Review is good, other than some bad info on speaker locations. Rear pods contain a single 100mm speaker. You missed the kick panel location entirely which contain a 160mm woofer. Ford has a flyer showing all of this info.
@@DailyMotor those lower speakers are in front of the doors so they are always there even when the doors are removed. i think you hit the nail on the head with the consensus though, the type of vehicle it is makes it very difficult to achieve the "S tier" sound. I'm very impressed by the method you use here, starting at default and using lossless files is imperative when comparing vehicle to vehicle. Most other reviews do not take the same care and attention to detail you do. One thing i would mention is that it may be beneficial to listen in a few different seating positions or have multiple people through the car as a short driver and tall driver will have slightly different experiences. (Maybe you already have multiple people listen and aggregate, im not sure)
@@CaptainSargent666 Thanks for the useful notes! For some luxury cars that are designed to be heard from the back seat, we do some testing from back there. However, it is worth considering this extra element more often. Thanks!
@@DailyMotor my mistake! i did not mean to imply you should listen while in the passenger or rear seats. I meant simulating shorter or taller passengers in the driver's seat although it is true that some cars with have tunings done specifically for one of the rear seats. they will usually have a "chauffer mode" or something similar. i know of a few lexus vehicles with this.

I have a 2022 Wildtrak with the B&O system, no issues what so ever, the sound is great... Not sure what or why people are complaining about this system.
Just got the email yesterday, my Outer Banks with B&O soundsystem is going into production. Can't wait! To anyone complaining, I'll say this sound system is much better than any stock option but if you're looking for audiophile quality, you shouldn't have chose a vehicle with removable tops and doors. There's going to be a lot more road noise in a vehicle like this and it's going to impact the vehicles sound quality, a lot. Also, the placement of the speakers themselves isn't ideal because, again, the top and doors come off and that impacts where the speakers can be placed inside the vehicle.
Audiophile here ! I own a 2021 Outerbank Sasquatch Lux Bronco. For best sound on you B&O system set your highs to 100% Mids to 80% Bass to 20% I love it 😊 Volume around 15
Really?! Bc I have an outer banks as well, but I’m not not an audiofile. Those settings are best to your ear, or is there some type of analytics behind it. Any clarification is appreciated.
I think a lot of people here are assuming that firstly the mics are picking up the sound quality accurately which no they are not, and more importantly, what device they’re using to watch this video will make a huge difference in actual quality. This review does a good job of giving an over view, and at minimum an idea of music over road noise. But no way does a TH-cam video ever ever display the quality of a sound system. Your sound system being used to listen to it, needs to be better than that sound system to have a chance. Long and short? It’s a great overview review, but you’ll just have to pray to the car gods that you or anyone will be able to sit in one and listen.
@@tommydeleon8478 Tommy, my local audio shop gave me some good advice. They thought the baseline of the B&O was pretty good, but it needed low end big time. (The built in sub is basically useless). Rather than scrapping the entire system right away, they advised adding a sealed JL Audio sub powered by a 600W JL Audio amp. I thought this was a sensible approach that minimized initial cash outlay and I have been very happy since the install. The system sounds really good now. 10" sub btw. Hope this helps.
@@jeffwhite1278 can you go more into the install and maybe a video on it. Seems like a lot of us rlly want something better than what fire has to offer. Sounds like you got the right stuff
I have a (brand-new-at-the-time) 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I specifically wanted the Alpine system and I admit I've always been disappointed with it. After getting it I read many people complaining on the Jeep forums. I have a 2022 Bronco Wildtrak on order with the B&O system - and despite mixed reviews I am cautiously optimistic. (One thing I didn't want to do is get a $60K and then have it taken apart to put a custom system in it.) It might not be the best of the best of the best (shoot Mercedes-AMG puts $10K systems in some of their cars if you want...) but it seems to be a pretty decent setup. Thanks for the video.
I just got my bronco today with the BO and it’s actually really good. I also had the Jeep Jeep with the alpine and in my opinion, the BO is miles better than the alpine. Hope this helps.
This is exactly why I ordered the B&O. I didn't want to buy a $50k+ vehicle (outer banks), just to have to take it to a stereo installer and have them rip the dash apart on a brand new vehicle to upgrade the audio. I don't care how good and how careful the installer is. Once you take that dash apart, it NEVER goes back together quite the same. Drives me nuts. I'm crossing my fingers the B&O gets me decent enough sound and I can just enjoy it and be done with it.
I currently have a '20 Silverado LTZ with the Bose sound system, It sounds really great. I have a fully loaded 23 WildTrak on order and now I'm a bit pessimistic cuz I might have a huge upgrade to deal with. I'm a big time rock music fan and I love it loud and I won't settle for anything less... But I'll still judge for myself
i had the B&O system in my F150 and it was nice. With my new 2022 Bronco it does not have the B&O and it has a soft top until i can purchase a hard top. sound system could be better...seems no bass at all?? any thoughts on how to remedy that? I do not want a sound bar that blocks my back window? are there options for say two smaller speakers in the back up high on each side? i need an upgrade for sure.
I guess im not among the others. I just picked up a bronco today with the lux package and it just a nice upgrade compare to my standard speaker of my 2018 Honda accord
I have a true Android system in my Jeep. Installed it myself. Your part at the end about being locked out of your own music is the sort of thing that manufacturers do that annoys me. I was thinking about a Bronco, but screw that... my Jeep is perfectly fine, and have a nice Focal audio system anyway.
Man! doesn't that double honk P you off! Wow! I will say that I have a base system on a 2 door Squatch and I would have def upgraded, but they gave no options. So I replaced the front and back 4" with Kickers and it made a slight diff, but after a lot of thought, I have come to the conclusion that I just need a sub really bad. I was thinking of an under-the-seat all-in-one Infinity, but after watching your vid, I wonder if the sub bracket is factory-located in my back panel where your system has one?
Great review. Thumb up from me. I should be receiving mine in a couple of months. So the question I have, what is the best bang for your buck to upgrade. Can we simply add a more powerful/cleaner amp or do we have to replace key speakers? It seems the former, if easy to do (non integrated), would be a simple route to get music sounding good over highway noise.
Replace both the 6.5” kick panel and 4” dash speakers with quality speakers! The rear 4” pod speakers add nothing to the mix as they are too small! I would suggest a quality 4 channel amp 75 watts+ per channel! Also, think about adding a powered subwoofer! I know many people are tempted to go absurdly cheap on a $50k vehicle but i think you can have a kick-ass system that sounds great (with or without a top) for a very reasonable price (especially if you plan to do the install)! Plan to budget $750 to $1.5k!
BTW, both the standard and B&O system sound like hot garbage (Broncos have very, very little sound deadening and the road noise drowns out the audio)! The standard system (as many have mentioned) is the worst sounding audio system that i have heard in a vehicle! The B&O system is an absolute disappointment considering what it costs to get it! Upgrading the audio is almost mandatory!
I sure hope it’s better than the Jeep’s alpine system! That was the biggest waist of $2000 I ever spent , complete trash , I scrapped everything in my Sahara for aftermarket. I’d be ashamed to put the alpine name on it
The Sony system Ford previously used sounded FAR better than this B&O junk. Sorry, but Ford really screwed up. I’m a Ford fan, and currently drive a 2017 Mustang with a Sony system that sounds very good, and a 2020 Lincoln with the excellent, Revel system. But I could not buy a Ford with this B&O system because it is weak and the sound quality is horrible. I’m a Ford stock holder too, so this is a huge concern for me.
