Have learned so much over the years from Jay. Man is a book of knowledge. Thanks for everything!
Always a pleasure working with you. This has been fun.
Jrod I was curious to know what stroker kit you and Jay used was it 3.2 or did you go higher?
So when you gonna break out the yellow vr-4 again? lol
@@Final_Boss_Racing3.2
@@JrodsGarage gotcha and I’ve heard it gets a little risky if you go to 3.3 or 3.4 so that’s why I was asking. Also just subscribed to your channel excited to watch y’all build this thing.
2JZ builds never get old!!!
You can say that again haha
Saturday morning and a 40 min 2j build with Jay....does it get any better 😂
Right on!
Jay, you are a Artisan, it's always a pleasure to watch you work
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words.
- Jay
In 20 years time I'll still come back to these videos to watch them all over again. Thanks Jay and team!!
Love this! Greatly appreciate you and everyone who enjoys these videos.
Love when wife's support husband!! J is doing right!
Jays breakdown of the main bearings is perfect, it also details the reason i prefer high volume vs high pressure oil pumps
i can listen to jay for houres,he talks so easy and explainable, him sharing his knowledge over the years have helped me so much to understand about engine components, igniton, fuel ect
The patience, the clear explanation, the knowledge.... Jay is a master and he makes even someone with zero engine build experience, feel like a professional.
I love how at 16:03 the guy mentions repo boxes and Jrod from real st. Shuts him up. Completely changes the topic haha. Someone has a sponsor.
Invaluable knowledge. Thanks for making this!
Thanks for watching!
Racing is not cheap, especially when you’re the fastest.
Racing isn’t cheap when you’re the one fronting the entire build
Although a complex process with lots to think about, it's crazy how simple and straightforward jz engines are for what they're capable of compared to modern engines.
I swear, everytime I see one of these videos it gets me in the mood of building a motor
Haha we feel the same way.
I'm a gear head, but thank you so much, Jay, for breaking it down without being condescending.
Really appreciate it.
Always intrigued listening to Jay
Wow...I would love to build my 2jz with Jay. Great video!
I love it, S/O to the husband and wife. Quality content.
LET'S GO JAY & J ROD...🏁
I know it's not a feasible practice at all, but how awesome would it be to have an option to sit in with your engine builder (especially Jay) and have them walk you through your engine build. It would certainly make people appreciate more the costs that they spend on parts and labor. Jay is an absolute treasure.
That would let be feasible simply because of time/money lost.. I guess you could but it's be really expensive I bet
@freedomfox8183 that's why I said it would not be a feasible practice...
thats day one in school video, still great video for beginners
Jay is the 2jzgte god.
I love these build series
Outstanding Child !
great video goes really in depth on all key components of tiny differences in parts and understanding the function of the design helps the engine builder get the most out of it.
Beautiful information, about assembly engine ! Congrats 🎉
Awesome video
Great job Jay!!
Thanks, Michelle.
@37:57 _"but since the bolt is steel and the tensioner is steel, the similar metals will marry over time, they're frozen."_ You mean they exhibit cold welding / galling? Makes sense. Unlubricated direct metal-to-metal sliding contact will do that, some alloy combinations more than others.
Mesmerizing
Thanks for the tips now im gonna build my 110cc scooter to 200mm bore 50mm stroke single piston engine
Badass setup, badass video🤘🏻🤘🏻 Jay is a monster 🤜🏻🤛🏻💯
Killer content as always! RSP is the G.O.A.T.
I've got a LS1 short block and assorted parts for my 2010 335i swap but that Dart 2j block they makin looks mighty tasty...
Fascinating 💯🇯🇲
Awesome content cant wait to see this car done
100%
I'M PROUD TO BE AN ENGINE NERD!
good stuff
Thanks!
I love 2JZ
Finally, the video I was waiting for. This will fit perfectly in my Nissan Altima.
Jokes aside, nice video.
Thanks! LOL
I'm ready for Jay's 1200 calorie cakes! 😂 loved the video! This needs to be on PBS!
Superb video, very informative.
You are a great teacher.
little question what camera are you using. The quality is top notch. Might be the best setup in the youtube automotive industry.
Built a 65 289 ford with my son for his Falcon n yes, he has way more respect for the vehicle now that his money n labor went into it. Must say though, the 2JZ is a work of art.
Dang
GoO Jay ! ...
My old lady doesn't notice when I change my blow off valve on my 2j 😢
More kseries build would be good but it a pleasure every engine build but see machining and mesurement before build would be good 🥇🤘🏼
Thoughts on a 96mm 9.1 vs 94mm 10.1 on a 7675? having a hard time I don’t see many 3.6 strokers here on TH-cam.
Question, do they make a stroker crank for the 1jz?
Man...Everytime that I fly into Sanford I always say, I would love to stop there!!! Next time I fly in, would it be OK to stop there and get some footage??? We always fly into Sanford and drive to Daytona...Straight through flight...
For sure! Stop by next time.
is there any chance i could get a specific part list as well as est price for machining
The same crank should work?
Could you let me know what main studs you use with the billet main caps in that engine please? I'm gathering parts/building my 2j gte vvti for a swop into my jzx100 Chaser. I've got 625+ head studs, the BC rods come with 625's, and I've got billet main caps to go in but don't want to have it line bored until I've got the correct studs for the caps I'm using. Watching your videos u obviously are up there with the best of the best, so my question is what studs did you use in that engine for the billet main caps? If you could let me know asap that would be awesome. Thanks
I'm unsure what u meant about clearance ing the nothch thing on cam cap anymore deatail on that an is that just hi lift cam or all
What main studs did you use? 625's?
33:57 lol 😂😂
Where can I get that blue T-handle wrench
Teacher Jay good morning
what do you use to engrave the rods
Yoda!!!!!!
Oklahoma! 405
Yes sir!
You reused those headstuds? 🤔
Better not show her an anodized billet block in purple🤑
Awesome vid like all the stuff you make is !
You guys build Engine to how do I get it to contact with u guys website?
I need some help. I have the choice of procuring a 2jz - GTE or GE model engine both with 40,000 miles I want to get about 600 to 800 hp I would be happy with 650. I also am able to get Toyota parts at cost at the dealership Both of these engines are coming from Japan but I only get to choose one which one should I choose and why the engine is a 1998 or 1997 how beneficial is my hook up going to be as far as parts go, anyone have any experience in ordering parts for a Japanese engine through an American dealer, any expertise in this matter would be greatly appreciated
Anyone can confirm if its a ge or gte please 🙌
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see this thing make no 1000 horsepower. Did anybody else???????

It’s actually a v8 eating 6 cylinder 😊
So the limits to that crank over 3k HP or. 😎🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦅🇺🇸❤️ with/combination of parts
