HUGOGamer 115 Welp, Logitech is out of the question, because their keyboards are trash. If you have the money, go for the Apex Pro because being able to adjust actuation makes it useful for typing and gaming alike. The Razer Huntsman TE is a good option if you can't spend $170 or more, but the light actuation means I suggest you have a backup keyboard and you only use the Huntsman TE for gaming, not typing

You, my friend, have a lifelong sub. I'm also a massive fan of The Amory Wars and the Claudio Sanchez's Tetrology. The albums become so much more significant when you understand the cryptic story Coheed performs.
Very concise and informative video that doesn't use a lot of terminology that I find really annoying in the keeb world. Keyboard enthusiasts are always describing boards and switches as being "sloppy" or "sketchy" as if that tells us remotely anything about them.

@@anonymoose8020 I didn't. There's a high pitch clicking sound coming from the switches even with the slightest touch, so, bottoming down the keys was never the issue. I got a new keyboard with Gateron Browns BTW. It is damn silent, yet I miss the clicky feedback of the blues...

For me personally, it's all about getting used to it.
I've tried different kind of keycaps and at the end of the day I choose blue switch because I have a habit to put my finger on my keyboard and always end up pressing it accidentally.
The blue switch is very tactile (and loud) but I never press the keycaps accidently when I'm using it.
yes, it is very loud but I've befriend the noise of the blue switch and I end up licking the noise it's produce :D

Great vid.. thx.. I'm trying to locate a nice usb 3.0 keyboard with at least 2 usb 3.0 pass-through ports for mice & other peripherals.. The speed of the usb 3 over usb 1 or 2 is the reason.. I know most folks don't have this requirement, but for me its important... This seems to be a Unicorn of sorts.. Any advice here would be great!!

I just want something that will feel like the Sidewinder X4 I've been using for the past eight years. My bro has had a few mechanical kbs, I don't know what switches they had, but none of them felt right to me. It would be really cool if there was a keyboard compendium site to compare the specs.

Fun fact: Kailh Box switches aren’t called box because of the frame around the stem. This is a common misconception. They are actually called box switches because the metal contact inside the switch is encased in a box which is what makes it dust-proof and water resistant and also the reason why you can’t lube box switches

Gonna go for Corsair mk70. But not sure if I want brown or red switch.
I think I would prefer the tactile.
