Jah volunteer for life man. Every time I hear a jam, new or old, it feels like a lesson of vibration. A library catalog waiting to be listened to. They’ve helped me through rough times, good times, and for those of you who’ve been able to have them around for decades, I’m thankful that your experiences meant just as much to you as it did to them. Love the ecosystem that’s been made. Phish continues to live, a central hub, as their shadow glides below. Keep being awesome everyone :)
So proud of these guys and how far they’ve come in 40+ years. I can’t think of another musical act that has this level of professionalism, longevity, and dedication to its fans- all while continuously pushing boundaries, putting out new music that STICKS, and reinventing themselves and their sound. I’m so grateful for this band-we’re so lucky to have them.
well i get your sentiment, and can agree
however here are a few others...
Wayne Shorter
ZZ Top
Miles Davis
RUSH
Rolling Stones
Santana
Sonny Rollins
U2
Red Hot Chilly Peppers
Parliament/George Clinton
Herbie Hancock
etc...
Phish exists because Dead Heads needed to go somewhere after Jerry Garcia died 30 years ago.
90
thank you Phish!!! What you guys continue to bring to your fans is truly amazing. We couldn't get to the Sphere this time but looking forward to the next go around. Evolve 😉
Excellent segment! Finally, something newsworthy! Outstanding piece, well done! Trey is hilarious 😂
oh they were astounding
This is excellent and informative. Straight up
Trey !!! Bless you - you are like Shpongle !! - you are awesome and have the spirit of music so strong !!! Keep the free flag flying !!!
I’m no phish head but do enjoy their music and after seeing them live a long time ago they’re the perfect band for the sphere
Phish are a phenomenal band. Amazing live performances. Seen them a few times over the years.
Nice job with this interview!
The Baker's Dozen was a series of thirteen concerts performed by Vermont-based jam band Phish between July 21 and August 6, 2017 at Madison Square Garden
Not one song repeated.
The best!
The music of the ..spheres🎉❤🎉
Mike says no.
Best band ever
😅 7:14my boys told me the watch this. I’m 79!
I'm 77 and I've been enjoying Phish since 1997
The 2nd act after U2 to play the Sphere? Hell no, Phish should have been the first! There is simply no comparison.
Way too many people for me I’ll stick to vr😂
A guy that has season tickets to Rangers games and rubs elbows with MSG owner has plenty of success. Not many people I know would thing it makes anything but sense for Phish to be the 2nd person playing Sphere.
I want a round room at the end of the day (this is no place for squares)
I've never heard of them and I'm 70😢
They’re a real rock band. They know how to put on incredible concerts. Some of their music is out there, but it’s because they experiment heavily. You come to see that they are brilliant musicians.
You're not missing anything
If u have a deathstar u want a Jedi at the helm. Phish is the only band that can & will manipulate that space so u split, open & melt. This place is a jam bands playground. It,s an assault on the senses 2 draw ya deeper in. More comfortable they get there the bigger & better the shows r gonna b. After they come thru a few more times they'll have it mastered better than the people that run it. BBITL
I thought they retired.
Shout out Brad the tool
KMAYFT
Phish is still around? I guess so.
Ya, why though?
Wait till dead n co shows up
Just like they said no Larry, no U2, some are gonna say no Jerry, no Dead & Co.
Tool seems like the obvious next step after this. As long as it doesn’t coincide with harvesting season.
It’s about time Phish is getting the recognition they deserve! I could not be more grateful that I get to live on this earth at the same time as the Phish from Vermont! My goodness we’re so lucky. ⭕️🎶🫶
Well it sure isn’t the same as the Dead at Sam Boyd. Not as hot though I bet.
U2 and Phish, my personal double bill from Hell.
SO, YOU'RE STOKED?!?
😂
" Rock Opera" - Whenever Phish gets mentioned in the " Mainstream" Press it so Cringe... lololo " They May Not be Taylor Swift" - Ridiculous Literally 95% of CBS viewers are saying " Whos Phish" ? - Do all of us Phish Fans a favor - Stay Away. Go see Kid Rock...
Sphere phish 2025 with derek trucks
Who is booking these bands like Phish or U2? Of all the musicians you could pick...
You’re not bright.
You must have never seen them live I've seen them now a dozen times because of my GF and now I'm a Phish fan give them a try love these guys are amazing!!
JacobSoSux, why are you even asking questions here?
all the shows sold out instantly, yeah such terrible promoters.
people who know good music, obviously.
Now, just image when a good band finally plays there!
Why is phish still around?
Because awesome for smarter people than you, apparently.
Because they're part of a frat that can't fail even when they're not good at their job
is there anyone under 40 gonna be there? (who wasn't dragged by someone older) Of all the bands you could've picked..
I would’ve if I could’ve man. I tried to buy a ticket as my high school graduation gift for myself because I’ve been a massive Phan since middle school, but JEEZ they were expensive. But ay, first night of the dead will be just as fun!
Phish still attracts fans of all ages.
@@spuddougherty7860 you know it. I’ve got an arsenal of friends ready to go to the alpine shows this summer, many of them are into phish too. I’m very grateful for the experience and knowledge of life they’ve given me. Love em dude.
@FesteringEarth How old is your crew? I'm one of the geezers about to turn 57. Been seeing them since 93
@@spuddougherty7860 most of us are seniors that are about to graduate and then a few juniors in the mix too. By the time of the show the spread would be 17-19, which I’d imagine crews like that aren’t too frequent nowadays for Phish. At least from what I’ve seen. We’re all stoked though, it’ll be many of their first shows too.
Worst band ever
Endless noodling…..
U2 , Phish ⁉️ Tool should have been the band to open the sphere. What horrible picks.
Never heard of them.
Most of the visuals were cool but a few seemed immature and childish and actually distracted from the music Overall it was really cool though Bathtub Gin was NOT cool Perhaps if the jam had been good but the jam and the visuals were just silly I think w the Sphere the Webcasts are almost a waste of money because you have to be in the Sphere to get it
It is so massive and that does not translate to a computer screen at home It is also a curved venue but the graphics put into the system are in a flat program and I hate to say it but occasionally you could so tell
A MILESTONE of TECH for sure and better than U2 and more CREATIVE and still my favorite band and always will be but these shows were more about the unique one off nature of each theme and not the Music ....the shows if you JUST listen were not spectacular shows They were not terrible like Vegas 2004 either (the worst Phish shows ever yes worse than N2 Coventry)
I am very proud of my band for ALMOST overcoming the odds and putting it all on RED Passion and only coming up short on a few visuals here and there Great effort though and I love my band Phish
I suppose I am one of those smart fans Trey talks about in this interview because I picked up 3 possible themes and said the correct one was most likely and not Spheres My exact words were "liquid solid and now gas as the theme being most likely. Is this night Trey making us think it is specifically Fire but really the theme is GAS" on N3 and it is nice to be proven correct every once and a while Bad for the ego but nice to toot your own HORN
When they were both touring hard in the late 90’s, Widespread Panic was better. Seen both many times.
Widespread Boring is DONE!
So washed up. It should be wEEN!
Phish? Why?
Because they bring the rock to the smart people. I'm sorry your weren't invited.
After 40 years, nothing but a garage cover band from Vermont! Go put more noise to another children's book! It seems to be all the rage!
Phish sux.
It's comical to me how anyone is enjoying this. It's awful. Not offbeat or anything just doesn't sound good in any sort of enjoyable way
For people with disabilities
How so? Because you have to be deaf to like this? Maybe
💤😴
Гуфиниякта гадраст..
Why bother with your gibberish???
