Hell yeah. This is what I'm on about. The thing I like the most about this card is that it is both Low Profile & Single Slot. Can't say I've seen any 1650's cover both.

There is actually a chinese brand called yeston which made a single slot gtx 1650 but it's very limited in production and very hard to get one if you are outside of china.

It’s the problem. There are gpu cards that would outperform the 6400 pretty easy, like the 1660 series, but the are all full size and/or Dual slot, so not apliccable in an Ultra small form factor case. Really the card is a low end 1080p at best, and should really only be a 100-120 $ card. But as is, Its really the only low profile card that can put out a decent entry lvl gaming performance, even it is slightly overpriced. Its a good little system for not too demanding titles. Hell, I still have some weired issues with a 3800X and a 1660s in Elden Ring. I have no problem getting 60fps in 1080p but some weired horizontal banding is happening while playing. It’s both a cool game in some ways, but really shows Its made for consoles and some people have really many issues running it on a good pc gaming rig.

    What a killer combo.
Love this build. I have been looking at single slot ITX chassis for ages thinking how cool it would be to put a GPU in there.
Obviously ETA is right these slots are mostly meant for extending ports from the motherboard, but if it can fit a GPU you know someone is crazy enough to try it. And this came out PERFECTLY.

    • @greenprotag
      @greenprotag 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@tilapiadave3234 That's a pretty pessimistic view.
There are some programs/applications that run very well with a little more CPU power. For example, emulating modern consoles at 1080p works VERY well with a modern 6 core processor, but doesn't need a massively overpowered GPU. So the build is perfect for light 1080p PC games and a console emulation rig.

Hey, I know it's a long shot, but there's two games I'd love you to add to your test roster that can tell a lot about the different units you test out:
1- For Honor. It's not the most efficient game, but if a PC can handle For Honor at 60fps(being a type of fighting game, FPS is extremely important), then most games were framerate isn't as important will likely run very well
2- Halo Reach MCC. Being the most demanding "last gen" Halo game on the Master Chief Collection, it's still fairly easy to run on most rigs and would be a fantastic game to test on weaker builds that you normally would relegate to emulation machines
    love the content, either way!

Was wondering if you have a way to get a rtx a2000 to see if it performs better than something like the gtx1650 or the rx6400 based on the price difference. there have been a few videos about it, but they aren't really comparing the a2000 to anything comparable, form factor wise. Thanks again for the videos. Hope you will be making a few more on the rx6400 or at least on low profile gpus.

Based on some videos, the RTX A2000 performs just within the middle of RTX 3050 and RTX 3060.

I am planning to do this, I need a productive build since I get too distracted at my pc. Was considering a 5700g for intergrated graphics but I can upgrade my board and put the 3600 here instead of the 5600x and upgrade my gaming rig cpu

Really nice. I was thinking of doing something like this. Did you end up choosing the SR01 over the A02 (in your other low profile gpu build) bc you ended up ditching the flex for the pico psu?

With this setup it's easily on par with rx470
    Almost perfect for 1080p gaming
Considering the gpu eats 30-50w and cpu only goes to 40-60w while under load
    That's almost a rx470 alone

Ever considered trying linux with citra? Runs better than it does on windows as it would take better use of the hardware

Impressive! Really captured my attention. Can you try it with Linux installed?

Hello ETA, I wondes if you could test these kind of builds(RX 6000 + Ryzen 5000+) with SAM enabled, I'm sure it can give a nice boost to performance here!

    Thank you for your work!
How are the temperatures over an hour gamings under almost full load? Do you think there would be in overheat issue in long hours gaming?
