my favorite.
I doubt that it's a dining table. It's far too short. You would need to sit on very low stools or sit cross-legged on the floor in order to sit at that table. Also, the stretchers would prevent 2 sides of the table from being used... It's less than knee height to you. Use a little common sense... Would you be able to use it as a dining table? Really? Perhaps it's a coffee table or cocktail table, for use in a living room.
Yep I know - a coffee table!
