I wish that a new desktop meant that files could be placed there and they not show up on the other desktops. So, what I mean is, a "Work desktop" could have icons that are only seen there and not on the other desktops.
For me, I do have a lot of icons on my desktop, and it would help in organizing them. Also, when I am using my CPU for leisure I wouldn't have to look at work icons and be reminded of work activities. Lol!
Always great and infirmities videos Kevin.

    1. Dictation - It's a gimmick at best which will be used just a couple of times after a fresh install and then forgotten. It's also not very useful for languages other than English.
    2. Multiple desktops - This feature is present in Windows 10 as well. You can also rename desktops in Windows 10. The only difference is the ability to choose different wallpapers for different desktops.
    3. Window snapping - Most monitors are shipping with this software and it has been available in Windows 10 (PowerToys) for years.
    4. Widgets - Good idea on paper, but widgets on operating systems died 10 years ago for a reason. It's a terrible user experience which promotes clutter and bundling of unrelated information.
    5. Secret start menu - It's not a secret at all, it's a standard right-click menu of a start icon. It's also present in Windows 10.
So, what exactly is awesome here?

Nice Video Bro. I have just upgraded to Windows 11. More and more Android and Apple Apps will become available for Windows 11. So why would You stick with Windows 10? Security is better. All my Windows 10 Applications work just fine in Windows 11. So far, I love it. Snapping is indeed very helpfull. Ok, I know, You can not change the position of the taskbar, like in Windows 10. There's a work around to make this happen, but not recommended by Microsoft.

QUESTION: first, I like the desktops and snapping customization. Once you place your desktops, applications in their snaps locations as we like them.... Q: HOW can you SAVE those applications, desktop settings and configuration so you can startup this way.. Seems every morning I will have to open apps and put them into all their individual places. I would love to see Windows Desktops provide configuration control to build desktops for productivity based on different projects and save them to startup.. If that is possible, I don't know how yet. Q: How can you save the desktop configuration setup preferences.

  • @marianwhit

Great videos, but some of us need more simplicity and less distractions to function well. I am quietly going insane as I spend more time trying to keep up with changes than I do actually getting anything done that "I" (with a capital "I") want to get done. There need to be flavors of windows, or profiles, such as to help attention deficit, dyslexic, older, or other types of learners. As I get older, I am acutely aware of how much time even adding extra clicks is to get something done. Programs are now growing to either suit their own business model or demands of the young for "constant new and different". In a context where the software no longer serves me, but aims to deliver ads in moving pictures, I am, quite literally going slowly insane, feeling irrelevant, and unable to be creative, only reactive. I wish SOMEONE would address this issue.

Instead of doing WINDOWS KEY-CTRL-LEFT ARROW or
    WINDOWS KEY-CTRL-RIGHT ARROW
    how about WINDOWS KEY-CTRL-1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7
to jump to your desired virtual desktop that you have open?
In addition we would do WINDOWS KEY-CTRL-F (FOR THE 1ST VIRTUAL WINDOW) and do WINDOWS KEY-CTRL-L (FOR THE LAST VIRTUAL WINDOWS).
All this to jump around quicker.

No it's not officially out. Everything we're seeing right now it's preview builds of the OS. The official release date is fall 2021.
