Bought me a 97 GT for $2000 with all the bolt ons, driving it I thought this thing's kind of got balls! Then I get to snooping around on it and it's got npi Ford racing cylinder heads. Super score!!

Subframe connectors and lowering springs are on the list and so is rear gears but with no OD, I dont want my rpm near 4k lol
The subframe connectors even make a bigger difference on a vert!!

C clip eliminator kit for the rear, 5 lug conversion / larger axles, if a manual trans, pitch the T-5 for a Tremec trans, strut tower brace & drive it. (As you build your engine/power added setup of course) 😂

im pretty new in this chanel! thx for all the advice bcs my plan is to buy a lx this summer bcs in sweden or in the europe they didnt sell this mustangs at all. they only sold ford sierras and its very hard to find one here, only time u can find one is the cabs. great video !!!

Great list of mods, Paul! I could not believe how much better my car handled after full length subs, lowering springs with new shocks and struts and caster / camber plates.

Great mod list Paul! Subframe connectors were the first thing I did. I definitely need gears as soon as it’s back together! 💯🔥
Hey Rick, the subframes even work better on a vert and the gear will totally wake your fox up and help move the extra weight the vert carries!! 🦾🏁

Don't fear the gear! If you are N/A just skip right to 4.10, it'll be fine with a t5 or Aod.
I agree the 410 is an awesome gear for N/A and especially the AOD but I do prefer the 373 as I usually end up adding a power adder to my foxes. That said, I appreciate your comment and time for watching. Have a great day!! 🚗💨💨🏁
@@PaulDaFox Ya man, I've got 3.73 in my daily coupe. Just went from 4.10 to 4.30 in my street strip coupe and may knock the tire down to a 26" as well. The new mill in it is gonna sing to 8500rpm though. I'm absolutely addicted to the sound of a short stroke sbf! Your red coupe is gorgeous.

@@PaulDaFox Well, ya see I've always been the guy that does things a little different. Resisted the urge all these years to swap the 6.0ls sitting in my garage into the car, I just can't do it. Didn't want to go 351 stroker or big block. Thought a lot about a coyote. So believe it or not(which I didn't when I first heard about it) I found a Boss 302. A real one. I ran all the numbers, it's real. It doesn't really have any collector value though so I got it reasonable. It's 14:1 has a ridiculous solid roller in it. 274/284@.050".....lol .725" lift at the valve on both sides. An Offy tunnel ram. The heads have had an inch and a half milled off the exhaust ports and it has the plates that reduce the port volume to increase velocity. It's a pretty wild peice to say the least. Very unique. I'm trying to find headers for. And I'd like a single plane intake. Both are proving rather difficult to source. And then there's the matter of transmission....my t5z isn't gonna go behind that but it's staying stick. Maybe a Liberty toplaoder or a new TKX. It's gonna be interesting.

The subframe connectors make a huge difference. You’ll see what I mean when you get them in👊🏼

Biggest bang for the buck is 373 gear. Second mod should be On3 turbo kit. Now you have a low 11s car.
That gear isn't a good choice for a turbo car. Taller gears would do better with a turbo.
Hey Denny, I agree and did mention in the video that the 373 gear is the best bang for buck mod. That said, I structured the list more for someone just starting out and new to the foxbody scene, so I would do a power adder after these. I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching!! 🏁

(1) Gears (3:55 - 4:10), I run 4:10s
(2) 180 degree Thermostat
(3) Underdrive pulleys
(4) 130 amp alternator
(5) Short shifter
(6) Timing to 13 - 16 advanced (free!)
(7) Subframe connectors
(8) Drag radials
(9) Larger mass air sensor (I hate the idea of the 55mm stock version)
(10) Good clutch

WRONG Paul, everybody knows the FIRST thing you do before even putting the key in the switch.......BIG ASS 9k rpm tach with all the lights and try to place in the least optimal spot on TOP of the dash! who needs to see anyways? i mean everybody's dyin' as the moment you decide "....this local show or meet up is lame, ....time to skate out of here" lol
