Story Summary :-
OP and her siblings contribute money monthly to take care of their ill brother and unemployed sister-in-law, along with the children, after understanding their situation. OP's SIL doesn't acknowledge everything that's being done for her, and she complains and acts ungrateful all the time. OP and her siblings try to make her understand that they're doing their best, but their efforts are futile. OP eventually talks to her brother about it, but he does nothing about it.
Eventually, OP and her siblings decide to cut her brother and SIL off, not caring for their ingratitude and rude behavior anymore. OP's SIL rants and raves but has to accept the situation. Now, OP’s brother and SIL are unemployed and struggling financially.

This "CYNTHIA" is the most ungrateful, hateful, disrespectful excuse for a human being. I'm sorry, this really riles me up. HOW can you treat your family so badly, after they are working their ASSES off to help your family??? I am sorry, but this story makes me wonder if it's made up. I would have cancelled my financial support of my brother and his family before the restraining order but most definitely after and most definitely wouldn't keep paying for my niblings private school whete they had the nerve to bully my child.

The restraining order means they don't want anything from them. I wouldn't give them a dime the SIL needs to get a job. Her brother needs a wake up call, they living off other peoples charity.
I'd work out what the nieces monthly school fees were and then give my daughter that as an allowance , then make sure they found out

If the brother has issued a restraining order against OP, then OP should immediately stop payment to her brother. OP should cut all contact with her brother and Cynthia. Slapping Cynthia was also a mistake no matter how deserved that slap was.

Op and her family are really good people that tried to help her brother and entitled sister-in-law and weren't appreciated but expected more and treated Op like dirt. In the end SIL got what she deserved.
OP did do some things wrong, but cutting Cynthia and her brother off financially wasn't one of them. OP was, firstly, wrong for getting physical with Cynthia. Granted, her anger was justified, but nothing worth going to prison for. Secondly, OP should've sued Cynthia for both hiring the thugs and for defamation. While Cynthia's daughters would've struggled, it's clear that Cynthia is NOT a suitable mother, and her kids are better off in foster care.
This story is why you should never bite the hand that feeds you. Legally speaking, OP didn't have to give Cynthia a single penny. She only did so because she cared. However, if you hurt someone who cares, then, well... They'll no longer care. After all, why help someone who wants to hurt you? That doesn't make any sense.
While OP's brother was sick, he knew FULL WELL about his fragile state, and that OP's family was paying for his treatment, and YET, he decided to join Cynthia is hurting the same people who were helping him put food on the table. That's just short of asking someone to cut you off. OP's brother's sickness is no excuse for his actions. He should've known better.
I hope Cynthia learns that greed, her ego and hate will get her nowhere in life. Only kindness, appreciation and hard work will.

If someone gave me $2,000 a month I would be eternaly grateful. I would do anything in my power to do to repay their kindness. I wouldn't even think about complaining.

you know I don't normally like the term doormat, but in this case I reluctantly have to agree, even at the end when she was feeling bad for her nieces leaving the school, or the fact that her brother was allowed over her threshold after everything. I was in a similar position. My husband got really sick. I did what I had to do. I cut our budget to the bare bone. I worked more hours. My family helped with child care, but I did not take a single dime from them.

The fact that at the end of videos like these that there are people commenting about how it is wrong to cut out someone even when that "someone" did bad things with no remorse makes me thinks that those people who are commenting are bad people themselves.

The minute a bogus restraining order was issued, I would've stopped providing financially. Falsely accusing someone of things isn't right. I would send a certified letter through a lawyer advising that all assistance would cease and diplomatically say screw you!

I personally felt that she did everything that she could. Also, going above and beyond further than what they deserved. Even when the sister-in-law put a restraining order against her, she still wanted to help. I personally don’t think they deserve anything else after everything that they’ve done especially when she tried to hire somebody to attack them. But, if she still feels guilt that she wants to help her brother, she can pay directly to the medical company any further payments. So, whereas the sister-in-law won’t get a dime.

Ok the brother got sick and couldn't work. That didn't mean that Cynthia couldn't work at least part time. But she was selfish and liked for her husband's siblings to give her family money. The brother's family are ingrates for what help they did get.
many families have similar stories..the wife gets a job at fast food, or a corner store...if the main beadworker is not able to work...private schools are out of reach....bad mouthing the family who is helping is unacceptable and is danger of stopping..no matter how much she cries.....

Better yet, I would STRONGLY suggest she seeks State Aid and get off my back! When OP said she was blssed to give this is true. People who are generous are given more by G_d to distribute among people. The caveat is that, if someone is rude or disrespectful to the vessel that gives, they are to suffer for being ungrateful and to whom who has nothing, more will be taken away. By sending money to her sister-in-law's account she would have been breaking the restraining order. Because that is contacting her.
According to Restraining Order Law, you can't Call them, Visit them, Mail them stuff or even Have Someone Mail them stuff on Your Behalf.
So, sending money to them for the their upkeep is breaking the restraining order. THAT'S what I would have told the sister-in-law.

People can be patient with family. It blows my mind. I would never put up with any of this. I cut off most of my family after they gave me up for adoption. They try to keep in touch but I just ignore it very short. I do not need drama in my life. Life is hard enough.

Another reason to never help anyone by giving money. I may feed them occasionally, like once every 6 months but that’s it. It doesn’t bother me whatsoever to turn down family. I’d be cooking cleaning and doing whatever type of manual labor I could do to show my appreciation. I’d be singing praise day and night.
