- The Atomstack A10 Pro or the X7 Pro are premium laser engravers which use the state of the art Atomstack M50 laser module which packs a good punch! I tested the machine with a standard wood engraving pattern (power scale, interval test and photo engraving), a focus distance test, and plywood and hardwood cutting test. I also measured the focus spot size by engraving a test pattern on anodized aluminium and used a microscope to measure the beam size.

If the alignment test showed it was not aligned correctly, how would you adjust it?
This would show that the limit switches are not precise enough or the homing procedure is too fast. Usually all machines with limit switches are pretty accurate.
Do any reflective materials damage the laser? I know that is one problem for some things like this.
Maybe if you would put a mirror directly below it, but why you do it :) i think that normal materials that can be cut can't hurt the machine

You can't cut clear acrylic with any diode laser. you can only engrave it.

S9 is less powerful, but better value for money, if you don't need extra features that the A10 has. Both are good engravers in their price range.

I have an Atomstack A5 Pro+ and I want to upgrade to a 10W machine , so many choices, With or Without limit switchs? dunno Any Ideas? I have a computer dedicated , and using Lightburn, So the ability to use and HD card isn't important.
Limit switches are definitely worth it. If machine stops mid work or you stop it for whatever reason, you will be able to recalibrate and start from where it stopped
have you tried .25 MDF with it? wondering settings
Ho I haven't. The mdf comes in various qualities. Some doesn't cut at all, not even with CO2 laser, some is as easy to cut as plywood. You need to find your own settings. But I would use 300-600mm/min and full power and as many passes as needed to cut through

For serious use, the A10 or xTool, if you have lower budget then the Sculpfun S9. None if the lasers can cut metal

Can that cut transparent acrylic too?
None of the diode lasers can cut transparent acrylic.
May I ask why it can only cut black arcyl? How is transparent arcyl?
The darker the color, the more light is absorbed. It can also cut red, green and yellow, but the cutting performance is reduced. It can't cut white and transparent because light bounces off or it goes through without significant effect. This is because diode lasses work in visible light spectrum. Co2 lasers use infrared light which is basically heat and it "sticks"to all materials

Sculpfun(299$) has best price performance ratio. A10 Pro is better, but much more expensive (589$)
Are there some diference between A10 and S10 pro? Or are the same?
It says in the product description: Except for the color, S10 Pro and A10 Pro have exactly the same configuration function and value. You can choose the color and name you like.

How can I engrave 301 metal (reflective) with the Atomstack A10 Pro?
Spray a thin layer of some black paint on the piece which is easy to remove. Then engrave with slow speed (200-400mm/min and full power.
@@JTMakesIt Thank you for reply. I´ve tried it with a whiteboard marker and your settings and it doesn´t work. The gold mirror card is just a little bit white at the engraved place. You know how to fix that?

Hello I'm looking to start it as a profession but I'm confused Which machine i should buy in minimum cost but maximum potential.. and also guidelines how to use it
For a small business, the Atomstack A10 is a great option. But you can also check my video of the xTool D1. For both machines you have a lot of tutorials and insttuctions on how you use it. I recommend using Lightburn software.

Can someone help me out I cannot get the fire button to work on my new Adam stack. I enable it in lightburn 25% but when I hit the fire but it never works.
But does the laser work normally?
Yes it does but without the fire button working it’s difficult to line up my work pieces perfectly

I have just bought one but I have problem with matching it with Lightburn. The engraver work area doesn't match with Lightburn work space . And as you tested at the begging of the video the alignment of the engraving ,I have problem with that too the alignment was so bad every time I homing the laser head and start over the same engraving its does not engrave in the same place I think that because of the matching issue ... I hope you help me to solve this problem
In Lightburn go to Edit -> Device Settings and set the correct working size of the A10 laser.

Yes the machine hits the mechanical limits because it being added 60 mm to the X axis and 10 mm to Y axis
When I start the machine, the coordinates of the laser head are taken by the program as the starting point. Suppose that the coordinates of the laser head when I operate the machine are x = 60 mm and y = 60, but the program considers these coordinates x = 0 and y = 0, so I press the home button and write the following code G92 X0 Y0 so that the program knows that these are the coordinates of the home Then start working. But as soon as I finish engraving a specific design and move to another design, the problem comes back and there is also another problem, which is that when I stop engraving due to a design error or the like and go back to work, the coordinates get complicated again, always adding 60 mm on the X axis and 10 mm on the Y axis and that also happens when I press the home button 60 mm for X and 10 mm For Y so I have to write that code again.

No, Diode lasers can't mark copper aluminum or brass. You need fiber laser for that. Check my other videos

I'm in an indecision because I really don't know if the price difference between them are worth it. example: A10 pro costs 400, Xtoll D1 460, Xtool D1 pro 500, S30 Pro 470.. I'm gonna see them again and make a list of pros and cons.. LOL

How do I get an SD Card for my 7X? There was not one in my shipment and it will not work without one.. I was disappointed after paying over $600 for this machine.. I also found out that there was a charge for using some of the programs that are required to use this machine.. I am very disappointed.. Also there were not glasses included with this machine..
This is strange. Did you buy brand new machine? I think that sd card should be included, but it works with any sd card. You can buy it anywhere for ~3$. It works without sd card, I almost never use it. You can see in the video that it is not inserted. Also LaserGRBL software is completely free, but majority of people use Lightburn because it is much better. And glasses should be included with the machine
@@JTMakesIt No there was not a SD card included, and no glasses.. And yes it was a new machine from Amazon.. I tried to contact Amazon, with less than favorable results.. I have tried to use the machine but get a message about no SD card installed.. Can I use a bought card, or is there programs included on the card from the manufacture? Thank you for your reply.. @@ThePullnfool you can use empty sd card. Sd card is only needed for offline engraving - running gcode programs from sd card without computer. Otherwise you don't need it. You can even disconnect the display and it will work normally.
