Only at 6 minutes and already inspired to comment and say you're awesome Kevin! Just got a new laptop with Windows 11 and loving the experience even more with your tips. Keep creating more awesome content and thank you!
@Ananya Gurnani To do keyboard shortcuts, you hold down the keys in order. So in this case, win+a means you hold "win" (the windows logo keys) and then while holding "win", press and release the "a" key on your keyboard. Once you press the "a" key, you can stop holding the "win" key. Hope this helps.
You probably don't read your comments but I have to say I have used a number of your videos to quickly understand multiple programs. Yours is a channel I trust to provide me with an in-depth description and conversation about the latest tech. Thanks man.
I downloaded a lot of your video tutorials because they are very helpful, useful and effective. Now am using them and I regretted why I have known your channel so late. You're a saviour and a gift. Thank you so much!
Thanks Kevin! I really enjoyed your explanations. One of my favorite features of Windows 11 is that you can connect your smartphone with your laptop. When you press the windows key and type in smartphone, it will appear. If you're in the same Wifi Network, you can connect and see messages, photos and notifications! Awesome 😍😍😍
I have word files identified by numbers: 410, 515-525, 600, etc. Every day I look at these files and the numbers should be separated by commas; instead, the commas are often replaced with ^j ^j, etc. I keep changing that back to commas, but the program stubbornly puts in ^j, ^j...! How do I stop that?
I can truly relate to the “miserable experience” assisting family members with computer problems over the phone. Thank you for the interesting content 👍😎🇦🇺
This video is truly informative. Your videos are really comprehensive so that we don't need to search for various small things ridiculously on the web. Keep up the good work!
The windows + v mechanic was something I always wanted but thought, there is no way this is going to be a thing anytime soon but here it is. I'm so happy.
Today l am upgrading my laptop to windows 11... I am so glad about it... love your channel uncle kevin... l am from Sri Lanka🇱🇰... Please put more videos about windows 11❤
Actually all these features are also available in Windows 10 21H1 too but I got much new things to learn in this video, which for sure I will be using from now on on my Windows 10 21H1.
A few are new or improved (short cut keys like Win+A,Win+N,Win+Z,Win+W, dictation with auto punctuation, mouse cursor gets picked up by screen recorders, re-designed emoji picker) and many have existed on previous versions. The common thread is that they're all somewhat hidden and less well known. Cheers!
@@KevinStratvert ohhh, now I didn’t know it could connect to that. I’ll have to check that out, thanks! I use it all the time at work to copy/paste images when I need only a portion of something or to not use as much memory as a JPG.

I love the context -menu every time I do a right click, specially when Copying / Moving / Pasting / Renaming file. Very handy. I also love the dark themes for the whole Windows GUI. It is relaxing to my eyes.
Steps freaking recorder!!!!!! What the fuggggg!!!! Why has no one made a big deal of this before!!!! Now officially subscriber for life 🥳🥳🥳 You the man 💪💪💪 Thanks for pointing this out wow!
Kevin, Here's a problem I have. I really enjoyed your explanations of the new Windows 11 features but there's one feature from older Windows versions that I can't find and miss a lot. In W10 it was possible to drag and drop a file into another program or app even if it was not visible on the screen. Simply hover the file over the taskbar symbol for the target app and it would open to the surface. Is there a way to do this in W11 or an add on that will accomplish it?
@@DineshKumar-wl2hv Here is what I now do: Using the mouse hover over the maximize feature in the upper right hand corner of the source window. You will be given a number of choices for screen sharing; choose one and then choose the target window for the other. The source and target windows will then both be accessible. Not as good but better than nothing.

2:01 Yeah that already existed before Windows 11 and was made to help Task Manager Boot Up without help from the system and helping Task Manager unfreeze if already running and if it's frozen.

hitting K will pause a YT video. Hitting a left or right arrow fast forwards or rewinds 5 seconds, and hitting J or L will rewind or fast-forward 10 seconds. There is also a transcript available if you hit the ellipses and click "show transcript". Hope that helps

W11 content suggestion . . . I have an AIO computer in my kitchen. It´s sitting on the wall and we use it mostly to browse recepies and whatch chefs' videos and follow the cooking process. It worked like a giant tablet (W10 had a "tablet" mode.) With W10 it worked great. Now, I installed W11 and lost that tablet feeling. One key feature is lost, before, with W10, I used to get the onscreen keyboard automatically (same as a smartphone) to enter text. Anyway, it would be great to hear from you on the changes or behavior/features of W11+tablets. Good job Kev
