Thanks nick, a drag pack alone makes a huge difference....there's always someone selling a nice used set, so no need to buy brand new. Thanks for watching, have a great day!! 🤙🏁
@@PaulDaFox got the fox storage got some dr on some ponies rolled into in 1st banged 2nd and hazed the tires . Thinking about some Hoosiers slicks . Got drag springs with a bag on the right side and uppers and lower control arms
@@catanza_ll Sorry brother I missed this comment as it got pushed into a comment review section and was automatically marked by TH-cam as 'Likely Spam' for whatever reason 🤦♂ That said, the slicks will definitely help but just make sure rear end is ready for it as I dropped an axle myself with the stock 28 spline stuff. Again sorry about the non-reply as I do reply to every comment that comments in. Thanks brother 🦾🏁
Thanks for your informative video. I don’t have a Mustang, but I have a 1984 Porsche 944. I have been thinking about making it a drag car, but it is a non-turbo car so it is slow. I like the idea of staging things and some of the ideas that you mentioned could be applicable. Many people go all in and put in an LS and make it a traditional solid axle car, but spend years before they can take it down the strip. I will definitely look at ways to improve performance incrementally before I get to needing to go to the extreme to build a full on race car. Thanks for sharing your insight. PS. I am Canadian also and Luskville, QC is my closest track. I went there on Friday to watch some pro and semi-pro racers. It seems like deep pockets are needed to take it seriously. It would only be a hobby for me.
That's exactly what occurred to me but I was much younger at the time and didn't plan ahead. I was running a slick with the stock rearend and boom; I snapped an axle. That was an expensive tow home from Cayuga which is an 1.5 hours away for me. Thanks for watching, have a great day!! 🤙🏁
Hey rob, I certainly appreciate your comment and your items are definitely a must do, but IMO starting with subframe connectors has always been and will continue to be area number 1 to address. I may do a continuation video and with Stages 4-6 and that's where your items would come in. Thanks for watching, have a great day!! 🤙🏁
@@PaulDaFox Agreed!!! we all build in our own way ..this budget build mindset thinking , you are precise on it....without a doubt...I like to build with a shelf full of parts ordered lol..esp these days "rollin my eyes" ..your tips are great for the people who want to build while enjoying the car!!! have a great day...Oh ...any thoughts on round tube or square tube frame connectors? Im looking hard into the Team Z round tube for my 85 coupe...dont want the hassle this time of cutting the floors lol
@@robturner7853 Thanks Rob, appreciate the reply back and I agree with different approaches to a build. I created the video in Stages for people to enjoy their car and also for budget purposes, so I hope it helps out some! As far as the subframe connectors, the through the floor are a pain in the butt and those are on my coupe in the background. I personally prefer the square full length subframe connector in particular the Steeda Full Lenght. I have those currently on my Terminator Cobra and have used them on several coupes so those are my go too. They fit great and I like that they come with a torque box reinforcement plate as well. Again thanks for the great chat🙌🏼🏁
all good info Paul! Some track have a street car night which is a great place to start for first timers and don't run your a/c once your in the staging lanes, you don't want to be dropping water on the track!
Great tip on the A/C....I haven't seen a specific street car night in our area for awhile. Our TNT's are a mixed from mild to wild, but they do run a street class no prep! 🏁
Awesome video brotha!!! Takes me back to when I first got mine...You forgot about the budget GT40 HEADS AND INTAKE..Ford Explorer stuff super cheap upgrades...Ford ranger 5 lug axles..SN95 front 5 lug conversion and bigger brakes...Can you do a video on those items??

How fast to you expect this combo to go I have been 12.68 107 in a 93 coupe with no nitrous Valve covers never off stock throttle body and mass air meter
Hey Mike, this is a 11's setup which I've done on a 410 gear and slick. Nitrous is still one of the best bangs for the buck IMO. Thanks for watching, have a great day!! 🤙🏁
I bought some chrome fender trim for your car the other day….guess I will return it. Lol Great list, I agree with all the things you mentioned. No offense to anyone. 👍🏻
One of the best mods you can do is the "driver mod" learn your car, learn to drive and be consistant. Personally I've dropped over a full second learning to launch and shift better.
