Getting a crystal clear video signal out of your TurboGrafx-16 isn't the easiest thing to do. Or at least it wasn't! The EDFX from KRIKzz allows you to use standard Sega Genesis 2 cables on your TG16 and PC Engine consoles.

This product is definitely needed, love the look with the bazooka cover. I'm assuming that this pulls the RGB signal out and that's why the clarity difference? Side note, woulda been cool to see a before and after comparison, but great vid, short and to the point, and great product for the retro community, keep up the great work!

You know, the direct comparison occurred to me just as I finished uploading the video to TH-cam. I should have done it! And yes, I do believe it pulls the RGB out like you said, but I'm not technically proficient enough to get into the nitty gritty of how it works. There are definitely other folks out there who have put the thing through its paces on a more technical level, like RetroRGB.

Does this work better than a turbo booster or do they kinda do the same thing?

The original Turbo Booster only supports composite. EDFX supports RGB so it is capable of a much better quality through RGB SCART or Component cables. Can be used in conjunction with HD Retrovision cables as well.
