I bought 27gl83 at first as it seems very popular. Had terrible ips glow almost half a screen left side. Got replacement from Amazon, guess what exactly the same. So gone with refund and paid extra £80 for 27gp850 , glad I did so much better picture quality and ips glow very minimal. This seems great monitor 👌
Yea thats the bad thing about older ips monitors. Some have much glow some have much less. I think the gp850 is the second best option you can go for in that price range. The gigabyte m28u is a little better but thats just my opinion

It's a top notch monitor, given the picture quality, response time, and refreshrate. I would argue it's the best all around 1440p gaming monitor in any price range, super happy with my purchase.
I bought one of these yesterday. Should be here early next week. Also got some cheap Logitech speakers to go with it since LG monitors usually don't come with integrated speakers (not a huge deal though). I'm going to be mounting this into a nice monitor arm I got from Amazon a couple months back.
@@TechieSunset Yep, I can confirm that the monitor does not in fact come with speaker which is not a problem at all given that monitor speakers are usually pretty bad. I actually just ordered myself a pair of creative pebbles. You're absolutely gonna love this monitor, well worth the money.
@@abo_3a729 Absolutely, I haven't been keeping up with the market since I bought mine but I imagine it's still fantastic value. While I was in the market there were monitors that hit 240-270 fps which is better for gaming but they were also priced 200 dollars higher.

How does it compare to monitors today? 3 years is a long time in the monitor market but where i live it's "only" 268 euro which i consider to be pretty damn cheap considering my Asus Swift pg278 cost me 550 5 years ago and it was already an old model by then.
There's undeniably better monitors at the same price range, but that doesn't make this a bad buy. I'd say it went from the best midrange monitor to one of the best.
Sorry but this seems more like an ad rather than a review! You described it as this is the best monitor, without any cons. You did not mention about low contrast (even compared to other IPS models), lack of the Swivel option, etc.
I commented on the 800-B but I’m staying with this one. My desk has a shelving space on top of it and it is about 17 to 18 inches in height and since this is shown at full height on the page I can tell this one will fit once lowered.

@Sharon-ix9kh yes of course! Just press the button at the middle underneath the screen and you just slide that button to go left and right and it will go into the settings that you desire. Hope that explains. :)

bought this 6 months ago and it was great! exactly how you described it however it started to have crazy ghosting recently and i seriously have no clue as to why that is. Same happened to a friend of mine with the same monitor but also some other monitors. Can ghosting on a monitor be caused by a pc after a certain time? like maybe it gets worn of by certain graphics cards or whatever idk

How is the IPS glow on your unit? I'm returning it because the IPS glow on mine is horrible on the left side and not only in black scenes. Even cycling throughout colors when testing/looking for dead pixels, the left side is more brighter! Really disappointed.
Mine has a little in the top right corner but i didn’t replace it because it’s so small but if it were bigger I would return it. My only complaint is the lack of color vibrance
I just got the monitor and it... is... AMAZING. For context: The monitors I used for most of my life were TNs. I had tried a VA 1440p144 before this but I really disliked the dark smudges on anything dark that was moving around as it was very distracting. I have now replaced my BenQ XL2411P with the LG. The only thing that I think are slightly worse is the wobble of the panel as I use my keyboard. It's not distracting when gaming but while typing I can definitely tell that the panel is moving, so getting a proper mount is not a bad idea. Also the motion blur seemed slightly worse but it's really hard to tell. Overall this is a massive upgrade and I'm giving this one my recommendation. I recieved this product for only 230€ from an outlet in a national webstore. What a steal.

Bought this monitor and plugged it in and it was working great but as soon as I started a game it had blue lines on it then never displayed again. Even the OSD won’t show up.
Bought mine a few months back and didn’t and still haven’t had any problems. Only thing i don’t like about it is the lack of vibrance but even for $400 it was a good deal going from 1080p 144Hz to this and my 2080Ti can still push these frames in modern games which is cool

It definitely does do 1440p with 120fps on PS5, I got mine yesterday and set it all up and tried it out on fortnite got 120fps with 1440p. It’s a beautiful monitor, get it!

I'm tempted to get this monitor as JB hifi just got it in stock in Australia, are their any known faults/common problems i should know of though? as this will be the third high refresh rate monitor i have tried to by in the past two months as the other two i tried were gigabyte ones and I had to return both due to them being faulty and I dont want to have to do that again. I will be using it mostly with my series x for gaming/movies.
@@chevron-vw5rn Got it today. Looks good, colours look great and can't see any sort of ghosting / tearing. Little bit of your standard IPS glow in bottom left and right when looking at a pure black screen, but I loaded up Overwatch and walked into the corner of a dark room and I couldn't see the glow at all, so that all seems within normal bounds. There's a tiny bit of blacklight bleed on the top edge but again, can't see it in game. No dead pixels or anything. QC wise I'd say it's done pretty well for me. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Not sure I like the buttons bottom middle - I have a Tobii Eye tracker 5 that runs along the bottom of the monitor, will this hinder the button use. also does the bevel get warm after a while there too?
I think that Asus VG27AQ ist better because it is cheaper, better ergonomic, black and contrast level, LG 27GP850-B hat bad ergonomic and poor contrast and black levels.

Still holds up today as one of the best midrange options. Its on sale atm for 130$ less. At a nice price of 299.99 (300$ xD)

LG 32GP850 , recomended 100% .... 850 is 2k ... 950 is 4k (version)

I think that Asus VG27AQ ist better because it is cheaper, better ergonomic, black and contrast level, LG 27GP850-B hat bad ergonomic and poor contrast and black levels.
