It is the worse way to learn something new because you won't know that it is teaching you something incorrect. That was good to show, since these limitations continue to affect AIs everywhere. The confidence they can display in giving incorrect information is very misleading. AI companies should do more to ensure AIs are warning consumers when their info could be incorrect.

True, but human tutors (like me) make mistakes, too. The issue is not when AI gets good enough to never make mistakes (which will never happen) but rather when it is good enough that it makes fewer mistakes than humans do. That's where tech like this is headed.

LOL how do presume we would be able to afford anything when we don't have jobs? UBI is still just a distant fantasy. And AI agents are already out. They can be rented for a fraction of the cost of a human. OpenAI is renting out pHd-level bots for $2,000 a month. No pHd could work for that little money. This will create a reliance on faulty AI information as the incentive for humans to earn their pHd and perpetuate human knowledge dwindles.

I used this tech with Resolve also, and like you with the Excel pivot table, I was correcting the AI's mistakes, such as directing me to the wrong menu for a function, or the wrong location in the Resolve interface to find a control or menu. I was training the AI more than it was training me. It actually thanked me. Not kidding. (BTW, you did not correct the AI when it correctly told you to find the Inspector in the upper right part of the screen, but it then indicated that you would find it there and next to the Media Pool tab. The Media Pool tab is in the upper left-hand area of the Resolve interface.)

As a technology professor, I believe this is helpful as it gives every student something we have never had before and that is their own personal tutor knowledgeable in a niche area. It has been too high of a cost to provide that level of support. It feels like the core skillset one will need will be to quickly analyze and understand a problem. Then using AI, form a creative solution with the human in the loop via prompting or "talking" to shape that solution. Developing that problem solving skill is where we have been challenged for a very long time.
