You were supposed to be able to us them in both versions of last light and 2033 redux, they're basically 1 grenade capacity versions of the Medved.

I love how the Redux function to check the watch also helps you gauge how much ammo you have in the mag for most weapons. Been playing 2033 on Ranger Hardcore and used this function a bunch of times.

Graphics, detail, animations and game play are fantastic, to the fullest extent really. This game is fantastic..but as great as this game is, the sound effects kinda suck pretty hard..
You mean the guns? All the other sound effects i love
The only actual “bad” thing about any of the sound effects is the sync for the guns’ inspection animations with the animations’ sound effects.
I think the Sound affects are amazing, Just Not synced perfectly.
And their audio Quality isn't the greatest either
in my opinion its okayish.
@@jimqatnt honestly i like everything about these guns except for the shooting itself. the recoil is so soft and lazy looking, it kinda fucks up my aim cuz of the indistinguishable feedback. The recoil should be a little jerkier just as the action fires. The automatics suffer the most. It just looks like wiggling the gun up and down and trying to sync up to gunfire sound effects.
Fun fact : Reload sound of Kalash in Metro 2033 / Last Light (Redux included) are the reload sounds from Stalker Soc. (Shadow of Chernobyl)

Yeah that's pretty much how they are in the game, it's not perfect
It's because those things are designed for the Spartan mode, since it uses the same animations as the original Last Light, which was only available with the Spartan mode. This one's set to Survival, which slows all of those animations down for a more "Original 2033-like" experience, but they forgot to match the sounds to the animations, it seems.

Yep and it feels like you could even make a functional Shambler in real life. Most games *cough* *cough* Rust and Fallout 4, have homemade guns that feel like they wouldn't even be able to fire 😂

Have you ever seen russian auto grenade launcher? It is monster gun with 30 bullets, and one man with good muscles can it use in hands.

The Abzats is a DShK heavy machine gun modified to fire shotgun shells. I’m sure it’s physically possible to make a real one.

Preved looks like a PTRD-41. If it is, the thing is probably dislocating his shoulder from each shot and knocking him on his ass.
As much as I like the customization system of Exodus, I do miss the weapon variety of Last Light (shotguns and large caliber rifle especially)
It's like the comparison between fallout nv and fallout 4. While fallout 4 offers more customization it can still feel bland, while in nv there are tons of unique weapons that can be slightly modified. And I gotta say I like NV and Metro 2033s style more

The revolver and lolife are my favorites cause you can essential turn them from a pistol to a rifle/carbine of your choice and specifications

I don't know why anyone would complain about sound. The reload and handling sounds are great. Are they talking about the sound of weapon firing itself?
The non-suppressed firing sound, reload sound and animation for the revolver is unrivaled in any game, even Exodus lol

It just sounds like they looked up gun shooting sounds and copy pasted it into the game which is exactly what they did everything else is great though

I actually own the rifle that the straight-pull action of the Valve is based on - a Swiss Schmidt-Rubin 1896/11.

The Ashot gun is my favorite.
The gun firing sounds are ok, but the mechanism sounds def should be improved

Am I the only one who likes how the guns look in metro there hand made and scrapy looking
I won't lie, of all the guns to really confuse me, the biggest would have to be the Tikhar. I see what they were going for; it's a pneumatic rifle in which an air pump, gas tank (where the air gets pumped into), and numerous pipes filter air behind each round- which I believe are all nails a la a nailgun- in a small burst, making it a fantastic subsonic mid-ranged rifle...
At the same time, though, the big thing that confuses me is the overall design of the gun. All the gizmos aside, it clearly seems reminiscent of an assault rifle of sorts. I want to say it's similar to an AK, but at the same time, it seems to have been heavily redesigned with things like a top-fed magazine similar to that of the P90, and a barrel more akin to other, more long-range rifles.
What makes this gun shine, or the best use of it imo, is for silent sniping early in the game on hardcore modes.
The metal balls/bearings (not nails) can be retrieved, they can be picked back up if you shoot and miss (or even on the body I can't remember) so it's great for hardcore scavenging when you need to conserve as much ammo as possible.
It's also silent by default and I LOVE the goofy scope you can get with it. It follows the same top pneumatic shots from another gun i can't remember the name of that to reload you replace the tubing on the right side just like the Tikhar.
Idk I love the gun. I wouldn't put it in the AK category it's more akin to a single shot silenced shotgun or revolver imo.
The animations might not be the best but you know you loved this game

Well Metro Exodus is coming out in a few days. We still have tons of undiscovered weapons that 4A Games didn't share with us so fingers crossed.

How do u get to that shooting range?
How the heck does the Bastard keep a round in the chamber when you reload from a non-empty mag? It doesn't even have a chamber!
The gun probably works from an open bolt, meaning the bolt is held to the rear, when released it pushes the round into the chamber and then fires. An empty reload would require the bolt to be re-cocked so it's ready to do it all again.

I wouldn't know as I never bought any of the DLCs.
It is one of the beasts found in the game. There is another room with npc models, and you can make them go through idle/walking/running/attacking animations. They have sounds, though I don't remember if they are supposed to be playing if you aren't interacting with their character model.

Is it me or they changed the Duplets Quad barrel 4 shot sound? I remember it having a louder and more distinct sound than the regular shot sound. As in very loud but best appreciated with a good pair of headphones.

And they made the Bastard an SMG, well it always did looked like an SMG but it fired 5.45x39mm, i believe the only handgun caliber that the Metro use is the .44 Magnum

Young/millennial gamers are so spoiled whinging about "the sound is not good"... so many whinging children in the comments. This game is phenomenal and if you'd been playing as long as I have you'd be amazed with where we are not jaded by all your options and driven to narssascistic demanding.
I think you misunderstand what everyone thinks here. No one hates this game, everyone loves it, but the sound quality is indeed not all that great. IMO, I never minded the sounds because everything else made up for it, but they‘re subpar compared to others.

VSSK Vykhlop, funny thing is its a bolt action integrally supressed sniper rifle, while in the game its semi auto, you can only get it at Ranger and or Hardcore difficulties
