I’ll be 70 this year, so my Speedmaster suits the peculiarities of an aging body, but I love the look of your Thruxton. Be nice to hear it run, especially with that Motone x-pipe and those shorties.
Hey there! 2016 owner, many of the same mods, Analog FEK, Cone Shorty's, X pipe, Evotech engine guard (to cover the big hole left after CAT removal), and this past weekend changed the front and rear sprockets to T120 parts - huge difference in rideability, highly recommend the sprocket change..... enjoy
@@tims-garage 7K miles on the chain, and when I removed the stock 16/42 sprockets they showed minimal wear. Replaced with T120 17/37 sprockets which are plug & play, no change in chain length, just slight adjustment for tension. 80mph is now at 3500rpm instead of 4500, and overall gearing just feels perfect.
@@tims-garage hey there.... always felt like I needed another gear to shift into (after 6th) especially on the freeway, now with the new ratios it "feels" more natural, and doesn't feel like I ran out of gears. Even 55mph at 3000rpm just feels better that previous. In short, engine revs, shift points all feel better sized for me, so whether its cruising from point A to B, or carving up some fun roads, that rideability just "feels" much better to me!
Hey Tim, great video! So I’ve got a new Thruxton RS and was wondering how much of a difference the de-kat made in terms of power? Just bought some Arrow slip on’s which sound great, but no noticeable power difference.
Can you link the headlight you got? Been looking for a blue tint light for mine but can’t find one that’s the right size. Also do you have a video of the throttle adjustment?
Everything we do in life involves a risk assessment. The lights a super bright and Im always cautious when turning. I'd say my risk is not much higher than riding in general.

Lower clip on kit and a gauge lowering kit. Done it to mine and its so much better.

Good question! It does feel a lot peppier for sure. And sounds way better

@@nimayegan3 it can if you remove the cowel, but it's not comfortable. The 2 up seat is recommended.
