I bought the 9 bc there was absolutely no reason for me to buy anything else! I wanted to want the air…but the 9 does everything I do with ease. I game, edit photos for clients, edit some video, and all of the other tasks like consume content and take notes….all on the 9. It’s the best value in all of tech. You will be very sad next year due to the 10 years old design. Major redesign next year for iPad 10. Best to have gotten the the iPad 8 last year and use to for 2 years, then upgrade to 10. For today's buyers, I recommend the Air, also serve to future proof. iPad 9 is for schools.
@Aerohk Why on earth would they redesign the iPad and have it directly compete with the iPad Air at that size? The 11-inch Pro is already almost identical in size to the Air, but it has the M1 processor and 120 Hz to set it apart. It seems foolish to have a cheaper, smaller-bezel 10-inch iPad, likely with an A16 processor, going up against the Air with a similar processor, screen, and form factor. Also I don’t understand the preoccupation people have with the “age” of the previous design. Sure I like my Air 4, but when I go back to my mini 5 it doesn’t feel out of place, clunky, or awkward. The iPad has a fine design with a good screen. It doesn’t feel like an antique.

I'd love to have seen this with a laminated display and pencil 2 support. Have to almost double the price to get to the Air 4 and then the pencil itself is another $130.

Correct, it's really the best to have gotten the 8 last year and use it for 2 years, then upgrade to the 10 next year with major redesign. Buying the 9 today will feel stupid next year, just look at it, a 10 year old design! Come on! Those who are buying today, do yourself a favor and get the air 4.
I’m using an iPad 6! Works fine for editing videos with LumaFusion or even iMovie, as long as they’re offloaded once done. SSD via Lightening Connector workaround using Photo Adapter is a pain, but works with Files. However avoiding lockouts (SSD not appearing in Files) by shutting down the iPad before unplugging it, is a pain. Will order a new MacBook when Apple brings it out!
Thanks to your videos! Always wanted the Air, even more so with your comparisons but ultimately got the 9th gen due to price 😅 and I love it for its price! It does everything ever so smoothly. 😍
I got my ipad yesterday and its the best iPad i ever had. Many people complain about the non laminated screen but its not so worse as it seems. I barely could feel the non laminated screen and it barely ruins your display. You should buy this iPad, literally the best
I'm strongly considering upgrading to the iPad 9. I currently have an iPad 8, but that's now coming up on two and a half years old and battery life is starting to slag on it. Amazon now sells new iPad 9s for around $280, so with the upgrades I would get (twice the storage, Center Stage) and getting a fresh battery to start on it seems very worthwhile.
Hi, I really like your channel, it's very informative, I'm researching because I want to buy an iPad to study. By the way, thanks for leaving the subtitles turned on, I'm learning English and they help me.
I love the center stage "follow me" feature. It's also on the Fold 3, I've been using it often. It's like having your own personal camera operator, love it.
Great video thanks 👍 here's a question if you had to choose between the iPad 9 64gb New or a Used/Referb iPad Air 3 64gb which one would you go for assuming they were at the same price point?
I also ordered mine from the most reliable store in country. Told me it can take time cause there have to order it from abroad. But I’m a patient dude so I’m gonna wait
Bought the 64gb wifi with cellular as a birthday gift for a friend. Got him the Apple Watch SE last year. He loves how all his Apple devices work as one.
Now I’m lovin’ my iPad 9th gen coz not only it has 3.5 jack and guess what the lightning jack earphone works too, not to mention the Bluetooth connectivity’s for wireless buds, you got all the options.
The ONLY think I really wished they'd have done is the same thing they did with the Mini. I wanted them to drop the home button and expand the screen a little wider, narrowing out the bezels. But I wouldn't want them to make the iPad itself smaller (in fact it should stay the same so it fits all the cases designed for it)... I'd just like the screen to be expanded.
Thanks for posting this review. I ordered the iPad 9 for my parents because they’re still using the iPad 2 and had mentioned that they get some kind of file error message when an iMessage is a video instead of a photo. As far as I know they mostly use the iPad for iMessage and FaceTime so I think the new front camera is perfect for them.
This iPad just made it easier for those who never tried any iOS devices in the past to make the 1st jump. $429 for a full tablet experience with Apple Pencil is quite comparable to how much they have to spend in Android space. I bought my iPad 8 with Apple Pencil 1 just 4 months ago for $500, which is the highest I’ve ever spent on a tech product, and it was still hard for me to justify compared to the $330 I spent on my Samsung Tab s6 lite.
Fr, if they want a bigger more modern screen, waste that extra $200 because this is a BUDGET! The iPad 9 is powerful and will be great for the next 5 years
I just got an iPad 9 today for a super good deal and was so excited since this is my first ever iPad and first ever Apple product. I saw in this video that it has a swipe up feature that all the new iPhone X and above use. I didn't realise that when you are in landscape with it that you can use the swipe from the bottom to go home or to exit an app.
Good review and thanks. Love how folks often say: “my honest opinion” which infers you are capable of giving a dishonest opinion. Thanks for keeping it honest ⭐️🐰
Hi! Congrats on your amazing videos, you're always giving your best. You ahould have waaay more views! I have a question, for the M1 12.9 inch iPad Pro, what's the best screen protector I can buy? I'm saying this because the screen is gorgeous and I want the screen protector that doesn't make that experience worse. I know it will make it a bit worse, but the screen protector that makes it less worse😂
how's this for an amazing deal: new, out of the box iPad Air 4 wifi+cell 256gb + magic keyboard and dBrand vinyl covering for -- $550 though I can still type faster on the smart keyboard for my older ipad pro, I figured I would get used to it eventually. great videos as always man
@@lifeisshørt_420 what if i only need them for uni stuff like note taking, downloading text books and note taking apps and netflix? which one do you recommend and which storage capacity?
@@hyeri-ssi6235 64gb should be fine for you but just Incase I’d go w 256. It really depends on how big those textbooks are. I would find out how much space will those apps take up and then determine if 64gb is fine for you. But if you do need 256 gb then automatically get the iPad 9 due to how much cheaper it is vs the 256gb iPad Air which is almost $700.
In my opinion this is iPad has probably the best value for money! And for $329 I think it’s a steal And you can get a trackpad and keyboard case from Logitech too
@@loki.8435 true! But then the similarities between the Air 4 and the IPad 9 will be quite significant I think the differentiators they can do is to give the iPad Air 90Hz refresh and maybe quad speakers and leaving the newly designed base iPad to have a regular 60hz and dual speakers Because with the new redesigned will most probably come the ability to use it with the magic keyboard
This is my first IPad and I am already impressed. You can run most of the high end games smoothly. I edit videos using Premier Rush and it’s like butter. I don’t think there is any tablet other than this at this price range with such a perfomance and durability. It also lasts a really long time.😊❤
I'll be upgrading from the 7th gen just because this might be the last iPad with a headphone jack and the price is great since they might sell it for $249 on black Friday as they did with the 7th gen iPad
Glad it was helpful Daniella. It should work well for that use case - assuming the camera is as good as you need it to be. You can always offload footage, once you are done with the video. Hope that helps.
Dear Producer of this very professional and informative video 👌👍🆒 I‘ve got a somewhat unusual question: In Your different iPad-videos You’re using a green/black sheet of plastic to show exactly where the speakers of the different iPads are located. What exactly is this kind of sheet? And where can I get one of these? Greetings from Helvetia 🇨🇭
Hi, great video, can you elaborate a little more on the front facing camera please? I just got one today and the front facing one seems grainy. I’m not sure if it is supposed to be that way. Deciding whether to keep it or return it to the store.

I just bought this Ipad 1 week ago, is really awesome, but I don't know if I will keep it! I think it's a bit bigger for what I need. It's my first Ipad ever, before that I gave an iPad mini 5 to my daughter and I think the size of Ipad Mini it's better for me, but I didn't decided yet, maybe I'll give an opportunity to this Ipad. I like the Ipad at all, but the screen size maybe it's not perfect for me. Let's see
How's this ipad for note taking? Does the non laminated display bother much while taking notes or it is not that noticeable? Should i go for Air 4 or this ipad will do the job?
Hi, I love Ur honest review with the iPad 9. I have watch all your videos pertaining to iPad 9. It made me realize that I have to buy this ASAP, if I have enough money in December. May I, I would like to request if u have time, to compare ipad9 with the Huawei matepad 11 and Xiaomi mi pad 5.. Thank You..
The large beset makes the iPad easier to securely hold compared to the other iPads without your thumbs interfere with the touch screen. Since the iPadOS and Apps will sometimes freeze or act up, the Home Button saves the day by regaining control. I find widgets are a big waste of screen space and because of them, when you go from landscape mode to portrait, your icons get rearranged. Apple increased the memory to 64 GB but they bloated the add-on apps to take up 50% of the 64 GB. The prior iPads 8 and before came with only 32 GB of Apple installed bloat ware consuming almost 50% of the 32 GB.I understand the actual OS is only about 6 GB. The interface changes to Safari mean more steps to make a bookmark of a website. It would be nice if the iPad 9 could be changed back to IPadOS 14.8.
Hi, I've been watching your videos for my research on which iPad would suit me best. Was wondering if 64gb storage would be enough if I'm a student using the iPad for note-taking on PDFs and recording lectures? Can i use an external WD hard disk to extend my storage?
Hey.. I'm confused like you too.. people around me said 64gb would be a bit restricting if you're planning to use it for more than 2-3 years.. I have the same usage needs as you and right now 256gb 9th gen is so much cheaper as compared to air 4th gen 64gb that's going to cost me half an year's salary with all the accessories combined :\
Hi! Were you able to use external HD to expand your storage for iPad 9th gen? Also planning to buy iPad 9th gen, however I am more concerned on the home button. I dnt think that it will last.
Given the Ipad8/9 redesign costs, it is a curious choice by Apple to revamp the Ipad8 over repurposing the Air3.....since the latter would feel like an upgrade from an Ipad8. Do you think it is about : the cost of a laminated display , keeping some room for the Ipad10, or about differentiation between entry models and the Air line?
Is the ipad 9 a good choice for editing videos that I'm welling to transfer from my phone? Can i move those videos easily to the ipad with this lightening adapter?? And should the phone be an iphone ? I'll be grateful to hear your answer
I'm considering trading in my month-old 8 for the 9 for only one reason, because I don't know if it's the iPad or the Apple Pencil, but when I mark up a deposition transcript (PDF) there is a major lag. Sometimes I have to circle a word three or four times before anything actually appears on the page. Tapping the up/down page locator also takes a few taps. I replaced the nib but it's still happening, so I'm wondering if something is defective. It's really frustrating, because otherwise this thing has been great for proofreading instead of having to sit in front of a large monitor. I proofread hundreds of pages a week, so it's a big deal. The problem usually starts after about 10 pages; up until then it's highly responsive. This would be a big decision because the closest Apple store is 80 miles away over mountain roads. Ugh. I know this comment isn't what the video is about, but since you're so familiar with iPads, maybe you have some insight. Edit to add: both the Pencil and iPad are fully charged.
got this model for my daughter since she finally broke her ipad air 2 lol .. it was bout time to give her an upgrade . she’s been doing good in school so she’s earned it lol
Hi there, great vídeos ! I want an advice from you: I owe an iPad Pro 9.7 256 gb and I would like to know what you think about moving to an iPad 9 ? What’s your opinion about this change? 🙏
I just purchased the Gen 9 iPad on HSN. I got the 256 gb, along with the keyboard, headphones, a tablet gooseneck holder and a 3pc handheld starter kit all for 699 plus tax. Q: is this a fair price?
Thanks for another great review! I'm shopping for my wife, as it's FINALLY time to replace her ancient Galaxy Tab 4. I was initially shopping the Galaxy Tab A7, and your videos led me to the Galaxy Tab 6 Lite. Now, with the iPad 9 dropping, I've got to consider it. FWIW, she obviously keeps her stuff forever, so longevity and support are important. She never uses a stylus, and the tablets are simply media machines...used to do email, and check reddit, facebook, etc, and watch occasional youtube videos, while chilling in bed. Which tablet would you suggest is best for her? Thanks!
If I want an iPad mainly for taking notes in class like in a notebook, and just for fun (watching videos, social networks, etc.) should I buy this iPad? P.S. Are the speakers really that bad? Thanks in advance :)
This thing will have no problem with GarageBand. I use the 6th gen with various music apps, only the moog model d makes it stress and that’s with the a10 fusion, this has double the power.
Is this good for photoediting using Photoshop or Lightroom ... Also is this possible to connect external hardisk straight with lighting to usb c cable provided with this
I love the iPad! However, over the years, I've come to realize I am a sheep. Following the herd of buying the latest ipads because it had "30% more improvement" over the previous generation. When most consumers just use it to browse the web and play games. What is going to drain the battery and lower its capacity overtime is playing 3d games. PuBG are games you can play on a laptop or desktop version instead. Browsing the web, get a decent portable 14" laptop under $400 and you have a keyboard, touchpad and play your games a low settings. I get it, different strokes for different folks but I feel people really need to calm down and save their money and keep your ipad. Here are two things to two consider. In my situation - I have a 2017 ipad that still works just fine and able to play games just fine. I dont go out in public and take pictures with my ipad. I usually browse the web or watch videos when cooking or lounging. If you have a 2014-2015 ipad then maybe its best to upgrade and invest $329-479 dollars of your hard earned money and get a new ipad and KEEP that iPad for at least 3-4 years. Dont sucked in to the latest greatest. Next year, all apple will do is release a new ipad that has 10% more battery capacity, move one of the 3 cameras just a 2mm to the left, 10% processor increase in performance, better touch glass and maybe a 10% increase in display quality. People, save your money. Save it save it save it! Dont be a sheep. Now, if you have the money waste... stop reading this and go buy an iPad.
Ipads are future proof I still have the ipad mini 2 2014 with 128gb storage. It works fine and good for media consumption. Ipads life span is up to 10 years with future security updates.imo

Buying the 9 today will feel stupid next year, just look at it, a 10 year old design! Come on! Those who are buying today, do yourself a favor and get the air 4.
I have the 7 and its fine
You should buy this iPad, literally the best
please tell me if working the same for far i want to buy it for video editing drawing and netflix
I have been waiting for comparison with air 4
It's in the works for sure!
Good or Bad? it depends with what you compared to. For me is an upgrade from a 2017 adroid tablet and I love it.
Please, make a video "editing in Luma Fusion using the Ipad 9". It would be interesting to see the performance ☺
up on this. would like to see one as well.. and if it also supports editing through external storage
I would be really interested in an iPad mini six battery test
Let me see what I can do!
Also a battery life comparison with ipad air 4
@@itsyeboigovind3115 the channel Juan and only should be posting a battery test with all the recent iPads that came out I think.
For my use can probably last 4 days if I tried to stretch it. But I am a habitual charger so I charge each day most times.
Already ordered mine today! ☺️ i added a custom engraving so it might take a while to arrive . Im super excited 😆

You can steal it so that you don't need to justify and you get it for free.
@@Layput how can you steal an apple pencil? they’re always locked
Why is everyone so concerned with getting rid of bezels and touch ID? The iPad works great anyways
Smaller device / bigger display
Fr, if they want a bigger more modern screen, waste that extra $200 because this is a BUDGET! The iPad 9 is powerful and will be great for the next 5 years
Exactly!!! There is option for less bezel and touch id less option model .
Go ahead and buy it .!!
This budget model has separate fanbase😳
I just got an iPad 9 today for a super good deal and was so excited since this is my first ever iPad and first ever Apple product. I saw in this video that it has a swipe up feature that all the new iPhone X and above use. I didn't realise that when you are in landscape with it that you can use the swipe from the bottom to go home or to exit an app.
🥺I'm also getting my first apple product and I'm thinking it should be the one 🤗so you and me both sis!
Good review and thanks. Love how folks often say: “my honest opinion” which infers you are capable of giving a dishonest opinion.
Thanks for keeping it honest ⭐️🐰
Just a question what racing game were u playing btw thanks for the information
I know it will make it a bit worse, but the screen protector that makes it less worse😂
how's this for an amazing deal: new, out of the box iPad Air 4 wifi+cell 256gb + magic keyboard and dBrand vinyl covering for -- $550
though I can still type faster on the smart keyboard for my older ipad pro, I figured I would get used to it eventually. great videos as always man
If you miss that deal I don't know bro that's the best deal 🤝 you can find
Would you recommend the iPad Air 4 or the iPad 9th generation? I’m torn between both…
depends what you need to do on them
@@lifeisshørt_420 what if i only need them for uni stuff like note taking, downloading text books and note taking apps and netflix? which one do you recommend and which storage capacity?
@@hyeri-ssi6235 64gb should be fine for you but just Incase I’d go w 256.
It really depends on how big those textbooks are. I would find out how much space will those apps take up and then determine if 64gb is fine for you.
But if you do need 256 gb then automatically get the iPad 9 due to how much cheaper it is vs the 256gb iPad Air which is almost $700.
I have taken I pad 9 after seeing your video ...and now I'm commenting with my ipad 9
CONGRATS!!! Hope you love it!
@@TechGearTalk yes sir 💖💖
In my opinion this is iPad has probably the best value for money!
And for $329 I think it’s a steal
And you can get a trackpad and keyboard case from Logitech too
I think it's an absolutely fantastic value!
If it had a modern design then it would have been an absolute killer deal😍😍 but, again I understand that the design could have caused a price hike.
@@loki.8435 true!
But then the similarities between the Air 4 and the IPad 9 will be quite significant
I think the differentiators they can do is to give the iPad Air 90Hz refresh and maybe quad speakers and leaving the newly designed base iPad to have a regular 60hz and dual speakers
Because with the new redesigned will most probably come the ability to use it with the magic keyboard
It's 299 at Amazon.
@@randaranatunga7259 They can give the Air an upgraded OLED display and add Pro-Motion to differentiate. And then they can add 144 Hz to the Pros.
This is my first IPad and I am already impressed. You can run most of the high end games smoothly. I edit videos using Premier Rush and it’s like butter. I don’t think there is any tablet other than this at this price range with such a perfomance and durability. It also lasts a really long time.😊❤
That’s amazing input - thank you for contributing to the community. So glad you love your new iPad!
Thanks Man!
Hello @Tech Gear Talk, of all the ipads out there, which one is the best for a student?

OR A16?? Both Are Not Making Sense In 30k Budget
I'll be upgrading from the 7th gen just because this might be the last iPad with a headphone jack and the price is great since they might sell it for $249 on black Friday as they did with the 7th gen iPad

Would iPad 9 - 250 be a good device for Phd research and creating short videos?
Glad it was helpful Daniella. It should work well for that use case - assuming the camera is as good as you need it to be. You can always offload footage, once you are done with the video. Hope that helps.
My mom just me bought me the iPad 9 🤩can’t wait for it to ship in!
Thank you for you video, always pleasure to watch🤗
Dear Producer of this very professional and informative video 👌👍🆒
I‘ve got a somewhat unusual question:
In Your different iPad-videos You’re using a green/black sheet of plastic to show exactly where the speakers of the different iPads are located.
What exactly is this kind of sheet?
And where can I get one of these?
Greetings from Helvetia 🇨🇭
You clear my mind sir..i comfused if ipad air o ipad 9..thank u sir
If you wanna cheap model take iPad 9th
Hi, great video, can you elaborate a little more on the front facing camera please? I just got one today and the front facing one seems grainy. I’m not sure if it is supposed to be that way. Deciding whether to keep it or return it to the store.
Now I'm tempted between iPad 9 or iPad Air 4
You are master in reviewing ipads and give honest opinions...
I got this model I love it iPad mini no face id and it way too much work unlocking with this model your thumbs is 99% always near the fingerprint scanner and there is pretty of space to hold it speed of this 9th gen is plenty fast RETURNED THE MINI IM HAPPY WITH THE 9TH.
Sounds like a perfect video consuming device :) i had the ipad 6 (the 2017 one) and i miss it already. This would be a nice update
2017 model is the iPad 5 with the A9. That would definitely be a huge upgrade

Hi, I love Ur honest review with the iPad 9. I have watch all your videos pertaining to iPad 9. It made me realize that I have to buy this ASAP, if I have enough money in December. May I,
I would like to request if u have time, to compare ipad9 with the Huawei matepad 11 and Xiaomi mi pad 5.. Thank You..
Looking for a tablet to watch movies and TH-cam sadly this looks like it is not it. Screen aspect ratio is too weird.
I need to buy a ipad for art and design is 9 gen good for that?
How does this compare with the samsung tab s6 lite in terms of battery life and note taking? Which is a better buy in your opinion?
I’m now using my iPad Pro 9.7,will you suggest replace it with iPad 9?
My 1st gen Apple Pencil is still work,so I want to go on with it.
I have the 11” gen 3 I pad pro but my two sons have the ipad 9 seems really nice.
Hi, I've been watching your videos for my research on which iPad would suit me best.
Was wondering if 64gb storage would be enough if I'm a student using the iPad for note-taking on PDFs and recording lectures?
Can i use an external WD hard disk to extend my storage?
Yes 64 is good!
Does ipad 9 take pictures like iphone ?
Because ipad 9 & iphone 11 front camera is same ??
Hey tech gear talk I have a question?
Does the iPad 9 Have portrait mode?
I really need to ask this?
I'm waiting for mine, can't wait, I got th 256gb version
Please do an IPad 9 vs Samsung Tab S6 Lite! This will definitely be an interesting Comparison.
If you had a choice between a great deal of an iPad 8th gen 128gb. or an iPad 9th gen 64gb. What would be your choice? Thanks in advance.
Can u put the iPad 8 white bezel on the iPad 9 or it won’t work?
Thanks!
Hi. I'd like to know for any updates. Which did you buy, the Samsung Tab S6 Lite or iPad 9th Gen? Hoping to hear frm you soon. Thanks!
Can you connect ipad 9 to projector using adapter?
If I want an iPad mainly for taking notes in class like in a notebook, and just for fun (watching videos, social networks, etc.) should I buy this iPad? P.S. Are the speakers really that bad? Thanks in advance :)
Nice video! 👏 I use my iPad mainly for my music channel here... obviously. In your opinion, which iPad might be best for the GarageBand app?
This thing will have no problem with GarageBand. I use the 6th gen with various music apps, only the moog model d makes it stress and that’s with the a10 fusion, this has double the power.
Is i pad 9th gen really worthy for artists.......plz answer in time it's really important 🙏

I am considering returning my iPad I just got a day ago
Looks good this time. Btw, which controller did you use to play pubg?
