- In todays video we have @BalticSupraRacing back in for a teardown on his 2000hp 2JZ engine Jay built for him back in September 2020! This engine has lived an incredible life as you will see in this video. It has seen many events across the country and put in some serious numbers, over thirty 7 Second successful passes on average of 60lbs of boost on top of a 150 shot of nitrous. This mans understanding of motors and the workings inside is beyond my comprehension.
I have to say that getting to watch you teardown an engine whilst simultaneously inspecting the engine parts for wear and giving your opinion on what you believe caused it is honestly a 'real treat'.

I still can't believe there is 0 damage caused by the low oil pressure..really it's impossible..wtf this guy should buy lottery tickets..btw these oil pumps are very similar to the nissan ones..i tried taking the plate of one apart in the past and i couldn't remove ANY of these screws

The main things are going to be billet main caps and fire rings. Many rotating assemblies will get to 2000k just choose one that you want.
Anything I can get from real st I get, Anywhere else is a shelf lower...

Never quit please and allow no one to take this from us. People don’t realize how many lives cars change positively. I’m not a Supra guy but I love them. Weird car progression. Fc na fc turbo gsr gsr turbo ek b series sbf single fox. But I love this channel. Anywhere I can learn something. I yearn for it. It’s seeking almost. I have a bad case of mechanical ocd. I do everything myself on the car aside from machine work. I wire build engine trans diff tune etc. and I never want you guys to quit. It’s motivating. The same folks making everything more efficient and pushing the envelope are the same people they want to crush. It just makes me sick inside. If we would have stopped at the edge we would all have carb’d pig skin bearing hand crank start engines. We cannot allow ourselves to be regulated into history. That’s my opinion at least. Thanks again. On a lighter note, Jay since you are 💯 should you make the spark make 💯 top to bottom side to side or what? Cheers.

Absolutely incredible the engine survived with such low oil pressure for such a long time. I'm in awe. Can't believe he ran it with that low of oil pressure, and even got away with it... 😂

Pedro has the arch angels around him at all times, forget those silly sensors, they're mear distractions lol... But ok, so the lesson today is that harmonics can rattle an engine apart, however Jay builts such bullet proof engines that they're we'll within safe operational ranges even if oil pressures fall below 50% of expected?

I had a pickup tube failure on a turbo Buick refresh when I was younger that basically killed a motor. On the Buicks the pickup tube is bolted on with two 3/16 bolts and I think I forgot to torque them down. The engine didn't make any oil pressure at all.

Why can this guy make 2000 hp on a stock block by SxSBlog needed a billet block?
I have the same build minus rods and pistons......I have hopes of just doing low 10s.....BC6309HD RODS AND ARIAS Carillo forged pistons. Shimless buckets and 276 CROWER cams

The cams does not do 8000rpm, the only do the half, 4000rpm

Thank you! it wasn't built for a 2000hp goal when it was built, but these things spiral out of scope over time as we want to go faster and faster haha. He made it to a point where it was time to upgrade some stuff for his new goals.
