Story Summary :-
OP (33, F) has always had a tumultuous relationship with her older sister Victoria (35, F), who has been spoiled and pampered her entire life, while OP has had to work hard and be responsible. Victoria has already divorced twice, broken off two engagements, and has four kids, three from a marriage and one from an affair. Now Victoria claims to have found the love of her life-something she has claimed many times-in Bean (25, M), a man who is just as crass and selfish as she is.
OP’s Mom (65, F) and Dad (65, M) have always spoiled Victoria, often putting themselves at great financial risk in order to appease Victoria. This time they have done the unthinkable and sold their house to fund Victoria and Bean’s fancy wedding, thinking that OP would pick up the slack. Now they are asking OP to adopt Victoria’s four children because Bean refuses to take care of them, and Mom and Dad have ruined their finances funding the wedding. OP snaps and tells the family to enjoy their karma because she isn’t helping them at all.
In update one, OP calls CPS on Victoria and Bean because she knows the four kids are being neglected. In update two, OP finds her car tires slashed and her yard vandalized. Bean is caught on her camera system doing the damage. She reports him to the police.
In update three, OP catches Victoria kissing another man at Burger King. She takes a photo and sends the evidence to Bean. In update four, Bean brutally beats Victoria and hospitalizes her in a fit of rage. Mom and Dad blame OP for revealing the cheating, and they try to sue OP for Victoria’s medical bills. In update five, OP decides to get a restraining order against her family and moves away to start a new life from their baggage.

This was SO crazy. Op is right that it went against all common sense. Who values a wedding over a house? Who values someone's feelings over a child's safety? Who blames someone for someone else's actions that were beyond their control? Not to mention, OP's parents expected her to pay them back for what they did for VICTORIA, not her. And I think OP is right that they won't realize they've gone too far until it's too late. I'm surprised they even have any money at this point considering how much they spent.
Had OP's parents had 10 cents worth of common sense, all of this would've been avoided. A simple "no" could've stopped this.
Apparently you CAN just make this stuff up, because this is the most preposterous story yet. You should at least try to make them somewhat believable.

1) I read my comment, and I never said that there was no chance this story was fake.
2) Just because a story has people who defy all common sense does NOT mean it's fake. If that were the case, Florida wouldn't be infamous for people who do crazy things, and events even crazier than those in this story have been proven to have actually happened.
The fact is that with most Reddit stories, there's no way to definitively prove whether or not the story is true or not by solely going off the actions of the people involved.

Parents who favour one child over the others to the point of exclusion or abuse, then are betrayed and burned by their prince or princess, deserve everything. I've seen it up close and it's brutal. You feel sorry for the parent/s for a moment before kicking yourself in your own arse to remind yourself who the real victims have always been. Calling it quits and going permanently no contact is the safest best course of action to take to preserve your own mental health. There is absolutely no room for sympathy. None of us need that brand of turmoil in our lives. Get out before it's too late.

The fact they still blamed op for the parasite's consequences, believed that she could explain what she was doing despite the videos and pictures telling it all then demand op to pay the medical bills like she owes them and the audacity to say that they will sue op til she hands them the money🤦. All that tells how far down the rabbit hole they are and it's too far for them to ever see the light. They don't even have a leg to stand on to try to sue op let alone blame op for the parasite's consequences. Glad op cut them off and no they proven that their too far down the hole to see the light.

She likely can't afford to do so. Fast food is infamous for paying peanuts, and OP stresses multiple times that money is tight for her, which is likely why she has TWO jobs and not just one. She paid for the Outback Steakhouse dinner, yes, but she probably doesn't have as much in savings as the average person and likely wouldn't be able to afford doing whatever she wants.

Afterwards: The parents once again called the OP from a different phone and begged for money and this time they were desparate and pleading. They tried to apologize for everything but then she told them off and even reminded them of the restraining order and even insulted them about their ridiculous lawsuit and then they were like, they were desparate and needed money and tried to find excuses and then she threaten to report to the police if they ever call again. She even dared them by saying "Try Me". She eventually told them "Good luck taking care of that scarred spoiled b----". The parents gave up eventually knowing that they will end up in jail and eventually sold every they had to pay the portion of the medical bills and eventually moved into a rundown house in the countryside and worked part time jobs to pay for the medical bill. The sister refuses to work and just lives her hedonistic life and spending her parents money like crazy.
Jesus..........I can't help but feel sorry for OP. Her so called family is an absolute dumpster fire, especially her narcissistic golden child sister! No wonder she wants nothing to do with them. My mom lived with a guy who had a kid and she had 2. The guy asked her to go live with him but leave me with my grandma (grandad had just passed away). Of course she refused.

Money spent on the first wedding is ok, but after that, any weddings get paid for by the happy couple. They can work towards a financial future together and if they can't manage that then they can't survive marriage.
I really don't care if this story is real or not, it was very entertaining. Funny thing to me was that I have a niece who has been married four times (or maybe it's five times, I lost count), and the first one did go to jail for drugs, the second one cheated on her, the third one turned out to be a drunk womanizer. She has 5 children. However, unlike OP's sister, my niece is the hardest working person I know. Has gotten three degrees and is now working for the military on special medical cases. It's so hard to imagine that some parents are so besotted with a golden child that they would sell their house for them, for a third wedding no less, an event and then have the delusion to blame the other sibling for ruining her life! That's what happens to innocent bystanders I guess in a family like that. Yes, no contact, move to another state, change your name if you have to. If this story is true, these people are insane and not connected to reality. Oh wow, that's the first time I've seen an entitled child put somebody's parents in the poor house just to fund their wedding.
It's safe to say that Op should have stopped at wedding number two to cut themselves off because the entitled don't care if they want to destroy the lives of those they manipulate.
I also noticed how Victoria and Beans wanted to turn Op into a foster parent despite her hardships.
While I do agree with karma coming back on a person I didn't like the fact that how Beans beat up Victoria for her cheating he could have just easily filed for divorce and damages against her and walked away with money since her parents still had enough to post bail for his vandalism.
