This model doesn't get alot of fan fair , but it's got pedigree minus the magnesium . Nice video of a saw working in the fatter part of a power band instead of only the higher r's .👍
I'm not really into farm and ranch saws, but nothing wrong with them. This one was super clean and cut great. I had this saw for a couple of days and passed it on to a friend of mine. He's quite happy with it. I appreciate the comment, and thanks for watching!
@@woodcutter4481 yea for 64cc it's slow. They just don't get much for rpms. My old 61 husky is faster at 61cc. But yes good for some people that don't care about getting it done quick!
@@BradleyAdams-nj5hc LOL yeah ok it's nothing compared to my 361 or 036! I was a faller here in PNW for 40 years and saw mechanic for as long! I've got 15 chainsaws all run perfectly! Sorry dude they are a turd!
Just a clean saw I flipped. Although there's nothing wrong with the Farm and Ranch saw's, I'm just not a fan. Definitely into the pro saws. I have 2 361's to build but have only run the 362. Mainly into the 70- 92cc class saw's. I appreciate the comment, and thanks for watching.
I bought a new MS391 2 1/2 yrs ago. The dealer couldn’t get it to start, but I trusted they flooded it. Very temperamental saws I was told. Took it home thinking that I made a great purchase! I never got it to run more than 5 minutes at a time. Pulled my guts out pulling on that damn rope! Finally took it to the dealer to fix and they gave it back to me with the suggestion to junk it. Seems it was over the warranty by a couple of months. Would cost more to put a new motor on it than it was worth. They charged me $250.00 to tell me that. I was upset that they wouldn’t stand behind the saw! Took it home, tore it apart, found that the top ring was stuck and both skirts were lying under the crank. Bought a new piston kit for $45.00, put it together in an hour and started it up on the second pull. I will never buy another product from Stihl nor their 2 cycle oil which is garbage! What a POS company and what a POS saw! I’ve had a Poulan for over 30 years and it still runs like a champ! Stihl should take notes on how to make a quality product! They have fallen a long ways in my eyes and for many loggers too! It just doesn’t have the power that was promised to run a 25” blade! The company should recall the 391 and fix the many mistakes that they engineered into that POS!!!!!!!!!
Hi Greg, IMO the dealer should never have let you leave with that saw. I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I appreciate your comment and thank's for watching!
nice set up you got for your wood stacks nicely done.
Thank you Aaron. I cut wood about 22" long.
@@woodcutter4481 that is about same for me as well

Aftermarket only recently caught up with cylinder/piston kits, but they run about $200 - pricey compared to 039.

Heavy slow boat ⚓! I had one for a couple months and quickly sold it!

That was a very clean saw. I never ran a 271. Maybe I'll run across one someday. I appreciate the comment, and thanks for watching!
