Built my first board today and went with the gateron blacks, and the whole board its self is just quality imo. And I got the tenkey for only $20, altogether for everything I think it came out to $50 but I got some other keycaps off amazon because I wanted to be boogie and swiped up a matching mouse pad. But honestly this board, at the price I got it at including the rest of the build is honestly a steal.

Do all the current gmmk models (except for the fullsize and pro) come with a USB c port? Would be a nice surprise seeing I ordered one a couple days ago and was expecting a micro USB as well.
Yes. The pro, TKL come in Type C.

It is strong plastic.
For The Capslock key, Is there any indication light to tell whether it is on capslock or not? I want to buy a keyboard like this.
Yes. There is a small dot light just above the arrow keys which lights up when caps is on.

lol, there's only two needed ones, one for the scroll lock and another for the caps lock
on the compact board, there is no light indicator for the windows lock (fn + windows key) but there's a caplock light indicator next to the caps lock key on the left hand side
the biggest part of the board -> is the ability to hotswap keycaps
which, don't know why glorious doesn't just add the glorious panda switch as an available option, just bump up the price by like, another $20USD or something
but yeah, I'd argue that the compact is better than the TKL, and sadly you can't just get a barebones version of the white ice (basically silver) version of the board.

I was thinking of buying a GMMK keyboard but I heard that its latency is high like 20ms. I will be mainly be using it for games. Will it matter much or do I have to look for another keyboard? Can you notice the latency during gaming? Also how bright is the rgb?
RGB is bright enough for me. Not the best but not the worst.
I dont feel latency lag on games I play. I play cal of duty mostly and Starcraft 2. For me mouse is more important. But yeah of you are going to play other games which rely on keyboard latency more then I would say move to another keyboard. I would recommend go with the Glorious GMMK Pro 75%

hey does the black tkl have improved stabilizers (pre-lubed) like they annouced with the white ice version and they said they will do the same thing with the black version i already know its a usb type c as you said in the video Thanks and please reply because im so confuesed at the moment and idk waht to get becuase i want the black version cause i dont like the look of the white but im worried if i buy it will not have the improved stabilizers and the other upgrades that was on the white ice Thank You.
I have checked with Glorious recently and they confirmed both white and black are being sold exactly with the same updates and improved stabilizers. So I am assuming both are going to be same. I believe you are purchasing from Glorious website, then please email them just for the sake of doubt. They usually respond quick. Good choice.

Keychron is a good option for Bluetooth.
I would recommend go with Royal Kludge. I also use Royal Kludge these days. They are nice budget option with good built quality
Hi! is the usb cable type 2.0? and is TKL better than the full size? I'm thinking of buying GMMK but I can't decide which one to choose
It’s a USB 2.0. I prefer TKL over a full size. If you use the number pad a lot, then I would suggest go full size. But TKL is also smaller so you will have more room to move mouse which is very good for gamers.

Yes. All of them have same stabilizers now. Just confirmed with Glorious.

Which would you think is better to get a tactile switch or linear because I wanna get the barebones version
If you type a lot, I recommend tactile. I have both cherry speed silver (linear) and Gateron brown. I do prefer the browns as I type a lot and it gives a satisfying feel. I have also got the Zealios Aqua Zilents but yet to try them. Thanks for the question.

Yes sure. Tactiles are fine for gaming too.

I didnt realise the customisation thing was possible with the black. I just realised after receiving my white one that is has a ANSI US layout. wish i knew before I ordered. I need UK ISO. This layout is a pain for me for programming/coding
So in white you can’t customize ? That’s very weird. I don’t think they even mention it anywhere on their site.

GMMK TKL (€109) vs Keychron C1 (€84,95). Which one to get. I can't choose.
I would suggest Keychron only for one reason, it has lower latency compared to GMMK TKL. But if it does not bother you if you don’t game much then GMMK is a great choice due to its software support and all macro programmable keys which is not available on the Keychron.
@@TechieSnake Thx man. I've looked it up on rtings: 20.2ms vs 8.4ms for the Keychron. Not good for a 'glorious' pc master race.

I have not used the hexgears. But it looks like they don’t have option of barebones and very few stock switch options. Also little bit pricey comparatively.
@@TechieSnake the only reason holding me back from getting the gmmk is that i’ve heard that it has a pinging noise when you bottom out. my previous keyboard had this and it is very annoying
I will be buying this keyboard (barebones) for mainly gaming and work. I have seen people talking about high latency on this keyboard on Reddit. Did you face any high latency or input lag issues ?
I play valorant and dota 2 and dont to face high latency or input lag issue.
To be honest, I have not faced any such issues. But some reviews do say that it has high latency. I play only warzone and Starcraft and I find no issues maybe because I don’t play competitively. Below is review of the full sized GMMK and I believe the same would apply to TKL as well.

Did not get your question. If you mean usb type C, then then the full keyboard does not have removable cable unfortunately. Hence only for TKL

How long did it took you to get the keyboard?
I bought it from a local store in UAE.
But it should not take much time. It took around max 3 weeks for the Orings I ordered from glorious from USA to UAE. If you are in USA, it should be quicker. Just drop them an email and they will respond pretty quick.

Agree. The Gateron browns felt mediocre when I tried others. I just received my Zeal Aqua Zilents. Can’t wait to try them.
@@TechieSnake have you tried any Kailh tactile (coppers/ purples etc.) or do you have any tactile suggestions? I've used Cherry MX browns and they were meh

Why is USB c so important?
It’s just more universal and durable compared to a micro usb. Also since type-c has become the norm nowadays, you may find more variety of cable designs too. You will see all companies shifting to type C in their latest devices.

That unsupported USB-C is still going to eventually go bad. It's not as terrible as a micro-USB but still a poor design choice.

Best Modular Mechanical Keyboard? Debatable. The Keychron's are better quality in my opinion for a few more bucks.
