Mesmerizing performance of Bath Tub Gin. Seen them so many times and they never cease to amaze me. Can't imagine seeing them at sphere though. Wow. Viusally off the charts and the drone footage was spectacular. Well done
This was one of the highlights of the night for me. I almost lost by balance when the wave initially swept over us at the beginning. Superb patterns and jams.
Sadly their set lists are watered down by songs from their recent albums. If they played one or two it wouldn’t be a big deal but they play too many & frankly they’re horrible. Someone in Phish org needs to be honest with them bc they aren’t picking up on the shifts in the crowd’s energy.
Thank you for sharing. Seriously loving it. Also, am I the only one who thinks that something like a Bakers Dozen 2 would work exceptionally well at this venue?
Yes. It won’t take them as long to figure out doing more shows this time because they’ve figured most of the hard parts out. Now they just get to create with the best in the world. The shows and visuals this time were formidable. They are going to knock us off our feet next run. It makes me a little nervous about how good it’s going to be.
What a time to be alive… trippy digital imagery encapsulates the entire landscape while high definition camera drones buzz around like hummingbirds capturing the evening for the entire world to see anytime, anywhere.
SO surprised at this!!!! It has been decades since we've heard Clayton and Mullen THIS deep in the pocket at a live show. And The Edge!! Bono wasn't heard from for a bit (you can hear on the audio here that he sounds a bit different..) and that gave Evans space to really play. Great show
I've seen U2 in Chicago at The United Center and the show was so average and Nobody was into it. I went on a mother's day with a lady friend and I will never turn down a show especially if I haven't seen them before. They were ok, i don't get why people like U2 but U2 fans can say the same about phish. Phish is by far more talented and masters of their instruments while U2 is a lame pop band with no exploration or improvisation in their music. Boring pop rock can stay in the elevator where they belong
Only other band that would make sense to see at The Sphere is Tool. I don't see Dead n Co using the Sphere technology to fullest potential like phish did. Trey was apprised along the way while The Sphere was getting built. So I'm sure Trey used every trick and every sound beaming The Sphere was built by an Audiophile that likes to take LSD. The sound was the coolest sound system in the world. The fact it was so precise and accurate was just mind fucking me. The only way to experience a show at The Sphere is to take some L and enjoy the show because it was the best show I seen from phish in 15 years possibly longer
If you didn't go for the music... that's on you. Wow though! They & their team set the bar for what can be done there & no doubt they'll set it higher in the future!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I like the imagery but I still think it would be way better to have built a gigantic light rig and have Kuroda go nuts. Maybe it’s a had to be there type of thing?
It is….its unbelievable from the inside. Not ever going to be a replacement for what Mr Kuroda adds to every show…it’s a change. But….you have to be there to truly grasp the sheer experience.
@phish Could one more pro-shot video from 4/19/2024 be posted on TH-cam? I noticed each of the other three nights at the Sphere had two pro-shot videos posted, but 4/19/2024 only had one. Axilla (Part II)? Theme From The Bottom > Split Open And Melt? A Wave Of Hope? You Enjoy Myself?
I am a wimp when it comes to THC, mushrooms and LSD. With all those people and the massive surrounding trippy screens I’d probably end up in the ER. Now a small pre show quick toke and a few beers…no problem.
I am really surprised they did not play ROUND ROOM or SOUL PLANET This specific visual was not good but childish for me personally It took 1 of my favorite Jams and it made it CHEESY It did not help that this version of BGin was not good If the jam had been epic I could forgive the silly background Overall though the SHOWS were amazing and really really cool
Part of me is fascinated by the tech and the brilliant visuals, but at the same time, the screen is so big and makes the band look so small, I wonder if it takes away from the band, music, and people around you.
I saw U2 seven times at the Sphere. I'm not a big Phish fan but I was interested in what they were going to do with the venue. I'm slightly disappointed because while they did use the screen to the fullest effect it seems, as one poster put it, like a giant screensaver. I think they would have been better served by inserting shots of the band playing on the big screen and integrating that with the trippy graphics. Even though it seems intimate, when you're up in the 200 and 300 sections the band is pretty far away. Maybe I haven't seen enough clips and they do this elsewhere. The venue itself is overwhelming and I'm sure all those who attended had fun. Not slamming Phish and their music at all, just giving my opinion as a Sphere veteran and enthusiast.
They've done shots of the band with trippy graphics for a number of songs. One thing to remember is when U2 plays a song... they play the song. Phish's show involves them coming up with a graphic and then being able to stretch that graphic out to 20 minutes long or 12 minutes long depending on the improvisations. They are then live manipulating the graphics to go along with the jams in real time. Also, they have made 4 full shows for each night that are completely different vs. playing the same 20 songs for every show.
@@JP_43yeah, they mixed it up nicely with both abstract and themed animated graphics as well as band member shots within graphics- and the pictorial of the band members throughout the years was epic and very moving.
Page going bonkers while Trey trying to sing. Golden.
Yea dude. Trey laughs and says, Hey!
He prob diddid cause he’s tired of the new expression signing Trey does! It sucks stop doing it Trey
Haha Page was unchained, Trey had to rein him in.
Thanks Phish for posting these on TH-cam, no way I could have afforded attending these shows . Sounds and looks amazing!🤙✌️
You aren’t missing anything. It was better years ago, glad the band can capitalize on the work they put it.
❤❤❤@@stayathome316
Not even a Phish fan and this blew my damn mind
Guess now you’re a fan
Seeing them live will send you then. Just ask Drew Carey.
Lol. He’d stick his unit in a blender to see them at the sphere again.
You are weak minded if this blew it
Welcome!
there's something magically powerful when Gin jams pick up steam around the 7-10 minute mark -- thanks for posting!
That’s what my not girlfriend says when we’re laying in bed having not sex…if you know what I mean 😉
"...something magically powerful when Gin jams..." and I stopped reading ;)

It was insane. I peaked
@@bstiner22 Haha I bet you did! Been there before. Man I am jealous I wish I could've saw these shows.
Boooom
That’s a perfectly placed “Boooom”, right there. Gotta get caught up with your N1&2 reviews.
Every show is good homeboy can you do better you talk too much smack
@@AnthonyMorroni I'm trying to get better all the time

I was there, great band performance enhanced by state of the art videos. The future is Sphere!
Smokin'. 🔥 I havent seen Phish since 1999 and this makes me want to go back and dance.
Phish was made for this venue. Next time will be even better.
Sadly their set lists are watered down by songs from their recent albums. If they played one or two it wouldn’t be a big deal but they play too many & frankly they’re horrible. Someone in Phish org needs to be honest with them bc they aren’t picking up on the shifts in the crowd’s energy.
Did first two nights. Never missing another sphere phish show.
Best video ever recorded of a timeless 1 and a million performance. Masterpiece
The sphere sucks major donkey Dong 🍄😊
So grateful to have been there. Incredible footage here.
The drone shots are sick
Best 4 shows I've ever seen ❤
Anybody watch last night's "Free"? Wow!!!
Holy sh******t, it must be amazing to actually be there inside the sphere.
They took us to all kinds of incredible worlds!
It was incredible.
Welcome to the phishphere
This is so lame lmfao
No one could do it better than Phish. Mind fucking blown!!!!
Thank you for sharing. Seriously loving it.

Something like that has got to be on Trey's brain

Didn’t win tickets. Hope you all do this again and I get to see it in person! Loving the shows online! See you at Deercreek!
Dover for me this year. Praying for a Martian monster at the monster mile. 😂❤
Thanks so much for posting this video... Big, big, big thank you!!!
Rhapsody in Blue at 2:08 !
SPECTACULAR.
😁
that drone footages sweeping in and around the band is bonkers.
Thank you for sharing on TH-cam!
That open with the piano and visuals was epic
Got off the bus, for a minute. Phish at the Sphere, might not jump back on the bus to quick!
AWESOME, THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Sheeesh. This actually might be one of the best shows/performances of all time
This BTG is weak compared to so many others
Loving this, haven't seen Phish since 2013 and can't wait to see a few shows this summer, been way too long!
It’s hit or miss now.
@@96phjams04Total nonsense. They have a much higher floor than they did in 2013.

So fun
Amazing venue....
That was an amazing bathtub. Mahalo Nui
He laughs at himself for messing up, I love it, I guess he was just too excited lol😂 1:29
Not a mistake on Trey’s part! Page wanted four more bars
The most amazing band ever I’ve been with them since 91
Naw. This performance was weak. They really could of took it deep with that sphere. And they know it. Super missed opportunity. Maybe next time.

about 1/2.. take away the visuals and this is complete trash

If you had a good seat for this show on 4/20 of '24, then you my friend are a championship Phish fan
Genuinely asking. Are there bad seats? Seems like anyone who was there was part of the legend...
Absolutely hate I missed this in person but I can’t wait for summer time with you boys 🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠

And some will say U2 can't jam! The lads killed it here.
Amazing that they did 40 of these in a row. Same show. This must've been an off night cuz they usually jam

Sensory deprivation tank feeling. Was great off only a g. Too much though, could overdo it for someone real easily
Thought the initial visuals were pretty lame, but they got there! Pretty blazing Gin though! Loved the breakdown at 12 mins.

Hi, I like phish
If Phish is doing this well, Limp Bizkit and Radiohead must be reigning like GODS.
Phish is like Ween. Loyal fans are key. You won't heat em on the radio. Both gems
Gel-tabs need to come with admission! The visuals actually take you mind off the music if your not careful.

What do the graphics have to do with the song? They will fit better when the beach boys do a show there.
Part of me is fascinated by the tech and the brilliant visuals, but at the same time, the screen is so big and makes the band look so small, I wonder if it takes away from the band, music, and people around you.
They can project the band on the screen, but the point of the venue is VR without goggles/headphones.
"Nice lil' popsicle stand you guys got here... mind if we play a song?"
i don’t get it. i’ve heard this exact band at a big car show with a side stage.

Wow their amps arent on stage
The sound system is thousands of speakers all behind the screen, so they have to minimize stage sound. Also why Fishman is surrounded by plexiglass.
