the only reason why baseline ipad model remains the same design is because apple still have bundle of this stock in their warehouse. till they clear it, the baseline model design will remain the same with just the change of processor, storage, ram or camera
64gb is a bit low and price of 256gb is a bit high that's why I go with iPad 8 128gb variant, refurbished and around the same price of the iPad 9 base model
It is plenty enough. Back on the day on my undergraduate years, I used the old Ipad Air to download all my books, pdf's, and note taking with Notability. Never ran into any issues. Textbooks and notes usually take up less than a few MB's. I started using a first-gen Ipad Pro 11inch with 64GB since my first year of medicine, I'm on my third year and still haven't run unto storage issues. However, you may run into issues if you also download lots of videos, class recordings, etc. for offline usage. If you do, you can always transfer old files to your computer.
Him: "WHY PAY MORE!? iPad 9 vs iPad 8" Me: Its 10 bucks more in the refurbished store for double the storage on the base model, I am DEFINITELY paying more.
Currently on my iPad 8th gen still. The a13 doesn’t seem like a huge upgrade, I’m going to either wait for iPad 10th gen for 2022, or iPad Air 5th gen that is expected to release soon with A15 chip
Came here for the first time...but to be honest , I haven't seen such a logical , knowledgeable and reasonable review video , specifying the comparative part too...I was much confused before for what should I buy ....you made everything clear and I think ipad 9 gen is good and smart to buy under 30k ... I have a budget around 35-38k but I just don't want to regret after 1-2 years ...thanks man ...you deserve like and subscribe ✔️👍
Tbh I think for those who's really in a budget should get the ipad 9 now, since if it would receive the redesign, the price may cost more. But if the price didn't change, still both ipad 8/9 would still be a great value
What if we compare with Samsung Tab S7 FE? I am literally confused between iPad 9, AIR and S7 FE. worried about samsung not very good with the time, Apple is but iPad 9 is old, AIR is more futuristic considering that once we bought, atleast 4-5 yrs,we r going to use it. So is it worth to pay more to AIR.
@@ramasaretrivedi4101 The only thing that seems old with ipad 9 is it's lightning port, if you need a device with usb-C then ipad air would be worth it, but if not. Ipad 9 is still the best choice

I was wondering if I should get the iPad 8 with 128 GB or the iPad 9 with 64 GB. The latter would cost less, but 64 GB probably wouldn't be enough to get me through university. As someone who is really new to Apple, I'm not sure if this works out the way I'm imagining right now, so please tell me if this is stupid. I think I'm going to get the iPad 9 with 64 GB and pay for icloud if I need more than 64 GB. Does that work? PLEASE HELP ME, I don't get technolooooogyyyy. I bought latest model of ipad pro, but I used only for note taking and netflix. Seems 9th generation will be super enough for me to using. And that old design is really cool for me until now.
I just got the new iPad 9 on Friday the day it was released and honestly it's really good! This is my first iPad that I've owned and has been great for use as a student. I used to use my laptop for notetaking because of how it could easily turn into a tablet that I could write on but it was not that great considering the stylus pen it came with would constantly disconnect from my laptop and didn't have palm rejection. But now switching to the iPad, writing notes is so much easier for me. Using this has been a great experience so far and is definitely highly affordable as a college student. I definitely recommend it!!

hi! i don’t know if you would notice this but i’m a student and i’m contemplating on whether to buy ipad air 4 or ipad 9th gen, it would be great if you could give your honest opinion about this!
Here why I want to upgrade (besides updated specs and features): iPad 8 trade in value at Apple is $240 right now, and I can get the 9th gen for $309 with the college discount. Really a no brainer at $69 to upgrade!
In my country, for example. The price difference between the 128-256 is almost 160 dollars, I think is a better option if you want to buy some accessories like the Logitech combo touch (120dlls in Amazon Mexico) or even the Apple Pencil.
@@bossnatzutv Sure, i would love to take ipad 9 since it's offer more on 4-5 years ios update but since I'm more into media consumption. The quad speaker, laminated screen, 120hz, dolby vision, dolby atmos which offer a lot for media consumption. If money is not my prob then i would love to buy ipad pro haha.
hi! this video was very helpful, i love your content! i wanted to ask whether you could do a comparison between the ipad air 3 (2019) and the ipad 9 (2021), since the air can be found for similar (or lower!) price refurbished and so i think it would be a great alternative since it has laminated screen and smaller bazels as well! :)
Not only that. It got *bluetooth 5. *Wide colour gamot(P3) *Anti-reflective coating These are the things that a regular user will surely notice. So ipad Air 3 is better. If you are lucky upu could get brand new one in any third party store for around $300. (I dont think everybody will use this centre stage often)
My only curiousity is how it navigate, did it still use the old school way to change tasks like only using the button or does it also have full screen gesture,??
You can use both the home button and full screen gestures. There’s no setting you need to activate you just do it out of the box. Like there’s nothing you need to do to activate the gestures or home button. I sometimes use the gestures on my ipad 8, or i sometimes use the home button

Was wondering is there any recommended alternatives for Apple Pencil 1? How does it compare to Logitech Crayon? As far as I observe Apple Pencil seems to be the best option for iPad, hope to hear your opinions!
The Pencil 1 has pressure and tilt sensitivity whereas the Logitech Crayon doesn’t. If you’re not going to use it for digital art, the Crayon is a good cheaper alternative.
@@jordantagalog6803 Logitech does have the tilt feature but not pressure sensitivity. If you’re not an artist and you just need it for note taking Logitech is really good. I have one
Hi. I just got the iPad nine and I noticed that the bezel is a little different even though the iPad is the same shape. It’s much thinner than the iPad eight and it’s not as clunky as the iPad eight. The iPad nine is also a lot lighter than the iPad eight I’ve noticed. As somebody who is blind and autistic that’s something that I do notice because my other senses are heightened. I got the iPad nine because the headphone jack on the iPad eight broke. My group home staff noticed that the iPad nine doesn’t have as much basil and he even agrees with me that it’s a little center. I think it’s a lot nicer and the speakers compared to the iPad eight do sound really nice more like a standard laptop or like my phone. I like that. And I like that it has clear sounding speakers like my iPhone 11 and works pretty much the same so far I’ll be at bigger.
Any idea on this situation: I have an old iPad Pro 9.7 inch (A9X chip). I know that the new iPad has a A 13 chip but I want to make sure its a BIG jump since I will be going from a pro to the normal iPad. I know it's been a while and I use my iPad for gaming and drawing (I have the Apple Pencil 1st edition). Think this would be a good jump?
If I may add another detail to the display differences, if I recall correctly the ipad 9 actually have sRGB support, still not P3 but its still better than nothing so eh, not into displays so I am not sure if it is a big difference or not
Im still using my ipad 2 to this day(which my grandma gifted me two weeks after its release) , those old ipads are beasts, i only use it now for E-books tho , are the new ipads good as the old ones? Im thinking about getting the ipad 9. It would be a huge update.
I’ve an iPad 8, after having had an iPad 6. However I still have my old iPad 2. I recently revisited it to make it a dedicated ebook and gaming pdf reference device. Though the old 2 could absolutely perform for such a small, simple task, even my previous iPad 6 would be a shocking and eye-opening upgrade for someone coming from such an older iPad. Get the newest, or the 8 depending on your needs and budget. You’ll be absolutely overjoyed by what is given you, the user, in the experience. Plus…yes…the ‘regular’ iPads are still quite tough, physically. Good luck finding deals and enjoy. 🙂
@@machfront thank you so much for your reply, i made up my mind to get the ipad 9 with the 64 gigs storage (cheaper than the 8 with 128 storage) , but i have to wait until i save some cash for it . I guess my ipad2 will retire soon ,the best and most reliable peice of technology i had in my entrie life.
I have used an iPad 2 as an ereader with Amazon’s Kindle app or Apple’s Books app. Especially prefer the book covers of my library in color rather than the grayscale display of my Kindle Paperwhite ereader. Another feature I love on these older iPads is the way it lists all my purchased apps on the AppStore rather than the awful, limited month by month list Apple shows with the newer iPad OS’s.
P.S. bought the 64GB iPad 9 last week and am delighted with the blazing fast web browsing, 10 hours + from its battery. Since purchasing the iPad Air 1 i, have also had the Air 2 and Air 3 but, could not justify the much higher prices of the newer Airs. As my primary uses for an iPad are TH-cam, eMail, eReader, music player, Notes and Photos album my new iPad 9 is FANTASTIC and highly recommended for anyone wanting a great tablet at a reasonable price.
Hi. I am thinking of buying an Ipad 9, but i hear about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. I am at Programming College and i just want it to have an alternative to some basic tasks from my laptop and taking notes. What should i get?

I'm using 32 GB and it's working good so far... So 64 should be good
15 GB is already taken by standart Apps and the IpadOS on my Ipad9. 64GB is enough for School.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion guys
Finally, I bought my iPad 9 yesterday
CONGRATS!!!
Him: "WHY PAY MORE!? iPad 9 vs iPad 8"
Me: Its 10 bucks more in the refurbished store for double the storage on the base model, I am DEFINITELY paying more.
Good deal - I would jump on it.
@@TechGearTalk Yeah, Apple refurbished store is always reliable
I would wait for the Ipad X which promises to bring the legendary A14 bionic(I just hope).Though the storage upgrade is excellent
Uhh i think this is worth it
Currently on my iPad 8th gen still. The a13 doesn’t seem like a huge upgrade, I’m going to either wait for iPad 10th gen for 2022, or iPad Air 5th gen that is expected to release soon with A15 chip
I will wait for iPad 12th Gen...
@@TapanThakur1964 I am more patient than you guys and will wait for 19th generation
For some reason the mini has the A15 😂 makes no sense
Came here for the first time...but to be honest , I haven't seen such a logical , knowledgeable and reasonable review video , specifying the comparative part too...I was much confused before for what should I buy ....you made everything clear and I think ipad 9 gen is good and smart to buy under 30k ... I have a budget around 35-38k but I just don't want to regret after 1-2 years ...thanks man ...you deserve like and subscribe ✔️👍
Thank you for the kind words and for being part of the channel.
30k?
Got the iPad 9 for $269 on Amazon prior to the news of the 10’s price hike. Think they’ve raised it to $299 since.
Tbh I think for those who's really in a budget should get the ipad 9 now, since if it would receive the redesign, the price may cost more. But if the price didn't change, still both ipad 8/9 would still be a great value
Thank you for watching and for contributing.
@@hot_blooded1333 hmm that point I was neglecting,ty 💚
This video gave me a clarity on what to buy. So I came to a conclusion on buying the iPad 9. Loved your video. By the way this my first time watching your video and not even a single second my life is wasted in watching your video. And now I am a permanent viewer of your channel. Keep it up Brother. My best wishes are always with you.
Thanks for this video. I might just get the 128gb iPad 8th gen.
thank you so much my man for always making the best reviews i really appreciate how you include each and every point. and thanks for clearing the rumour about the laminated display.
im gonna be copping the 9 and use it for taking notes, content consumption and even gaming. im not gonna get a matte screen protector. do you think i should get a glass one? if yes do you have any recommendation. (i will get a case including for the front when not in use)
This video helped a bunch though, so thanks a lot!!!
EDIT: The iPad 9 is better than the iPad 8, I get that, but I'm going to use it for university only, so it really doesn't make that much of a difference to me!!:)
I have the exact same problem;.;
i have the same exact problem. what did u guys get?
I thank you for this comment ... I serach about it ... iam in the same situation.. iam medical student with a lot of records and notes .. and first time to use ipad in general... iam with ipad 8 ..128 gb ...or ipad 9 256... because I don't to be afraid about the space ... but I think about the price because I want to buy the pencil ✏️ also.. I need some help plzzzzz
Just got the iPad 8th generation for $250 and its awesome
Update: was able to trade that in for an iPad 9th Gen. Way better.
I bought latest model of ipad pro, but I used only for note taking and netflix. Seems 9th generation will be super enough for me to using. And that old design is really cool for me until now.
Pre booked and eagerly waiting for delivery next week... Already received the accessories
Nice and very helpful. Thanks!😊
I have an iPad 8 and love it. Got it early this summer. Thanks for this great video. I will keep my iPad 8 for a few more years.
True tone display is also a great improvement
I just got the new iPad 9 on Friday the day it was released and honestly it's really good! This is my first iPad that I've owned and has been great for use as a student. I used to use my laptop for notetaking because of how it could easily turn into a tablet that I could write on but it was not that great considering the stylus pen it came with would constantly disconnect from my laptop and didn't have palm rejection. But now switching to the iPad, writing notes is so much easier for me. Using this has been a great experience so far and is definitely highly affordable as a college student. I definitely recommend it!!
If you want to upgrade, just wait for the iPad X next year. That would be a complete redesign.
I'm super excited to see it
That is what I am worried. I want 2nd gen pencil. But I need an ipad now.
Ipad air is ipad x
Ipad air 4 is ipad x
@@raaakshshsgsb458 no the air 4 is way more expensive and the next ipad is probably gonna get the same design as the ipad air 3 not the 4 currently it's the same as the ipad air 2 design and yes the air 2 and 3 have different designs and screen sizes
A top notch video review for content, editing and presenting.
Much appreciated, Brandon!
Really good content, bumped into looking for an iPad 9. Ended up learning sidecar and quite a lot 😊 keep up the good work.👍🏻
i got the iPad 9th Gen abt 2 weeks ago and im so happy w it , its fast , smooth and fun to use
hi! i don’t know if you would notice this but i’m a student and i’m contemplating on whether to buy ipad air 4 or ipad 9th gen, it would be great if you could give your honest opinion about this!
Here why I want to upgrade (besides updated specs and features):
iPad 8 trade in value at Apple is $240 right now, and I can get the 9th gen for $309 with the college discount. Really a no brainer at $69 to upgrade!
I’m going to keep my 128 gb iPad 8 for 6 years 🤗🤗
Great plan!!! Smart move.
Wao that’s a bold statement! I think 2-3 years for me I would consider sell it and buy for nxt
Me too lol
I have the same exact iPad as you and I’ve had it for three years and it’s really good. It’s even running the latest version. iOS 16.
Very well explained. Wish you more subscribers and success!!!
The last ipad I had was the iPad 3 😂😭😭 this will be a MASSIVE update for me I’m definitely going with the 9
In my country, for example. The price difference between the 128-256 is almost 160 dollars, I think is a better option if you want to buy some accessories like the Logitech combo touch (120dlls in Amazon Mexico) or even the Apple Pencil.
What are your expectations for the regular ipad gen 10? Will it be worth the wait?
Same question
M barely holding on
Would wait if they'll change the lightning port
@@zerotwo8490 I didn't heard any leaks so far bro ! If there is complete design update, then will cost more definitely!!
I am a student and i have to buy an iPad. Can you suggest me which one is better - I pad mini 6 Or i pad 9 gen?
Its good to get ipad 9 for my first ipad?
Definitely
I would love to hear your point of view of new Mi Pad 5 with this Ipad 9. Mostly about media consumption. Thank you.
Ipad 9 is best and better than MI pad pro.
It got
*bluetooth 5.
*Wide colour gamot(P3)
*Anti-reflective coating
These are the things that a regular user will surely notice. So ipad Air 3 is better. If you are lucky upu could get brand new one in any third party store for around $300. (I dont think everybody will use this centre stage often)
Great video! Can I use any one of these two for live trading Stock ie looking at chart? Or iPad air better?
What about upgrading from iPad 7 to iPad 9?
Massive performance upgrade. Not 100% necessary but it’s worth it
Good review man 👍🏻
My only curiousity is how it navigate, did it still use the old school way to change tasks like only using the button or does it also have full screen gesture,??
You can use both the home button and full screen gestures. There’s no setting you need to activate you just do it out of the box. Like there’s nothing you need to do to activate the gestures or home button. I sometimes use the gestures on my ipad 8, or i sometimes use the home button
@@Lol-rv5bv tq 😉
The laminated display is overrated trust me, it’s now a big deal. Same with pro motion
Hi I'm from india I thought of buying ipad 8 but after seeing this video I will go for ipad 9 my first ipad thanks man
Very good video, what Starwars game was that you were playing?
Hello mate I have iPad 8th gen 128 gigs Wi-Fi with Apple Pencil would you suggest to change over to 9th gen. My usage is content consumption, reading, making notes and playing games. Please do let me know and thank you in advance.
Wow thank you for the comparation
God bless u

I wish I had the iPad pro 😁😍
I only need an Ipad for note taking really but the apple updates and the wide options are just confusing. Thanks for the video it’s helping.
Is iPad 9 worth it for 4 years? Gaming and school
Hey @Tech Gear Talk do you recommend ipad 9th gen for work? virtual desktops?
I have one
Thanks for the input guys!
haven't upgraded our iPad since iPad 2 so this will be a good option for me.
Wait till black friday
We would like a review about ipad air 4 vS iPad 9 please 😁😁
Please use it with MS office with both 9 and mini and tell us how it is
And I like that it has clear sounding speakers like my iPhone 11 and works pretty much the same so far I’ll be at bigger.
iPad 8 128GB or iPad 9 64GB price is just S$30 difference..
Great video! 👏👏
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the support!
Thankyou for explaining this :D
thanks man for the video it was helpful i have a doubt should i wait for ipad 10th gen or go for the 9th gen what do u say?
How does the iPad 9 compare to iPad Air 4? Planning on getting my first iPad for college and trying out digital art.
Video coming very soon!
I was eagerly waiting for your video.... thanks
Hope you enjoyed it! Thank you for the support!
Hi! What about drawing?
The ipad 8 is so hard to find for less LIKE OMG IT has 32 gigs of storage why is it being sold for £329 it’s a year old
Great video. Thank you!
I wanna know like u told us about storing data In a pen drive it was compatible or iPad 9 compatible?
Your iPad's wallpapers look aesthetic. How can I get it?
hello..... can you please make a video comparison between iPad 9 and iPad Air 4....... It would really help me decide
I traded my iPad gen 8 for the 9th. I can’t wait to get it!!
You get it bro?
@@garden0fstone736 yes! Sorry for the late reply.
@@haneenrose2671 did they give you a lot for the gen 8
@@garden0fstone736 yes, they took it for $214!
@@rkenw996update! i bought the ipad9 also but went for the 256 model, its awesome and fast and i love it!

Hi,
Could you suggest which is the better option, Sony ZV E10 OR A6400??
