Welcome to the ULTIMATE guide to proving your marriage is real to USCIS! This video explains the difference between primary and secondary evidence, and which types of each you should collect. Some of the primary evidence I cover includes joint tax filings using an ITIN, shared financial accounts, joint insurances, and proof of cohabitation through lease agreements or property deeds. I also explain different type of secondary evidence that can support your case, such as photographs depicting your relationship over time, social media posts, and various types of correspondence between you and your spouse. If you're living apart from your spouse and are unable to get ahold of certain types of evidence, I share how to effectively document your ongoing relationship so USCIS will believe your marriage is bonafide!

Hi Moumita, I have my interview on June 20, 2024. Dublin US embassy sent email today asking for more recent documents such as IRS and W2. My joint sponsor is my brother in law, his 2022 income was acceptable for the poverty guidelines of household of 3 including me. But his 2023 is less and now we are worried it may be a cause for denial. Would there be other options? Do I need to get another joint sponsor? My husband and I don’t know anyone who has less household members and that would have enough income to include me. My husband and I have enough savings, but he lives here in Ireland with me, can I use our savings as well? Im desperate. 😢

I think this video is more geared towards a couple who are both residing in the US already on some other visa. For a non-US resident, these things wouldn’t apply. Other proofs can be collected of your relationship

    2) for joint bills, do i need to submit at least 3 months latest bills?
    3) affidavit of support, can it be from a family member?
    4) hotel reservations, we make reservations for either his name or my name. can we still use this?
    5) for miscellaneous, is it possible to add our IVF journey?

I think you need to request an ITIN number with IRS to add your significant other as your dependent.. not sure if they still accept that though. Or if the person needs to be living here in order to do that.

Hi to everyone. Why receipt notice is coming late nowadays?
    Marriage based green card
    April 9th 2024: papers sent
    April 13th delivered by USPS
April 22nd return mail receipt got with stamp that paper were receipt at April 16th
Today is more that 2 weeks after USCIS received papers. Even checks as of today were not get cashed
I thought nowadays after April 2024 fees increased and cases should be fast starting from receiving receipt notice, biometrics up to combo cards and interview
    Thanks
