Good video but can I suggest instead of having half the monitor cut off the video and the left hand side of screen empty move your camera angle so you're in the left of the screen and we see the whole monitor

I just got into PC not too long ago and I have this monitor. Do you know how to turn the refresh rate up to 120hz?
@@michaelmcguffin2842 right click on your desktop, and go to display options. It will bring up another window where you will scroll down to advanced display options. Another small window will appear and you will be able to find the refresh rate setting. By default mine was automatically set to 165hz. Also the monitor itself has a variable refresh rate setting that is enabled by default. Navigate the monitor menu settings to disable the option if you want a constant refresh rate. Hope this helps.
A month in, how's it going with this model?
I still love it!!! I am using the color settings from rtings. The only game I need to have the overdrive on fast is doom eternal, otherwise normal gives the best visual results. It has stepped up my game for sure and the 10 bit color really seals the deal with how responsive this monitor is.
I just got the 32 inch and went from a 27 inch 4K to a 32 inch 2k gsync. Playing everything is unreal. I can’t believe I held out for so long but glad I did. I love my 4K monitor. Shits beautiful and easy for video editing/photo editing. But damn all my video games just became much more fun and interesting
Hello Device Deal, how are you? Excellent video! Query: I bought the LG 32" monitor in 2K at 165hz model 32GN600 but I don't know which displayport 1.4 cable to buy. I want the best cable. I will connect it to an Asus Rog Strix Nvidia RTX 3080 TI graphics card. On the other hand... I don't want to use hdmi 2.1 cable because the LG monitor doesn't have an hdmi 2.1 connection, did you explain? Likewise, this monitor does have an hdmi 2.0 connection but I don't know if it will be better than displayport 1.4, can you explain? What do I do? Which cable do you use? or what do you recommend me to do? Thank you, and greetings from Argentina

I bought a msi at costco or best buy to play warzone and before used a 55 in 4k tv and going to the moniter was terrible and had to go back to tv. Wld i be happier with this lg?
Excellent review but one thing....the 27GP83 is the successor to the 27GL83 not the 850 series. They also have the 27GP850 available. The difference is the 850 series has a wider color gamut which tend to make colors look over saturated. Some people prefer that it seems. The 27GP83 along with the GL83 have more natural colors put of the box. So basically they offer a panel for whatever people prefer. Myself I'm a former 27GN850 owner and prefer the 27GP83 .

Wouldn’t the 850 better since it has a wider color gamut since it can do more colors to blend in for a prettier looking picture?
@@David-pk5ke ... depends on personal taste. It takes far more tuning to make the 850 look good in my opinion. Then again I'm not a fan of a overly saturated color palette.

BenQ has the best monitor speakers. Got a subwoofer at the rear too. I'd still choose this though.
Putting your hand below the monitor directly onto the screen to lift it its a recipe for disaster lol

We’ll considering PS5 has upscale fake 4k just take ur chances on 32”+ 4k monitor. No 1440 on PS5 if that was the case 27” would be perfect because of pixel density .

@@ramizraja3281 a late reply, but this monitor can accept a 4K signal, and will downscale it to 1440p.
So it looks quite good, a lot better than upscaled 1080p.

I got this monitor, and im curious, anyone know whats with the black edges? Its about 1/4 inch on the top and sides, it doesn't go to the edges of the monitor frame.
WRT Freesync and G-sync - It doesn't have "both technologies" - It just has Freesync.
The "G-sync" label is just a spin by Nvidia to try and hijack the branding.
-ie: under the "GSync compatible certification program" if a FREESYNC monitor does a good job with freesync, Then it's VRR implementation gets labled as "G-sync" -even though it does not have any Nvidia hardware or development assistance. There are displays out there with G-sync modules, but this isnt one.

Will this monitor upscale to 4k if I set ps5 settings to 2160? Or should I keep the ps5 settings to 1440p? Can it do that?
I leave the ps5 setting to 1440p and when I play a game in 4k fidelity mode the resolution looks even crisper than 1440p.

Hey, do you happen to know the dimensions of the stand? I want to know if it will be able to fit on my desk without being too intrusive to my keyboard and mouse. The base stand seems a little deep but I can't find any dimensions for it.
The tv itself is small however the stand it comes with takes up some space bro. It deifneltu wont fit on a super small desk.

GL850-B does have FS Premium, being brighter it depends if its in bright room yeah but if game with dim lit room that's going to hurt your eyes luv da vid bruh kudos

Yes, it has an aux cord entry in the back so you can even connect a wired headset

I'm sure you already figured that out, but apparently this monitor only supports 60hz at 4K for consoles and still even downscales it to be able to do so. It will look better than native 1440p, but still, not 120hz 4k or native 60hz 4k either... what a shame :(

Would this monitor be competitive for playing FPS games such as COD or would I be better off with a monitor with an HDMI 2.1? I have an x series Xbox.
Don’t think it will make a difference. All an HDMI 2.1 offers compared to a 2.0 is picture quality. The response time and refresh rate stays the same
i pretty much have the exact same monitor it came in with 165hz but I tried to adjust it in settings and the max refresh rate is 144hz.
Perhaps display port vs hdmi?

so this monitor has no physical buttons to adjust the brightness, colors, response time, etc?
It has one knob on the bottom that works like a controller stick. You can adjust everything with it.

Can someone tell me why someone would prefer and IPS over non IPS, I bought this one and it doesn’t have the pop of a non IPs monitor
It depends on what monitors you're comparing. Some IPS panels provide very vivid colours (generally the more expensive ones), and others, not so much. IPS panels are generally better for gaming than VA monitors. VA monitors will have more ghosting and blur issues in fast moving scenes, while IPS generally don't.
Generally, these are the rules for monitors:
- IPS: good colours, good contrast, good response time, very good viewing angles
- TN: OK contrast, OK colours, bad viewing angles, very fast response times
- VA: great contrast, OK colours, slow response times, decent viewing angles
