As requested, here is some video of how the Indian Stage 1 full upgrade sounds. The cuts are in the following order:
-Start up is first
-Next few cuts are acceleration in sport mode
-Next couple cuts are cruising in sport mode
-Next is acceleration in standard mode
-Next couple is cruising in standard mode
-Last cut is just my filmer being a dork 😆 - บันเทิง
Maybe it's because I'm a Brit and not used to American cruisers but the idle sounds a lot more stable than a Harley. Somewhere between roughness of a Harley and a BMW boxer. It sounds really good to me.

Thanks for posting. I just bought a Super Chief Limited last week and first thing I need to do is get rid of the stock pipes. Sounds pathetic stock. These slip-ons sound really good.
How do you like it so far? I have a 14 street glide but I’m considering going the super chief. Question is how is it with passenger?

@@CodyMcDonald89 I absolutely love this bike. It rides great with a passenger. You can easily adjust the preload on the rear shocks with the included spanner wrench, but I haven't needed to do that.
Bonus I've had multiple people tell me, including complete strangers, that it's the most beautiful bike they've ever seen. I thought I was just partial 😍🤣
@@vtrmcs The Street Glide might have more suspension travel than the Super Chief. So if you go on a lot of haul rides you might want to look into that.
@@GingersKing you will need a much better, bigger seat for the passenger imo. I have a new super chief Limited 116 and the passenger pad is way small. Plus I about threw her off a few times because in sports mode she's ridiculously peppy

Which intake did you put on - the forward facing or round one? Did you notice any power difference before and after the intake? I’ve got the same bike (same color, too) and have the slip ons already. I’m thinking about getting the round intake because I like the cosmetics but am definitely interested in extra permanent too!
I have the Indian round Stage 1 intake. It was put on before I took delivery so I can't make a comparison.
One note, I put on forward controls, and my leg definitely hits it quite a bit. I like the aesthetics of the round one but the forward one I don't think your leg will hit if you plan on adding forwards.
Great video man!!! Looking to get this potentially as my first cruiser, but really wanted to find a video that covers the sound quality and the ride throughs. Overall, would you say it’s worth the price? With the exhaust package it sounds like you have how much was the total?
Sorry I missed this one. If you buy it from factory it's about $800 just for the exhaust which includes the tune, but the dealership will probably charge $50-$100 to flash the tune for you.
So, with destination that would put it right about $18,900 + whatever the dealership prep fees are at the dealership you're going through (mine charges &350) and tax and license in your area.
With the power, tech, styling, handling, etc, I'd definitely say it's worth it. It just feels awesome every time I climb aboard. Hope this helps and enjoy whatever you decide to get!

Hi, Bike sounds good, Did you get to ride the bike before the stage 1 install for a notice in power difference?
I went on a couple demo rides. The stage 1 certainly added some snap, especially since the parts come with an updated tune by Indian. Not a mind blowing difference but it's there.
Can not find thos kit for sale anywhere, any part numbers?
How loud is it? Is it much louder than stock? I have a Dark Horse on order and I got the stage 2 kit that comes with this exhaust.
It's a lot louder than the stock exhaust, but that cat still muffles it quiet a bit. I'm jealous, I ordered the Stage 2 but the tune isn't approved on California (at least not yet). Looks like I have to "go to Arizona!" 🤔😅

I’m having a hard time deciding whether to go with Indian dark horse or a Fat bob. What’s your honest opinion?
Need your help Brother. Can’t find any here in northern cal.
The Fat Bob was the closest bike I was looking at. I saw this and was like holy sheet! Plus the hidden nav, ride modes and stuff was awesome for the price. And either motor is great but this 116 is killer.
But yeah they're going to be hard to come by, especially the Dark Horse models. They all have the Ride Command tach/info system so the worldwide chip shortage is really making production slow down. I guess it depends if you can wait. Haha Fat Bob is still nice with a lot of customization that can be done.

@@crisvaldez1447 I ordered the parts when I ordered the bike. They don't come pre installed from the factory, the dealer has to do it. So make sure you get their labor quotes since that cost isn't included with what you see.
I was one of the first in the country to put down their required deposit way back on 2/25 before the bike was released so you can't really use my time frame. It will depend on if your configuration matches what they will have to make a batch of bikes.
I picked up my chief dark horse early March and I can not get mufflers until end of October. Suoer disappointing. I already drilled the baffles out of the stock exhaust but it's hardly noticeable.
@@GingersKing is that what's going on with the late arrival of the dark horse models, chip shortage? I pre ordered my chief dark horse early April and still waiting for my bike to come in.

Finally definitely one of my favorites bikes how's the ride?
The ride is really smooth and the bike is REALLY tossable. Even with the wider 200mm tire I put on the rear it leans over and transitions very easily.

@@ZBULLET523 I would normally say it's too much for a first bike but mine was a Victory Vegas which was even heavier so go for it! Haha But a smart move staying with Touring mode for awhile!

I ordered mine long before it was released so my lead time was certainly different than ordering now. It's been rough for everyone 🤕

@@GingersKing thanks man. That bike is bad ass. I’ve currently been riding a Yamaha Mt09 for the past 3 years and it’s been a wonderful bike, but not really the best for riding 2 up or any distance riding at all. I’ve really been thinking about one of these Indians. They are beautiful bikes

@@GingersKing I love the bike. After about an hour though of riding, even with the comfort seat I start getting cramped up and hot spots. That is riding with a passenger. By myself it’s not too awful bad. By myself I’m good for about 2 hours.

Try a set of "Crusher exhaust tips".
I already changed over to the Freedom Performance Combat 2-1. She sounds anything but tame now 😉

Yes depending on how aggressively you shut the throttle. But the tune will make a huge difference on this (you’ll definitely want a tune)

any idea what the stage 1 puts the HP at?
No clue but she scoots. Haha. I heard it should be above 100hp with the tune but not sure. If Indian doesn't get a Stage 2 approval for California emissions I'll add a tuner and do a before and after dyno

As an update, my bike was dropped off at Freedom Performance Exhaust so they could build a new 2-into-1 system (like the a Combat on the Scout) so I didn't get to dyno. Hopefully they did to get a baseline before they took the Stage 1 off! We'll see soon ..

When you buy the pipes, air cleaner or the whole Stage 1 combined from Indian they include the tunes

Damn, that's a crazy law. I would just make sure that whatever system you get is below the decibel limit. Usually the manufacturer will have the measurements. You can buy a cheap decibel meter to make sure you're good after you install as well.
dry and sharp. I don't understand why it doesn't sound better. It sounds good but should sound more smooth and dark. Now more rattling sound which is harsh and sharp as I said. I miss Vicktory.
