Well I would care. You really inspire me😁. If you were to I would make the hardware that it runs on. I want to be a tech entrepreneur when I grow older. It will focus on electronics ,robotics and self driving cars. And I’m thinking to name it Zapy or Astro or cosmo basically space themed
Came back after the phone 2 release a lot of this aged well They even added a custom element that could at least make icons greyscale to fit everything else so they done have to do constant updates to the skin to add a single app when a user downloads one that wasn’t thought of yet Also in regards to progress on the glyph interface for phone (2) they redesigned it with more sections and lightning zones allowing part of the large ring to become a progress bar albeit it only really works for timers and Uber
WOOW, super accurate and very very interesting, i am sure nothing will want your ideas, even more beautiful is the fact that you are Italian like me and you have done all this.
Grazie!
nice video, if these functions are ever implemented (which in my opinion make the most of the device hardware) it would really be a perfect phone! bel video, se mai verranno implementate queste funzioni (che a mio parere sfruttano al massimo l'hardware del dispositivo) sarebbe davvero un telefono perfetto!
Every other youtuber begs the audience to watch another video, you’re just like “dude if you want to go ahead, otherwise ciao…”. The lasseiz faire attitude is hilarious.
All of your ideas are really well thought out (the icon creation tool is pure genius) and brilliantly executed, but I disagree with the very reasoning for them. Contrary to what you claim at 0:54, apps are not ‘self-contained’ enough to have their own design languages. If we encourage developers to follow the lead of Twitter or Instagram with their distinctive styles (which, by the way, are only there to save costs on proper optimisation), we’ll turn apps into websites - something I don’t think anyone wants. With a device as visually unique as the Nothing Phone, we have to choose between the hardware-software consistency and that within the OS - and I think the latter is what we should aim at. Since system apps aren’t supposed to be any different from 3rd-party ones, I hope that, rather than multiplying their own design elements like you’re suggesting, Nothing abandons them completely and just sticks with stock Android.
I get what you mean, it would probably be better UX wise to have everything follow the same guidelines and aesthetic, but I don't think that's happening. Nothing specifically said they have plans to expand their style to other apps in the future, + as you said, many third party apps already don't conform to either Apple or Google's aesthetic guidelines, even if Nothing changed their mind and just started using 100% stock android apps, you'd still never have a fully consistent experience, not even Apple managed to get everyone to design apps that look just identical to the 1st party ones
@@AndreaCopellino I really don’t think some apps’ disregard to system guidelines is a good justification for others to disregard them too. Even a small amount of consistency is better than none at all. BTW, did you get the information about their plans from Nothing’s TH-cam videos? I’ve been planning on watching them for a few months now, and am still yet to. :D
Yes, those videos contain lots of stuff they still haven’t announced, we can’t say for sure how much of it will ever end up in real products but it’s still pretty interesting to see
You should join Nothing.. carl pei would love to hire you.. you can make wonders.. it's all about software experience than hardware that matters in the world now.. Nothing could be the first step to your bright successful career
Thanks, but we prefer Google apps. If nothing is making their own apps, most of the users will call it bloatware and nothing more than that. It's hard for nothing to create any ecosystem as of now. Google already has that and it's works great. So instead of replicating what Google already did like what Samsung is doing, Nothing have to concentrate on expanding on top of it. Also their dot style is pretty bad and I don't personal want all my icons to look that confusing.
Carl Pei retweeted this appreciating you!
Congratulations 🥳
You should make your own os
it would be nice but it would take an incredibly long time and I'm not sure many would even care

not an os maybe just an launcher or get hired by nothing
@@AndreaCopellino Carl pei tweeted your tweet 😏 just go make a upgrade at the origin
@@AndreaCopellino but should be like nothing is or oxygenos
Watching this and trying to see where you're going with it.. well done. Captured my inner designer and think you did great

This was very well thought out
Thanks!

love the idea of putting the analog clock in the background of the clock app

sì, ho dovuto improvvisare un po' per alcune cose
Incredible video man, big fan!
keep making more of these!
I will!

Personally u should make a custom modded launcher or custom stock apps for a custom ROM
You can use border to show toggled state as well
True, but I think a white dot suits the overall aesthetic better
You are a genius and really want to come to all your concepts in my phone 1
Awesome!! These are some things I would definitely want in my phone!
Mannn...
Your ideas are awesome 🔥🔥
i thought most of this was hideous but i loved the idea for the glyph at the end
The main reason I got a nothing phone is how its close to stock. I wouldn't have bought it if they made it far from stock
or just use ai to create the custom dot icons using your suggested parameters.

Everything is fine except the dots based icons.
well I wasn't expecting everyone to like everything
The fonts be looking alittle bit alike minecraft fonts
Someone please create THAT iconpack tool!
I’d do it myself if I was an Android dev
you should start making custom roms at least

C'mon man hire him for nothing for his revolutionary ideas. 🔥🔥
I hate the dotted icons and font (only looks nice on titles) , but nice video nonetheless.
What is the software that you used to make them?
Figma
