influencers who regain weight and then are able to get that back off again are more believable and relatable than cookie cutter people who lose weight by eating and drinking whatever they are selling. I had weight loss surgery and regained 90lbs and have been able to get that back off this past year with just hard work and commitment. There’s ups and downs in everyone’s journey and something can be learned in every step of the process 💜
I appreciate this conversation! I’ve been following John since 2016 and Danny since 2017 I think. Glad they introduced me to your channel as well, I’ve listened to several of your podcasts now! Thank you for your work!
It's not even funny, some influencers have never had to battle weight issues, but they feed people this story or picture that hard work and calorie counting is all it takes... no man, you have fantastic genetics and doing workouts and eating normal allows you to tone up what you already have... unfortunately most of us have to unlearn life long habits, have to sort through deep mental struggles and beliefs, and have to give it all, and will likely never reach their level of peak condition. Which is why I share everything I can about my journey, the ups the downs, the mental aspects, the physical ones and hope to connect to people on a real relatable level, much like yourself Tony. Thanks for doing what you do. Helps me know I'm not doing what I do for nothing.
Oh I can relate so much to your thing about binge eating and snacking instead. I just had this conversation with myself! I had to really put it in my head that I was still over eating even tho I wasn’t binging and it was still affecting my weight loss and my mental health!
Btw I know you joke about the size of your platform here and with Danny but those 2 aside, I’m thoroughly impressed. A1 camera quality, audio conversation etc. quality over quantity. There are bigger platforms that are less captivating. New sub
It's not even funny.....Fitness Influencers pretend they have the time and expertise to customize meal/workout plans, but in reality sell their followers expensive copy/paste plans. 😒
#itsnotevenfunny I think you touched on it. My newsfeed is full offl full-time influencer or MLM people. They have their perfect routines. But I want see them make it work in my day. When I could work anywhere from 8 to 12 hours, plus 2 kids in varsity and club sports, getting my masters Degree and a husband just as busy. It's 9pm and I am finishing my workout to get 8 hours sleep I should have gone to bed 39 mins ago. I am totally going on a tangent without making a point. But it's not even funny that they show these results and lifestyle that really are not achievable to the majority of us. This why so often we have results but then gain it back bc we can not maintain that commitment to that lifestyle a d the demands of it..its hard to get all the workouts in, it takes time to meal prep, you have to probably go to bed without doing the dishes to get 8hrs of sleep but at some point the dishes need to be done. And these guys in the fitness industry have no idea how much laundry and dishes two active teenagers make in a day. This comment has totally became the rant of a overtired, over caffeine, over worked crazy 42year old woman.
If I was in an "influencer's situation" where I lost a lot of weight, and then gained it all back again...I would stop posting videos. Simple as that. And if by chance I wanted to re-lose the weight, I would either re-launch my YT channel or make another YT channel. Pretty simple to not get hate/toxic folks, because gaining all your weight back. Then again, I'm not in their shoes, but I do know how YT works.
It’s not even funny how in 2017 I was out here buying “booty creams” bc influencers promised it would take away my cellulite🤦🏼♀️ all it did was take away my money
Hi Tony!!! It Not even funny, influencers seem to be carbon copies of each other. They seem to always have exotic locations perfect bodies. We need more real people who naturally beautiful with real advice. Peace out from Clive in Wales.
It’s not even funny how influencers want to pray on people wanting to change their lives. Why do they have to take advantage of people that are typically super vulnerable.
It’s not even funny. Some fitness influencers think everyone has the same 24 hours that they have. Parents already only have a few hours to themselves. You think I wanna spend all of that in the gym? Get outa heeerrreeee
John is a great dude. I'm lucky enough to go to the same gym and see him on a pretty regular basis. Keep up the great work Tony. It's not even funny.
John is the best person ever!!!! 🥰
Finding balance is key for so many aspects of our lives.
Thanks for having these open discussions Tony. 😍

The 29 minute mark ish, yes. I needed this. Celebrate the wins even if you've already celebrated them before.

Great video. New sub
"and THIS IS WHAT WE DO" is such a better familia phrase it's not even funny! 😆
