Um, Shatner was the one who acted in classics. V was not a disaster, although some people get some fun writing that. I've seen several good reviews at its opening. It has also picked up positive critical reaction over the years, since it's about the manic following of one man's ambition. But of course, that couldn't happen in real life.
Why? I spent days looking for a picture of George Takei as a taxi cab driver or Nichelle Nicholes as a radio host or Checov playing chess or Mcoy at a posh dinner drinking alcohol. I tried but couldn't find it. I was stuck! Then realized I could use ai.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I hope you keep watching and commenting! 🙂
The Playmates TNG action figures were released in the Fall of 1992. The Klingon Warrior Worf action figure wasn't released until 1993. Perhaps they used small toy scaled Klingon figures in the trail scene but it was not the Worf action figure you showed.
Yes, that was likely the case. You sure know your Star Trek toys.
@@TotallyAwesomeFilmsPodcast I was obsessed with those toys! The first line in 87 were very lackluster so use 12 yr old nerds were obsessed! LOL Loving your channel! These videos are clearly painstaking with a lot of love put into them. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'll keep making them and putting in the work as long as amazing people like yourself continue to watch and show their appreciation. Again, Thank you so much!
From what i've read over the years, Gene Roddenberry objected to a lot of of things.. unless he wrote them
You are so right! Unfortunately, I've been reading the same thing. He loved "rewriting" people's work and then charging a rewriting fee and then putting his name on the credits. Roddenberry was such a great man but he was also very... complicated.
Whats with that tombstone???
That my friend, is what you call a total f-up. Sometimes mistakes just happen. Yikes.
in Reality, the Excelesior would have been destroyed by the wave ring explosion dispite its sheilds.
Really? How do we know that? 🙂
I have never owned a copy of Star Trek 5. I just skip from 4 to 6, pretending that 6 is part 5. I see no reason whatsoever to have a copy of part 5 or even to consider it canon. The story actually flows nicely from 4 to 6 without having part 5 messing things up.
True. 6 fits in perfectly right after 4. Personally, I always include Star Trek 5 in my rewatch. I have a soft spot in my heart for it.
Now I really wish they were called Klinguns. Missed opportunity.
Haha! My stupid mispronunciation becomes Star Trek canon! 🤣 That's hilarious.
Kim who?
🤣
Sentimental and sweet report, the AI pictures are giving me eye-cancer, tho.
Thank you. And thank you for the feedback on the ai art. People really didn't like it.
Rodenberry was wrong it should have been Savek
It would have been interesting if it were Saavik. Especially if played by Kirstie Alley.
Uhura was the one who had the idea for the gasious anomaly. Get it write holmes
?
My gripe is, that several common names should have been properly pronounced : /
🤔
Kim Cotrell? Mannekwin? Klingans?
🤣
Harve Bennett's version would've been better if really good casting
It was better when they did it in 2009. 😅
@@TotallyAwesomeFilmsPodcast no, stupid repetitive stories
Robot voices have gotten worse
What do you think of my real voice?
Apparently that glacier doesn't exist anymore.
Really? Was it global warming?
I’ve been a Trekkie for almost 50 years and have never heard anyone say “Bones McCoy” 😣
🤣
That’s how we referred to him in our house growing up, so it’s not unheard of. No idea how common it is.
Thank you! That's how we referred to him in college. I had no idea some people would think it was odd.
8:48 Wrong grave stone
Yup. I screwed up!
Captain Sulu would be great...sadly they choose Enterprise instead, because...
You're so right. It would have been so epic.
Um, Shatner was the one who acted in classics. V was not a disaster, although some people get some fun writing that. I've seen several good reviews at its opening. It has also picked up positive critical reaction over the years, since it's about the manic following of one man's ambition. But of course, that couldn't happen in real life.
Thank you!
It certainly was a "Diaster".
It certainly was. 🙂
Romulan ale 😂 err no its either beer lager ot a soft drink 😂
Haha! 🤣🤣🤣

found the channel via the more recent 007 videos. Looks like you realized that ppl are not liking the overuse of AI images ...
Yup. People hated them so I stopped. 🙂
12:20. Uh, the Bat Cave.
Star Trek 5 was 🤪
It certainly was. But it was a lot of fun!
So instead of. The Excelsior TV series. We got a video game instead.
🤣🤣🤣
Sorry, Bennett, you did great work, but you were wrong here.
Who the hell is Kim Coh-trell?...
Yeah. I screwed up. 😝
Good informational content ruined by poor robotic narration...
Yeah. It's gotta go!
Real movie buffs know that Star Trek 2 takes place in San Francisco.
Ha! That's hilarious! 🤣
@@TotallyAwesomeFilmsPodcast you must be a Timhead 😂
A.I. narration sucks. As long as a human is available to do this (and do it correctly) there’s no need for A.I.
Check out my Star Wars video where I just talk and tell me what you think.
About the transition I can only say this: of all the ST films in all the galaxies I have visited this one is the most..boring.
Ai art. Why?
Why? I spent days looking for a picture of George Takei as a taxi cab driver or Nichelle Nicholes as a radio host or Checov playing chess or Mcoy at a posh dinner drinking alcohol. I tried but couldn't find it. I was stuck! Then realized I could use ai.
@@TotallyAwesomeFilmsPodcast it's ironic that a creator is defending the use of AI generated images on a Star Trek story. At best, these images are weird and off-putting. At worst, they are made from stolen images. Just my 2 cents worth.
Talks about too much OTHER than The Undiscovered Country. Sorry guys, your thumbs-up is gonna be in the first 10 seconds or so. You should at least 'mention' the title subject in that time or you loose the viewer.
What happened to using a human narrator?
This recording was already in the can. So is Star Trek Generations.
After all the hard work on editing, why ruin it with lousy AI narration ?
Good question.
Roddenberry did not die in 1969 as that grave marker shows. BS
That was definitely a stupid error that slipped through and it's too late to fix. Sorry about that folks!
Another clunky AI narration. Bring back humans. Please join me in down-voting every AI-narrated video.
🤣🤣🤣
Have to agree the AI artwork is distracting and hurts the credibility of the video.
Good feedback.
This A.I voice over shit is un bearable....I couldn't get past 10 mins
I'm thinking of re-doing the audio. I don't know what I was thinking.
Repeat after me...Kim CAttrell, George TAkEI. KlingON, KlingOn. No such thing as klingen's. Good lord..............
🤣🤣🤣
enough of the deformed AI please
Check out my Star Trek TOS and Vger videos. It's just me talking. Tell me what uou think.
bullshit
. Worf was not the great grandfather that was worf the original from the next generation to be.
???🤪😜
Nope... it was ALWAYS stated that this was (our) Worf's grandfather or great-grandfather.
why do you keep mispronouncing words like klingon? Surely you've heard them in the show
🤣
Info was good, lots of interesting facts. The AI voice and constant mispronounced names are very distracting and annoying to no end. The only way fans and viewers are going to change this is to thumbs down videos that lazy content providers persistent in using AI voices.
Thank you for kind words on the info. Im transitioning to just talking. What did you think of my voice for the rankings?
Aaaagh! A.I images. Dump them, please.
Really? 🤣🤣🤣 I like them.
Yawn. .. 🥱
😒😒
The AI images are awful.
People seem to hate the AI images. I think I'll have to stop using them.
They were considering making Sulu a taxi driver?! Geez... was that Shatner's idea? 😉
I know. That would have been terrible. Making him a Captain was such an inspired idea. I remember seeing this in the theater and audiences cheered!
I really didn't like the Chernobyl and Russian dynamic. I would have preferred a story more removed from the current events of the day.
Interesting. Thank you for your comment.
