Not ironically, he protected his two children when he did this.
Darth Vader keeping Luke alive proved that Anakin Skywalker wasn’t really gone.
There's just no winning with Darth Vader. No wonder the Imperial military was so incompetent. Any important assignment means serving under Darth Vader. Any officer with any brains would know better than to be anywhere near him. Anyone left would have more ambition than sense.
Vader: “To efficient you are, dead you must be”
So if Ozzell was competent and didn't screw up the hyperspace and they crushed the alliance, he'd still probably be killed for being so good at his job.
Vader sounded like he was looking for a reason to kill him so absolutely. Ozzell was done no matter what lol
never usurp the master
Wow. First time something that was added less than a minute ago is on my recommended
agreed
Officer: I was this close to killing Skywalker!
Vader: YOU WAT!?!?
Kanchar: I will spend every living moment to try and eradicate the Skywalkers.
Vader: ... you dun goofed.
Grand Inquisitor: "Lord Vader we found another pesky Jedi"
Vader: "Do as you please"
Grand Inquisitor: "Finally we will get rid of that elusive Luke Skywalker"
Vader: "Did you say Skywalker?"
Grand Inquisitor: "Yes. Why?"
Vader: *reenacts the youngling scene with the inquisitors*
So vader rightfully kills you if you make too many mistakes but he also kills you if you are too good on your duties....
Double standards at best....
You'd think after a while there would be a mutiny against these commanders who kill their own troops and officers so happily. Like not doing it against Vader I get, dudes a space wizard as far as the average trooper knows, but like against regular ass commanders I'd think they would get tired off being executed so regularly.
Take a look at a real life example of an officer who frequently killed his own men, often for the slightest of reasons -- German Field Marshal Ferdinand Schorner. He had thousands of his own men court martialed and executed, right up to the very end of the Second World War in Europe.
Vader: it’s not what you did sir that angers me so it’s who you did it to.
Who that fu**ing farmboy
Vader: That fu**ing farmboy is my son
I have great respect for the Baba Yaga, this reference was...enlightening
thx for not being clickbait
Kanchar looks like they were trying to make a Star wars Klingon
i'm gonna say it. without anakin the galaxy was doomed.
Hold on a fuckin’ second - can we backtrack to the part where Luke and Leia planned to make an entire planet uninhabitable? The FUCK?
How do they ensure everybody gets off in time? Where do they go afterwards? Do they plan to make all it’s citizens homeless and stranded in the middle of space next to their now broken home world?
This is some Death Star level shenanigans right here.
Double standards
Man canon and legends do have the most interesting stories
Yeah no.
Anything that Disney made after acquiring this isn’t canon.
@@TetsuShima i've read stuff from legends and i have to disagree
@@TetsuShima I do know what is legends but this video is about canon
kinda have to agree with david here some canon stories are downright even better then legends materials take the vader comics as a example or age of republic and empire
Underneath all of the cruelty and malice, is a remorseful father.
I miss Luke. The real Luke, not the castrated farce of a man the hormonally imbalanced man-haters at Dickney tried to shuff off on us.
Please keep your incel toxicity out of this? I disagree with plenty of what Disney did with Star Wars, and I'm not the biggest fan of the sequel trilogy myself either. But Luke was hardly feminine. Consider watching a bit less reactionary bullshit, and start actually thinking for yourself?
Damn, what a retarded post this is.
@@TheLostArchangel666 bundle of sticks
...you need help.
what
1 It would be stupid to have a big window on a spaceship, and 2 it would be horrendously stupid to crack this window.
Jeez...its like you can't do anything to please Vader. Even when you are nearly successful in ANYTHING you get strangeled.
I wonder if some readers were confused about the dialogue where the officer mentions Leia by name and then gets forced chocked because at that point Vader wouldn't know Leia was also his lol
Come through early squad!
All jokes aside I truly do love the channel always has the best and most interesting videos! Thanks for keeping me entertained! Lots of love from North Carolina!
I saw the outline of the guy in the thumbnail and I was like “ayy it’s this dude again
Keep up the good work.
Vader is a fool. A leader would aim this competent minion at another target. Tell him he's done enough. Give him an equal position in another part of the Galaxy. Send him to the unknown regions. This man is a loyal, ferocious dog. Far too valuable to be terminated due to misguided passion. A true Sith should appreciate and nurture passion, not shy away from it when ones own is reflected in ones minions.
To be fair, Darth Vader was just keeping Lucas Skywalker alive.
Kanchar: yeah so I almost killed Luke, Leia and their friends, I’ll try again some time in the future
Vader: I beg ya damn pardon?
The "nor should you" line is so fucking cool
