Have a 22 full size four door bronco with the B&o system, first impression wasn’t too bad but the more I listened to it the less I was impressed. The main disappointment was the loudness and overall muddy sound. I don’t normally Blair music but Even at full volume with windows up and hardtop on it was not that loud which makes me think with the hard top or doors off most people are gonna have it cranked fullblast if they’re driving. After about a month and reading some forum discussions I ordered jl replacements for all the front speakers and focals for the rear pods. When swapping everything out I did one whole side first in order to do a side by side comparison by changing the balance back and forth. Before and after changing the center channel speaker. I was completely blown away. I really didn’t realize how shitty the b&o system was. The b&o speakers sounded incredibly muddy compared to the entry level jls. After I completed the swap it may not be a ton louder decibel wise but the clearness just makes it seem so much louder. I’d say 80% volume now is how loud it used to sound at 100%. Only thing now is the new speakers really make the shittiness of the factory sub stand out. Listening to some songs at 70-80% volume it sounds like it’s maxing out and I have the eq at factory settings. That’s next on the list.
Have the B&O system in my OBX and it's pretty good. Doesn't match the Bose system i had in my pathfinder. Sounds a million times better using any other EQ for an input.
