The second that stories become inconsistent or start changing when it involves missing or injured children is ALWAYS extremely concerning and suspicious.
I agree. I can see "additions" to a story, but changes don't make sense (unless you're lying).
Any case... that's a very negative sign.
Inconsistent statements or stories are red flags for investigators.🤔

You can't trust anything Klein says. He claims to have confessions, jackets and all kinds of evidence, but he has never presented any of it to police or shown it to anyone.
That would be sort of a red flag 😕

Everything about this case is inconsistent and strange. For instance:
1- During the trip to the store, they said they got "lost" for nearly an hour, which is ridiculous because there is only one road to town and the the tiny village is only a couple of streets long.
2- They told several lies, for instance, that a beer-truck driver had interacted with Deorr and that the gas station attendant had also interacted with Deorr. Both men were interviewed and both adamantly denied ever seeing Deorr. Why would they make up all the stories about people interacting with Deorr during this shopping trip? It is clear Deorr was not with them, two independent witnesses said the parents were alone. Maybe they got rid of him along the way?
3- One thing that is striking to me is the difference between this case and Maddie McCann's case. The McCanns tried to get as much exposure as possible and never stopped looking for their child, they even met with the pope! These parents, on the other hand, did not want exposure. After the first couple of interviews, they didn't want any more media around, and wanted to forget the incident.
4-Vernal moved out of state and Jessica remarried only a few months later, and was all smiles (kinda like Casey Anthony partying while her child was missing). I've seen many cases of missing children and the parents never stop looking. Maura Murray's dad kept looking for her forever; same with the McCanns. These two, on the other hand, moved on with their lives as quickly as possible.
5- Interestingly, when you listen to some interviews with Jessica, she refers to Deorr using distancing language, calling him "that kid", "little man" or things like that ("that kid was my best friend"). Chris Watts did the same things on interviews ("I want those kids back"). She rarely uses his name nor does she say "my child" or "my son". It's all very distant.
6-Vernal, the father, made remarks like "I want to prove everyone that we're innocent". One would think that his priority would be to find his kid, rather than to prove anything!
7-Did they want to get rid of Deorr and use Isaac as a scapegoat? Otherwise why bring along a guy that you don't know at all and who has a criminal past? Who says “I want to go camping with the family, and it would be a great idea to also invite some stranger who is a weirdo”? Even the grandpa said he didn't trust Isaac and didn't know him well, so why on earth did they bring him?
8-They were deeply in debt and struggling financially, but they decided to spend money on a camping trip?
9-And why go on a camping trip on a Thursday instead of the weekend? Perhaps because the campground would be empty?
10- Jessica did not want this child like she didn't want her previous two kids. There is a picture of her with Deorr and she's giving him such a hateful stare that is unbelievable. She had already given up custody of her two previous kids, and she had tied her tubes. She dumped Vernal a month later and quickly married another guy .The opposite of a grieving mother.
11-Two private investigators, one after the other, offered their help, only to quit shortly thereafter because they felt the parents were uncooperative and deceitful. What are the odds that two detectives would say the same thing?
12-When Jessica and Vernal were evicted from their house, one of the private detectives was granted access by the landlord and he found the boots they said Deorr was wearing. The boots were in the house all along. Another lie by the parents.
I don't know what happened, but when you put all the pieces together, nothing makes sense. The whole thing stinks!
I think they sold the kid..and took the money to start new lives. She figures her kid is with a good family so she's not torn up over it..and Verbal glad to have some pocket change to pay his bills IMO.
The McCanns have made multi millions of dollars from the publicity they generated and were able to pay off their mortgage and travel the world.........

@@_HimToo They weren't millionaires and had a mortgage to pay off. They went to a budget resort in the off season so it was cheaper. They could have hired a full time nanny to stay in the apartment with the kids, or at least an overnight babysitter.......they didn't do that.
The changing stories and that these parents moved on with their lives so quickly make them extremely suspicious to me. I can't imagine losing my child and caring about anything but finding him.
Baby deorr was a liability so concocted. BS story to cover up murder. Sudden camp trip but needed feminine supplies. Uh huh.

You think they dont care? My boy went missing also. I could only search so much before going back to work to pay the bills. 6 months later his body was found in a small case in another county. His killer was caught & confessed. People accused us of not caring, smh.

I live near Idaho so this story dominated the local news when it happened. I was suspicious from the start. I camped with my kids starting when they were toddlers. I never let them out if my sight, especially if we were camped near a body of water.
I think if DeOrr had been anywhere around that campsite, he would have been found.
It's rather incredible that no charges have been made in this case.

I'm from Idaho Falls. My family has rental property and few years before this Jessica actually rented from us. She had I think 2 other kids then that she lost custody of. She and her then bf were a mess.
All the times we have camped and hiked I never took my eyes off my kid. You just don’t, especially a two year old. Thanks Dr G.
Between my wife and I, we never took our eyes off of our kids until they started attending school. We never even hired a babysitter. Better Safe than Sorry! It's crazy times.

OF COURSE you do! You look away for a few seconds when you're checking if the food is done, or when you're in the bathroom, or when you share a tender look with your spouse, or when the kid is tucked into his sleeping bag asleep and you go outside the tent to enjoy the campfire a bit longer. There are ALWAYS moments when you're not actually looking at the child. Of course, you keep it brief and infrequent, and you're keeping your ears on the child when you can't see him/her. But you are not being honest with yourself if you say you never take your eyes off for a second.
I mean, it turned out that the woman who claimed a "dingo ate my baby" was probably telling the truth, though we wouldn't realize that until 30+ years later from the initial event. Anything is possible, but the parents seem pretty suspect in this case.

She was cleared and was telling the truth.. This family here is full of it.. When you're child goes missing, you don't forget the story AT ALL.. You know exactly what happened. They have 7 different stories but, I do understand what you're saying.. Unfortunately it's the constant changing of their story that is the issue..
I was thinking the same thing. This reminds me of the "dingo ate my baby" case as well. Which is such a sad story, I feel terrible for what that mother went through. Although my gut says that in this case, the family did do something shady.
She was *definitely* telling the truth. But it’s not like that case really, which happened at night where there were loads of dingos. Some people always believed Lindy Chamberlain, just not the majority. I doubt anyone believes these two.

Love how Dr. Grande’s speculations are absolutely, “nah, I smell BS; better luck next time pal.” Always gives some good insight and really makes you think about all sides of the situation. Keep speculating sir, this really sheds light on human behavior and has us fans taking a deeper dive on these cases.

@@tinawindham6958 They have, immunities were offered. Neither one signed the offers, literally for Jessica they offered parenting courses and probation, if she revealed the location of a body.
The accusations of internet sleuths are not evidence of the Kunz' characters, it's evidence of the ugliness of society. Possibly evidence of dark subconsciouses too, from some of the macabre and detailed theories.

I thought it was weird their were never any soiled diapers found around the camp or cars etc.
I work with DeOrr’s grandmother. She called some guys that she knew well and had camped with. As they were loading up four wheelers, they received a call not to show up. Why would anyone not want men and women who spend their off time camping and hunting. It’s heartbreaking to watch the grandmother live through this living nightmare.

IMO, the only reason they brought the grandfather and friend were to misdirect the police investigation - give the police someone else to investigate and blame. This case has always bothered me, to many changes to their stories which is always a red-flag.

I definitely think you’re onto something with the friend- they wanted him to take the blame if cops realized it was a homicide. I can’t imagine trying to put the blame on my elderly parent though… that seems too far even for monsters. However, if they are guilty I 100% would not put it past them

@@donnawalker8352 Take that with a grain of salt, if you will. I live in the northern mountain region of Idaho. Bear attacks across the country, much less fatal attacks are not as common as people think (with wyoming reportedly taking #1 spot with attacks.) That being said, yes, there are cases of bear attacks and it is a possibility...unlikely, but a possibility none the less.
Here is what the 'justice for baby deorr' website has to say:

We would like to say that while this new reading that says Baby Deorr was taken and killed by a bear, that we are open to all theories and readings for Baby Deorr, but he has not been found yet, so take the solved part lightly and continue hoping for him to be found.

As soon as it came across our news here in Idaho, we knew that the parents were/are suspects. If two separate private detectives, hired by the parents quit because they feel the parents are lying and being deceptive….. they are definitely suspects.
I just wish those detectives that were suspicious of the parents did not quit but rather that they played along and dug deeper and took all evidence to the police. If there is some law that states if you work for someone that you can not hand over evidence because you are taking money from them, then say to them, no that is o.k. I will work for you for free just to help. I wish some detective would offer their services, not for them but for Deorr.

I've followed this case for a few years now. So sad. Caregivers shirking responsibility, and no one has enough integrity to honour the poor little boy's memory...

Sometimes I read old newspapers for fun. There were so many children who 'ran away' or 'disappeared.' It makes me wonder how many parents have got away with murder over the years. I'm glad we live in an age where unsolved child disappearances are the exception rather than the rule.

@@LeeDee5 This is true. I recall watching that documentary Grizzly Man and being shocked at just how much it takes to get a bear to maul you. The guy had zero knowledge of wildlife and it took years of acting stupid around bears to get one to eat him. It's actually quite a bit harder to get yourself killed in the wilderness than people generally think. On the other hand, it is *very* easy to die from other human beings.

Am pretty sure the little boy didn't go on this spontaneous trip at all. One of his parents killed DeOrr, probably in a fit of anger, and they took along the other two people as "witnesses" to their story. If you watch true crime stories about children who got lost in the woods, large numbers of viewers believe there are always kidnappers and wild animals lurking around, ready to pounce any minute. Never mind by far the most likely explanations are 1) the child just got lost -- very easy to do -- had an accident, and fell into a place where his body could not be seen, or 2) the parents killed the child, and took the body out to the wilderness to dispose of it. I'd bet big money that DeOrr's parents had seen shows like that before, and thought "here's a plan!"

In interviews, they honestly don't come over as bright enough to plan the week's meals never mind a murder . Plus a cadaver dog alerted there as did sniffer dogs. I'd say accidental death covered up.
The following is only a mere theory:
The 35yo friend, Isaac, was brought along as a patsy. The plan fell away though: not only did he not hear what the mom called to him, he didn't even hear her at all. Unless he has a hearing impairment, then she never called out to him. That story sounds so weak anyway. Not thought out at all or just stupid reasoning.
Boy is either dead or illegally adopted by another couple. I'm not seeing grief, so am leaning toward the adoption.
At 43, I don't have any kids that I helped make. But I've had the privilege and honor to have helped raise several kids of varying ages. I virtually never let the young ones out of my sight, but as you real parents know, the couple times one slipped away for a minute, I was an absolute WRECK. So this one stings a bit
I believe the theory that the boy never even made it to the trip. That they did something to him before they even went and used the trip as an excuse for him to go missing.
Have u read or seen the show based on the cry? I got those vibes from this. Setting up this elaborate scene to make it seem like the child was alive and with them when in reality *spoiler alert* the child was already dead and buried.

I love it when an expert, in any field, uses the "Sword of Damocles" to illustrate a point, particularly a winning point. It immediately creates a vivid picture in my mind and I almost always end up agreeing with that person.
Wasn't there a condition on Damocles' sword? Like Damocles was a king who lived under duress in that the military would kill him if he failed them? Something like that. Doesn't apply here.

This whole event sounds too well planned. Bring an acquaintance and an elderly man who uses supplemental oxygen and whose mentation is questionable to a family camping excursion?? The boy goes missing and everyone is saying, "I thought that he was with you!" Stories and memories are sketchy at best, and change at worst. Find the motive for wanting the child gone and you'll find out the who, what, where and how.

Who brings an old man and a friend with them, if they're planning on murdering their child? Something happened, I just don't think it was planned.
The grandfather's questionable mental state is what makes it seem genuinely to have been an accident.
Why would they count on him to bolster their supposedly fake story?
Unfortunately, mishaps like this happen every single day.
Similar to a child drowning in a pool surrounded by family: it's not outside the realm of possibility for everyone involved to have truly believed the baby was being watched by someone else.

My belief is they counted on his being feeble, if you will. And agree with what the parents said.. So as not to look completely dotty.
They said the boy was with him and he agreed.
I honestly don't believe he was alive. Placing a deseased child wrapped in blankets in a car seat. The others can say. Yes he was there. Not realizing the truth. That has been my belief anyway. Just horrible how children are so disposable these days.
I had not heard that the parents both remarried and moved out of state. I have been suspicious of the parents from the very beginning. I had not heard they had both remarried and moved away. I know each person/family reacts differently, but it is not uncommon at all for parents to turn a child's room into a shrine, not change their phone number (for older children who might remember the #) or refuse to change any number of things with the faintest hope of the child returning home. Something happened and they were lucky enough, though they probably think it was because they are smart enough, to get away with the crime. Sometimes, criminals just happen to do everything right by accident. Sad.

This is a case where virtually the entire public felt sure they were murderers and treated them as such. Maybe they did kill their kid, or cover up his death, but even if I were completely innocent, I can't blame them for wanting to relocate given the level of hatred directed at them. The not changing their numbers thing is mainly parents of a child who was old enough to remember a phone number when he went missing. This kid was 2 years old and wouldn't remember a phone number or address. If a child goes missing and isn't found within 72 hours where's about a 95% chance the child is never found. Probably even higher given where this happened. By the time they moved away, there was essentially zero chance DeOrr was going to be found alive. Not every person wants to set up some shrine to make themselves depressed every time they walk past their child's old room.
yea 8 months later the both remarried. so the boy isnt even missing for 1 year and they both are meeting new boyfriends/girlfriends, going out on dates and getting married. i'm wondering if they each had wonderful joyous wedding ceremonies. like you said everyone reacts differently but 8 months seems way too soon. i saw the missing 411 movie about this case and i didnt even really suspect the parents, i kinda did but like the last on the list. now im rethinking it and may watch it again
I don't think they were married to begin with. And it isn't unusual for a couple to split after the loss of a child. The shared trauma is too much and they cannot move on together.

I'm a forensic psychologist and I go from prison to prison and deal with the worst of the worst kind of offenders including rapists, child molesters, murderers, serial killers Ect. & Considering I stare into the face of killers every single day, I can literally look at their faces in the interviews that they've done and see nothing but straight guilt!!💯
I don't know that they intentionally killed him. I question that. But I do think something happened that they're covering up.

This story has always been a big mystery for me. If the parent(s) did this, they won't be able to hide from justice for long. With so many "no body" cases going to trial, it's not as unusual as it used to be.

Why is this even remotely considered a "mystery"? The entire event was arranged from beginning to end by the "parents" to get rid of the kid. The jacket he supposedly wore on that trip was found in the "parents'" apartment when they were evicted from their apartment.

I don’t know these parents or have any affiliation with them but I just felt the need to respond on your comments about grief and how the mom got married 8 months after the disappearance of Dior. We humans have a hard time dealing with pain like grief and it’s not at all uncommon for a grieving person to jump into a relationship because they are trying everything in their power to feel better and to get away from the pain of heartache . Nothing works but we still try .
I lived in Idaho Falls area for a little over a decade and I've been to Leadore due to my first husband being an avid sportsman. It would be pretty easy to lose track of anyone in the wilderness or "out in the middle of nowhere " areas that are common here in Idaho. I don't understand why these people didn't have DeOrr in their sights at all times. I've known parents to put small children in harnesses while enjoying the great outdoors. I remember this case when it happened and I don't know if the parents had anything to do with the poor child's disappearance but they were clearly incredibly negligent.
I put my daughter in a harness when she was 1-3 yrs old. She began life running! She walked early, was very tiny & beautiful, never met a stranger…etc. She also was a born Houdini so I found a harness that zipped up the back. Children are so easily lost or get away from you.

Wow. In the beginning, I was under the impression that Jessica & Vernal were walking down to the water - baby DeOrr attempted to follow them, and, one of them brought DeOrr back to the campsite & asked Grandpa & his friend Isaac to keep an eye on DeOrr.
Grandpa said he would help keep watch over Baby DeOrr.
I never heard about Isaac walking down to the water Jessica & Vernal. Not until very recently. (9/2021)

From your information these two “ parents” seemed to be more interested in shopping and finding a creek with big fish, than being concerned about their child.

I’m glad you chose little DeOrr’s disappearance (allegedly) to analyze - it’s now been 6 years. I saw the first news reports with the mom’s 911 call ~~ She takes her time to finally & calmly say “Ohh. By the way ~ MY TODDLER SON ~ umm ~ We can’t find him” ~ WHAT?? It’s one of the weirdest 911:calls I’ve ever heard. Plus ~ many details given by his parents don’t make sense. Women don’t go very far without tampons; who drives with a toddler (allegedly) at night to a faraway isolated campground??? Was the child even with his parents on the trip?
I think DeOrr never made it to the campsite ~ something awful happened to him earlier thus the oddball coverup “last~minute” drive in darkness to the most remote campground in the county. When was the last time anyone else actually saw little DeOrr alive? I don’t think Isaac truly saw him. No photos of DeOrr at the campground exist.
I don’t understand why LE has not yet charged at least one of little DeOrr’s parents for Negligence.

I would love to see Dr. Grande do an analysis of the Ray Gricar case. Ray Gricar was a district attorney from Centre County, PA who went out one morning after telling his live-in girlfriend he'd be home sometime in the afternoon. He seemingly vanished. His computer hard drive was found in a nearby creek near the last place he was seen, and his car, a mini Cooper, was left in the vicinity as well.
My guess is that it was an accident caused by their own neglect or abuse. They didn't mean for him to die but are culpable in his death. Everything after is a panicked and callous attempt to avoid punishment.
Agreed. The parents didn’t get along at all but they put on a big show for the public and LE. They were stupidly lucky with their devious plans to dispose of their son’s body. But they haven’t fooled most people by now. They have no conscience.
It seemed like they were both getting rid of baggage. She got rid of her other kids, then convinced Vernal, who was NOT her husband, to go along with a late term abortion of sorts. They did this on their trip to the store. Did anyone ever do a medical evaluation to see if she was actually on her period? They drove back and took off walking to start the “missing” story into action.

Well, their suspicious behavior and the fact that every other possible events seems just de facto impossible or just very, very unlikely makes it clear, that the parents have to be somehow involved.
Assuming you’re correct, where’s the body? Where’s the evidence of a death or blood or body? Wouldn’t that require the collusion of the other two adults? So 4 adults just ok with covering up the death of their baby, that by all accounts the love? It doesn’t add up for me 🤷🏼♀️

Just to play Devil's advocate in regards to scenario#2: a lot of people thought the parents killed that baby that got carried off by a dingo until they found the poor little mite's body in its cave.
I'm not by any means defending anyone. I'm just saying strange things are possible and sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

I’m so sick of all these missing children. If you are a parent, you have one priority - look after your children! My kids are the most precious gifts in my life and the thought of any thing happening to them is bad enough, add in any negligence on my part and I just couldn’t bear to live on 😢
I thought it was interesting that the grandmother asked her daughter if she did something with Dior. I can’t imagine my mother ever asking me that. The Grandmother also thought her husband could’ve been negligent and lost the child. Sad all around.

This was a very interesting story and I listened to it pretty carefully. It made me teary-eyed at the end of the story because I realized it had similarities to my son when he was missing back when he had just turned four years old he was missing under The Narrows Bridge in Washington state and he had been with his Dad and a friend of his Dad's and they were fishing 🎣 and the two adults were drinking beer 🍻 when they went to leave the waterside they had to climb the big hill to get back up where the car was. Aaron walked slowly behind them carrying his can of Coke and at some point he dropped the can and it rolled back down the hill and so he went after the can. When the two men ran to the top of the hill, racing each other, they got to the top of the hill and there was no Aaron following,.. Dean my husband and the father of Aaron ran back down looking for Aaron. When he got to the bottom there was no Aaron, so he had to decide which way to go on the railroad tracks. He chose the wrong way and ended up looking for Aaron in the wrong direction. What we found out later was that Aaron had got his coke and started walking down the Railroad Tracks. He walked for a mile. The police and sheriff's department had stopped the railroad train traffic,.. there's more to the story if anybody's interested in hearing it, happy to finish the story.😳 Anybody intrigued❓

I have to admit when my son was a toddler our extended family was camping. It was my turn to cook breakfast and my father-in-law had my son. He thought son had followed me back to the other campsite acrossed the road. My son was missing for about 1 minute and it was the worst minute of my life. That was 14 years ago and I thank God nothing happened to my baby.. moral of the story is, it can happen to anyone I just hope that who ever did something to that baby pays for it sooner or later!
When a child goes missing in wilderness, I wish tracking dogs would be brought in before a massive search group obliterates the scent.
Sadly, it does seem the parents are guilty in this case.
This little boy was never at that camp ground. He was killed the day prior or way earlier that day. Thrown away like garbage and they came up with f'd up story to cover it up. It's awful. I'm so sorry. He didn't deserve that. But my heart and brain tells me this was all a cover up. It's so damn sad. I'm so, so, so deeply sorry to this poor angel. God rest his beautiful innocent soul. An his mother getting married to a different man 8 months later tells me she's got big ugly fuzzy issues!!! Now me personally I'd be losing my goddamn mind if I didn't know where my baby was I'd be inconsolable everyday, every second, every moment of being I wouldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, I couldn't breathe and if I didn't know where my baby was the last thing on my mind would be bumping uglies and marrying somebody else let alone dating somebody else in order to be able to marry somebody else 8 months later. So that tells me she knows exactly where her baby is/was and has made peace with it and moved on. Which is very scary like very, very, very scary. The dad is no better absolutely no better but as a mother!!! as a mom you have to carry that baby for nine months technically 10 months you are tied to that baby, soulfully tied at that baby. It is in our DNA to protect love and nurture our babies. To do no harm and to kill anyone who tries to hurt our baby. To lay down our lives for our babies. I hope she can never have another child. I almost wish force sterilization was a option in this situation like this, like take 10 years off your 90 yr sentence if you get sterilized. Hopefully she can't do math and signs up. Women like her scare me to my core.

I would love if you could do a video one time explaining polygraphs in general. Exactly what it is they measure and why they are unreliable and pseudoscience. I understand they are not allowed in court unless both parties agree to allowing it prior to taking the test, which if it’s all BS I find strange altogether.
I think legislators should outright ban it as a police tool altogether. I don't even buy that all police know it's pseudoscience but use it as a tool for extracting confessions. I've seen many cases where the police ruled out a person who was guilty of the crime due to "passing" the polygraph, only to later discover proof the person did it.
They are admissible in federal courts and like 20 state courts, as well as most states in pre-trial considerations. Polygraphs aren't as bad as Dr Grande makes them out to be, it just highly depends on the polygraph examiner. The main problem is different examiners may interpret things differently. If they were just a tool for tricking stupid criminals into confessions then the Dept of Defense wouldn't use them when candidates are up for security clearances and the CIA wouldn't use them to screen applicants. I wouldn't trust some local cops or sheriff to give me one, but that isn't because of the polygraph, it's because of the clowns that would be administering it.

This video just started and I can't wait to hear what Dr. Grande have to say. I did alot of research and have been broken hearted and angry about this poor child. I remember it being said that the grandfather was not fond of the child. The guy they brought along, he was confused to why he was invited to attend that weekend and if I remember correctly, he lawyered up because he felt they were trying to put blame on him and he told the police quite a bit of information. One being he felt he invited only to be used as a scape goat. An animal managed to carry Dior without knocking off his boots and hat, lol!! Funny not funny! I'm curious to know what kind of life insurance policy they had on Dior? They have to live with themselves for the rest of their lives. I would need to seek professional help and be sedated at all times if I were to accidentally kill anyone! Just horrific!!

I think it was accidental. Chaotic people don't plan & act on impulse re the unexpected trip. The friend always floats an accident scenario & Grandpa always mentions wishing he'd paid more attention . Maybe they left him with Grandpa who was already unwell & he wasn't taking proper care, so an accident occurred & they're covering for Grandpa.

I was just thinking about this case earlier. Imo that poor child is dead and the parents know it, what mother would move out of state if there was even the most remote of possibilities that their missing baby would be found? Nope, she knows that there is nothing to stick around for.
It's been many years. There's next to zero chance DeOrr will ever be found alive. I wouldn't read anything into moving out of the state. People have to move on with their lives at some point.
@@chad3232132 It hadn't been many years when they moved out of State though, it had been one year and the parents hadn't been actively searching for DeOrr for long before that. Their behaviour was never indicative of parents desperately searching for a missing toddler.
@@rx4real253 94% of missing children not found within the first 72 hours are never found alive. By the time you get to a year we're talking essentially no chance he's alive. I'm not sure what good hanging around in a state where everyone is accusing you of killing your kid with no chance he'll be found alive actually it. Even if I were 100% innocent, I'd want to start over somewhere else if I were them. Not saying I don't think they know what happened, only that their action in leaving the state isn't evidence either way.
I have searched longer for a cat than they did for their kid, get real they are so guilty it stinks!!!

Dr Grande, It is not unusual for a mountain lion to grab a small child and disappear without a trace. There was a 3 yr old found 4 years after going missing north of Fort Collins, Colorado. He had been taken from a church group. The remains were in a mountain lion’s den. Searchers didn’t see any sign of a mountain lion in the area. They didn’t find the child, because the den was far up on the side of a cliff.

The grandpa seemed the most shady to me, from interviews I’ve seen. He laughed when asked about what could have happened to the baby, and he referred to him only as “the kid”, distancing himself and refusing to use his name. The grandpa also said at anther point that he did know he was supposed to be watching the little boy and “looked away for 5, 10, 15 minutes”.
The grandfather lived the rest of his life with guilt, he was small town elderly simple man, his choice of words to describe deorr are acceptable to me, who knows what the grandfather guess was on what he thought happened, Bigfoot, alien, large bird of prey, I would have a difficult time playing this over and over, what I should have done, I'm scared , nervous I'm a suspect and my vocabulary skills are questionable,
I'm having trouble keeping track of the four adults in this let alone the child.
It’s a frustrating case because the family that were present and involved are so dishonest seeming and even downright creepy. I can understand why people think they’re involved.

The parents left their two year old with people who were not used to caring for him, out in the wilderness to go get tampons ?. Huge red flag, or these parents haven’t never cared for a two year old! Seriously a two year old is almost never still unless asleep, runs everywhere, never goes in a straight line, has attention span of gnat, and is way too much for any elder man!

I do not believe his parents harmed him nor do I think they were involved in a coverup, but he may have wandered off or encountered a wild animal? The pain they feel no matter the reason must be an unimaginable pain.

Thanks for telling us that the lie detector test is bogus. If I or anyone I know get into any trouble, and they want us to take a lie detector test, I will refer them to you.
Police now automatically ask you to take a polygraph! I was wrongly accused by someone of stealing a belonging, local cops arrived, asked me if I took the item and right away asked “are you willing to take a lie detector test?” UH. NO.
Time can be difficult to measure in a traumatized mind.
