I like the long term usage reports. They are extremely helpful especially for expensive items. When you don't have a lot of money to spare it's nice to know whether something is going to stand the test of time before you buy it. Keep these coming!

If it's not already been mentioned, an update to Logitech G Hub allows you to pair both the G915 keyboard and a compatible Lightspeed mouse (G Pro Wireless / Superlight) to the keyboard's receiver, meaning you now only need one dongle for both keyboard and mouse.

I've had this Keyboard since Dec 15, 2019 so almost 2 years. Absolutely zero issues, battery life is great, I haven't noticed any latency issues and I haven't experienced the dropout like you mentioned. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone that doesn't want wires. BB had all three version when they first came out in store and I was able to test them all and ended up with the clicky.

The dropout issue (4:45) is due to RF interference coming from the USB 3.x ports on the back of the case (not a wireless range issue). The USB 3.x interface is known to cause interference in the 2.4GHz frequency band (which is what the dongle uses). You can mitigate this by distancing the dongle from the USB 3.x ports (via a USB extender, or move to an area with only USB 2.0).

    • @DylRicho

I wonder if this is going to become more of an issue as motherboards come with no USB 2.0 ports.

This makes a lot of sense, i have a G305 (super cheap lightspeed mouse) but i connected the dongle to one of my front usb 2.0 ports in my old case, it was a micro itx i had connected to my master bedroom tv 10 feet away from the bed and i never had a drop or lag, i finished Doom 2016 like that with 0 issues, i now moved my build to a new case (Lian Li A3) and to a desk, the dongle is now in one of the rear usb 2.0 ports around 10 inches away from the mouse and i still have no drops at all, on the other hand i have a K400 plus i was using with the itx case and even though i didn't have drops the lag with that keyboard is crazy, good for media center, light typing and web browsing but definitely not good for gaming.

I've got the wired G815 version of this keyboard for 10 months now and still loving mine. I've had 0 complaints about it since day 1 and still love using it to this day to game on. The num pad, volume wheel, and multimedia keys all work great for me since I'm someone who wanted all of them along with the USB passthrough. Given my want for the USB passthrough and not really caring about wireless, the wired version was the way to go for me since it was cheaper too at only $150 w/ tax when I got it.
The keycaps is the one thing too I do feel that will wear over time as expected since these are ABS keycaps and I did notice when looking back then too that there really didn't seem to be many options too as you noted given the non standard low profile keycap design these use with their switches. If it gets to that point, I'll probably try to order replacement caps too, but then again my last keyboard with the G710+ I lived with work keycaps till I replaced it with this after like 4-5 years of use.

Mine I got G915 and yeah so far no regrets as well. I wish there will be more 3rd party keycaps though to at least combat this ABS keycaps that does get shine overtime, which is really just the 2 disappointing part of it. Other one is the 2nd characters don't have backlight, due to switch design.
Hopefully they fixed this all on 2nd gen. Hopefyll when that time comes, I'm ready for my replacement which it seems like this keyboard will last for years.

From a non-biased and absolutely unpaid perspective:
(Note: I have the TKL [10-KEYLESS] Version)
    1. The battery weirdly really does last that long
    2. Zero issues with latency
    3. Can confirm the material quality is amazing
    4. The keycaps have a really nice feeling
    5. Get textured keycaps for WSAD
    6. My keycaps aren't worn through at all either.
    7. Bluetooth mode works great (not much latency at allll. Like hard to notice it)
    8. Volume knob is NOT worn out (I use it a lot)
    9. My keyboard is **NOT** Bowed in any way shape or form @Jay, I'm sorry yours is.
    10. I can easily get 25 feet away from dongle, no problem with connectivity at all. This keyboard has NEVER "gone in and out"
Hope this has helped the community.
(Ohhh note 2: and I love tkl over 10 -Key version: why? I hated the g1->5 keys.. it got in the way every time I tried hitting shift, caps lock, tab, esc)

I bought a G915 for work in mid 2020 and am super happy with it. The shortcut keys were a big seller for me along with the wireless capability and tactile low profile keys. I am a GIS analyst and programmer so I use a lot of shortcuts for software and do a lot of typing when writing code. The range problem might be related to the fact your tower is entirely unshielded on the side and is facing the keyboard. Not sure if it's still a thing but motherboards were once considered an RFI hazard because they broadcast RF noise like crazy. Could be a factor.

Anyone with a single-coil guitar will tell you that any PC is a gigantic beacon of RFI.
But even in the most intense RFI situations a wireless keyboard/mouse shouldn't have that much trouble with it, unless you have like a microwave oven with the door open and safeties removed pumping out hundreds of watts of EM radiation. The couple of milliwatts that come from a PC shouldn't interfere at all, no matter the shielding.
I do remember with an old logitech wireless mouse the range was horrible unless I pointed the mouse at a wall and bounced the wireless signal off of it. As in, you really needed line-of-sight with the dongle (which jay doesn't appear to have in the setup-shot), or have a bright wall where the RF can bounce off (which jay also doesn't have).

Not an issue for typing but definitely not ideal for gaming. The keyboard is out of warranty so support could only provide troubleshooting, which didn't help. I finally saw a thread about the solder on the switch being loose. I opened mine up and sure enough, a slight separation in the solder was present on the W key. I simply touched it with a solder iron to melt/reattach the solder and it works perfectly again. Great keyboard, solid repairability, and I would recommend to anyone with the money to spend!

I wanted to love this keyboard as much as you do, since I really liked the design and typing on it. I bought the G915 with tactile Switches and a German layout some time ago. The key caps started wearing down within two months, not becoming shiny/polished like you showed, rather the paint coming off on some keys (for example on the edge of the A key and the face of the S key). One of the clips on the left arrow key broke shortly after.
I returned it and thought I'd maybe just gotten a bad sample and ordered a G815 as a replacement (since I didn't end up needing the wireless functionality). I've had this one for the better part of a year now and it's showing the same signs of wear already as well. The letter on the S key is just one big spot at this point, with the paint coming off. The A and shift keys also show signs of wear. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I effectively use it some eight or so hours a day for work, uni and gaming. I'd say I'm rather careful with it, I don't move it around a lot etc., I don't use it with greasy fingers from eating or whatever. So I don't see why a 200€ keyboard should show these signs of wear after less than a year.
Replacement keycaps are only available from random no-name brands that noone's ever heard of and I don't really trust to do a better job on quality.
So, take that for what it's worth, but I've definitely had my fair share of issues with this board. If I didn't like typing on it as much as I do I'd have probably gotten a new keyboard by now.
Oh, and another note: I personally absolutely hate the G Hub app. It's a pain to use, it's a pain to configure on-board profiles, half of the features are useless or don't work very well. It's just a plain mess in my opinion. Again, might just be my experience, but I configured it once (meaning setting a fixed color on the on-board, which took way longer than it should have) and uninstalled the app.

Using the multimedia keys for music control and the lightspeed technology is amazing. • @menglingtian6472

The rattle is due to the design of low profile choc switches - you cant have a stiff keycap stem unlike regular MX-style keycaps because the switch is designed to only accept 2 thin stem legs. Without the give, it becomes really easy to crack the keycap legs.
Also low-profile switches don't really help with gaming, contrary to what manufacturers market them as. It's honestly just a matter of personal preference and you can always adjust to regular MX style switches after a period of prolonged usage.

Im using G910 v2. The first one (v1) went bad because LED's partially failed (blue ones died on some keys) and it developed a double click issue on several keys. Also the arrow keys started to lose labels as they wore out (i dont use WASD). It's high time for Logitech to move from ABS caps to PBT caps. Atleast on keyboards that cost over 200. If not for all caps then atleast WASD, arrow keys, spacebar, enter, bacspace and a few others.

I just purchased this keyboard, and so far I absolutely love it! It's a huge step up for me from my Logitech K540 keyboard (wireless office keyboard). I love the RGB on the G915, and the fact you can have the RGB colors change with sound visualization. That RGB mode does drain more battery, but I still don't have to recharge more than every second week. For me, this keyboard makes it easier to not mistype when writing, and that's while I'm still getting used to typing on it. And for gaming it feels really good and responsive. I have the tactile variant, and like the fact that you got a little bit resistance in your key presses, meaning you need to press the keys properly down for it to register, which will lead to less mis-pressing of the keys. The keyboard feels very sturdy and solid, and I feel like it's gonna last me many hours of typing and gaming before it gets worn out. It's well worth it's price!

Is the bow not due to ergonomics? Since it's using chiclet keycaps an ergonomic intentional bow would have both ends lower since we tend to rest our hands and use more pressure on those ends of a keyboard, while the middle are would kind of be higher for easier quick presses.

One thing I do on my 815 with the macro buttons which I never considered until recently was to use the macro buttons to run actual software or executables. I often switch between my headset and my speakers and if I'm in a game it's a bit painful to have to tab out of it or press windows key, go to the sound sources and then scroll through the entire list, so I made a quick batch file that switched my audio output between the headset and the speakers and I put it into the M3 macro set which I don't have on by default so I don't accidentally trigger it. It's a huge quality of life thing that the Logitech Software makes possible.

Having had both that and Corsairs - what do you think of the keycap/keycap stems on the Logitech? Do they seem pretty durable? I love my corsair keyboards but their key cap stems seem to be made out of the most fragile crack-prone plastic that exists.

    • @eldibs

They feel reasonably durable, and without actually measuring, they look a little wider too, which should spread out the force of your keypresses across more plastic and add to durability. To be fair, I've also never had a keycap stem break on a Corsair board either. For me the deciding factor was how they keys felt to press. Corsair boards are fine (for me) in that regard, but I demoed a Logitech G815 before buying it and fell in love. Of course, that's also down to personal preference, different people will prefer the feel of different boards.

I've been using my G915 for a little over 2 years.
    First impression: Excellent keyboard.
Long term impression: Best keyboard I've ever used.
    Mode of use: Battery.
Latency: No discernible lag at all, not even in first-person-shooters or racing sims.
Range: Keyboard is 8 to 10 feet away from PC, with the keyboard's USB dongle plugged into a front USB port. So, keyboard-to-dongle is a clear path, no obstructions, no lights nearby except for daylight coming in window. No connection or dropout problems with this setup.
Battery life: 4 to 6 weeks. G915 goes to sleep (lights off) after a few seconds of idle time (never measured exactly how long). Daily usage is several hours, typically 2 to 3 hours, sometimes longer. Two thirds of the time it's gaming; the rest of the time I'm typing. Keyboard lighting scheme is static, not changing or flashing. There are 4 backlight brightness levels, in addition to OFF. I use the 2nd lowest brightness setting which is clear enough for me even in daylight. It has a good on/off switch, but i just let it go to sleep.
Key action: Excellent MX keys with light action makes for quick typing. Key travel is more than, say, a typical laptop, but not quite as deep as my old super-clicky PS-2 keyboard from last century. Volume control "roller" is a nice feature. Media keys are round and rubbery so of course they feel different.
Durability: Never noticed the keyboard is bowed, but when it's laid flat I can now see it's ever so slightly bowed. You'd have to hit the keys really hard to make it flex, though, so not a big deal. Have probably logged 1,500 - 2,000 hours bashing the keys in shooter games, yet every key still feels and responds like new, no problem. Key caps are not showing any obvious wear and tear.
Summary: Fast, very low latency, slightly-clicky, durable wireless keyboard. Great for gaming and office work. Good battery life considering it's a lighted keyboard. Good connectivity, with Bluetooth option included.

I've had a g915 TKL for a while and absolutely love it. Love typing on it. Love swapping back and forth between computers with it (hey Logitech, put that feature on more of your mice than just the Triathlon or whatever it's called). Wires is actually one of the things that keeps me from going all out on custom keyboards. I don't want a wire. Don't need them, don't care. Even good Bluetooth has almost zero latency. It's the connecting to multiple computers, with an easy way to switch back and forth that matters to me. Keychron seems to be the only other company that remotely caters to that idea. I just recently got the G815 (the wired version of the G915) and love it. I'm really picky with mechanical keyboards because the higher profile keys just don't work well with my hands, and I found the louder keys, even the "silent" cherry switches to be annoyingly loud.
These keys just have a really nice feel to them. Not a lot of wobble. Very responsive. Require a little force to push, but not too much. The depression curve on key pressdown is very even, which is another problem I saw with a lot of the larger mechanical keyboards I tried. Some people like more play in the key, I personally prefer the much more responsive, even curve on these. And on fast typing, once you get used to the keys the play on bottoming out is a tactile joy.
I think my only complaint is that G Hub can be kind of a pain to configure, and the Num and Caps Lock button lights (above the F9-F12 keys) are bright enough to potentially provide light for an Eastern European city, and I have not found a way to change them in the software. I just turn Num lock off, and may just get some tape to cover them up, but it's an oversight which may annoy other people like it does me, so worth mentioning.
But overall, fantastic gaming and typing keyboard.

I'm shopping for something that's suitable for both work and gaming, so these were deal breakers for me-not a bad thing considering the price tag.
I'm now looking into the low profile Corsair K60 and K70, but they have their own shortcomings and are not whole lot cheaper.

Mine I got G915 TKL instead and so far I never regret my purchase and loving it. Well, if there is a suggestion that I really wish they will do for the v2.0 is to have USB-C port, G keys macros for TKL, RGB on 2nd character keys, and hopefully new switches with better swappable keycaps. Oh, maybe Logitech should do a numpad add-on for TKL version as well.
I have been tempted by Everest Max keyboard, but that was more expensive, not wireless, and not low-profile. I wish Logitech will make a magnetic numpad for G915 TKL.

I have the same keyboard and same list of suggestions. I don’t understand why there’s no RGB on the second character keys. I also want the ability for all of the keys to be programmable like they are on the razer keyboards.

For my personal preferences this has been my favorite keyboard I have ever owned. I rarely ever have to charge this thing, like ever and sometimes I have obnoxious color profiles so idk what they did but whatever it is, they should do it to the g935 headset because that thing is a great headset but has terrible battery life. Again, love this keyboard and have never ever ever ever had an issue. I forget that it’s wireless.

USB 3.0 or higher causes issues for 2.4GHz dongles. Not really a distance problem. You'd need to create some separation between a 2.4Ghz dongle and 3.0 or higher USB ports.
Simplest solution is to use a powered 2.0 USB hub (cheap one from Best Buy Essentials will do wonders, also good for USB Audio DACs).
Some Logitech products include a short USB 2.0 cable to attach your dongle to as well.

I trusted his review on this, and it's honestly been absolutely fantastic. This is by far the best keyboard I've ever owned, and I was absolutely adamant after countless failed wireless keyboard/mouse attempts that the technology just sucked. Been using it for over a month now 8-10 hours a day, as I work from home on it+game, and it's an absolute dream, paired it with the g pro wireless, fantastic set up.

I had a G512 that died after there was a house leak right above it. Was really annoyed as I didn’t have it long but did made some custom light profiles for my games. Saw the G915 with 43% off on Amazon so just ordered it. Was considering a Keychron but I like the setup I have on G-Hub. Being able to use it with my iPad is a bonus too. Can confirm that mine was curved out the box so I have to assume this is on purpose. Also got an included dongle adapter for the cable.

I've got the wired version and its an amazing keyboard. Good to hear that the wireless one keeps the quality with the removal of the cord.

Wireless gaming peripherals from logitech has been really good in the last 10 years.
There's been mechanical issues like volume wheels and rgb ect, but the lightspeed and the version before lightspeed is extremely good for gaming and general use.

I had my 'e' key wear out and was outside of warranty by about a month and they actually just sent me an entire new keyboard free of charge.
