I have the Spectre Pro. it's quite amazing for the price tbh. Would totally recommend. There's no rattle in the spacebar or metallic ping like older reviews had.
Interesting.. I bought mine in April this year with Outemu Reds and the space bar was rattly and pingy still. Maybe they had improved batches or I lucked out. But yeah still, you get what you pay for at quite a low price. Sure, it won't sound good compared to any keeb with lubed stabilizers and switches if compared at stock, but for the price and what they are they're not meant to be compared even on a tight budget - but for entry level use it works well as a full sized keeb and the side and per key RGB lighting is tasteful. And you can even do hotswap albeit Outemu switches only which is limiting, but at least it can give some practice when eventually finding more keyboards with even more switch support. Also, I'd say that compared to the rest of the more costly Razer/Corsair mainstream gaming keyboards specifically, the Spectre Pro is more valuable imo
Another great option is the cooler master ck552, got mine as a refurb and it was under 50 looked flawless and worked amazing. Gateron red switches, bright rgb with tons of modes and customization, macro support was excellent, it was all good. I have had it over a year now and I love it, use it mainly to play OSU and fps games
For anyone interested in the Tecware keyboard, do note that the hotswap sockets can also accomodate Akko & Gazzew switches without any modifications needed to the switch pins :)
Def thought the HyperX alloy origins core tkl would be here. I have it and it’s an amazing keyboard. The rgb is fantastic and both the Red and aqua switches feel so good. Definitely worth the price of $90!
Yeah i don’t know what that third keyboard is doing on the list. Wireless but it’s bluetooth only 🤮 . I’d rather play on some cheap office Logitech keyboard than bluetooth.
@@88Opportunist the way I understand it is Kingston just sold hyperx as the name. Back in the day when you got a pair of cloud 2’s they were called Kingston. So everything will still exist, it’s just called Kingston. And hyperx will be it’s own thing. At least that’s what it sounded like to me, I could be wrong.
@@garboi8976 I thought the current OEM gear went with it. But I could be wrong as well. Either way there will be a lull before Kingston continues with gaming stuff and/or before HP decides what HyperX stuff they will keep making. Stock of the Alloy keyboards will become unreliable for at least a while if not longer.
For outemu sockets, you can upgrade your switches to Boba lines or Akko CS line switches. These switches have thinner contact pins that fit into outemu sockets. If I'm not mistaken, the Glorous Holy Panda can fit in them as well without shaving the pin.
The tray would be great to hold your phone/tablet when you are gaming. It can also can be used to hold anything small like rings, coins, paperclips, etc
Keychron K2 user here, just came by to give the K2 V2 a huge vouch. I use the first generation of the K2 (I forgot what the changes were aside from the Caps Lock indicator and the second angle adjustment option, but V2 is definitely better than the first-gen), and it’s been a year and I still love it to this day. I really like how nice and compact it is, I can move it around my desk no problem especially when angling it properly to game. My one complaint are the default keycaps - they’re actually quite okay, but they just feel cheap since they’re ABS after all. I got the Razer PBT keycaps in their mercury white and it definitely looks a lot better, just that not all the keys fit in perfectly like before (delete and home keys are lower and higher respectively) but overall I’d recommend getting a better set of doubleshot PBT keycaps sometime down the line. TL;DR - Keychron K2 is definitely worth the buy!
tray honestly has so many uses, from a place to put your tablet, to an easily accessible place to store EDC items like cash or pens etc. plus the soundwheel thingy just looks convenient. dont get me wrong, love my good ol gigabyte multimedia keyboard, but boy oh boy would that keeb be a sicc upgrade
Tray would be absolutely perfect for keeping my phone in view without getting in the way of my mouse! And also because I'm a repair tech at my job, could also be a good place to keep any extra screws because of how small they are on most phones.
The tray would be good for me to put a few things: I'd use it for my drawing tablet stylus, maybe my dab pen, or as a ZigZag/Raw holder when I'm rolling. Definitely a different kind of productivity compared to what everyone else has been saying but it'd be pretty convenient for me haha
I have the K2 and have modded it recently with some lubed and filmed Gat Ink Black V2. The biggest downer for me was probably the plate material, but otherwise its a great choice for anyone!
I would use that tray for my phone to improve my productivity and multitasking capabilities in my online classes. Also, it would be nice to have a mechanical keyboard since I am currently using a 5$ 4 years old membrane keyboard.
As a student, i'd probably use the tray to keep pens and stuff for quick annotations. Or even an open smaller notebook with sketches when im trying to 3d model
Love the budget list and I hope you do more for other peripherals. One thing about Tecware, is their software SUCKS! While you don't need it for the basic controls, you will have to install it if you want to customize it. The software is very buggy and doesn't seem to be updated very often (if at all).
Sorry to hear that. I rarely use their software, at most only to change lighting really, and I haven't had problems with that. So if it's buggy when using macros, and you need macro keys to function well, then yeah this isn't the budget board for that. Otherwise for what it is, and for the price, it does the job at its core.
I would mention that Skyloong is the manufacturer of the GK61 and in the US they are available as Epomaker boards. Not sure you can get the different color chassis outside white and black but considering a lot of the HK Gaming issues (not just the keycap issues) you get the flexibility and customizability of that GK61 in a less slimy manor.
Got an iPad 7th Gen, will use the tray to hold it. My Logitech K480 went bust a few weeks back, haven't replace it yet. This should be an incredible addition, thanks Frank!
I love that the Ajazz made it onto here such a great board for productivity and for a fair prize! And if you want to mod it there is also a hotswap version
I got a keyhome kh68 which was just under 100$, I've been using it for months and I recommend it. You get your choice of mostly gat switches (I went with yellow), xda keycap profile, fully hotswappable, can be wireless/wired and it has a nice weight to it. Really the only downside is the plastic case doesn't feel the sturdiest but it's a fantastic board.
The K620T has been in my wishlist for quite a while now. Always wanted a volume knob on my keyboard and a tray to put my pen/stylus whenever not in use. The tray would also work well as a dock for my phone while charging so it's still in my field of vision even when I'm not using it.
It might sound kind of scuffed, but for the Fnatic, if you just REALLY gotta have a custom cable, you could probably get a small USB C extension cord to run through the channel and then pop your custom cable onto that
My girlfriend would use that to hold her ipad! We're building her a pc and she needs a keyboard and that tray would be the icing on the cake! Thanks for the video!

I think would give that keyboard to my dad since he works with excel on an iPad a lot. The tray would help him keep it there and hopefully let him work more comfortably
I would use the tray to put my phone in it - having my phone in front of me instead of on the side makes it easier to look up to my monitor to down on my phone rather than having my laptop to the left and my phone to the right. I could also take down notes for lectures on my phone, answer calls and display my to-do list for the day.
