Dont need a pawn with elvish, grab 3 bunches of flowers, give the inn keep at sacred arbor one bunch of flowers, each day, for 3 days, and she will give you a scroll that teaches you elvish.
That's worth mentioning, but also, it teaches YOUR pawn elvish and replaces its current specializition, which you might not want to. In the end you still need a pawn for it, yours or hired.

The mirror shield that can be obtained from the castle vault 100% does turn Medusa to Stone if u block her gaze in time fun lil tip
So where do you find the mirror shield? At what castle?
@patrioticz2858 it's in the vault in vernworth castle the only functioning castle xD if u need the exact location gonna have to look up a guide I wouldn't be able to guide u verbally its best to see it JorRaptor uploaded the short video
@@YuYuMFDOOM haven't got the game and from what it looked like there were multiple castle ruins so I didn't know if any of those had a vault that you can get too
@patrioticz2858 oh no no there are ruins but this will be in basic the starting castle u get to in the 1st main area but yea get game 1st if at all then worry about it lol lots to run into

There is also a mage stuff with a frost enchantment at the back of the dragon tower. It’s in the bottom under the lower section.

FYI - if you want Medusa’s head as a wep, you need to attack her head with a lightning imbued wep. Those rogue blades at the beginning of the video are epic for doing it.
All you need is a bladed melee weapon, it doesn't require lightning imbue
Anything bladed will do the job. Lightning not needed.

You know i got the dead ringer from the first encounter without killing the dragon i think its a chance to drop it from breaking the pustules on its body so i had it since it fled melve which was confusing cause i thought you had to kill it

I got the fire staff from the same mob but in the mist area.
Can't believe there isn't an enchanted bow for Archer and there's no Torpor.
Probably bc they wanted to make classes more “in role” so an enchanted boy sort of becomes a magic bow which is another class weapon

Yeah the sacred harbor weapons are so good. I got lucky and a random pawn asked to join but it and she speaks eleven
If you give the inn lady a bundle of flowers 3 times resting or bench resting (I did 3-4 rests between gifts) she will give you eleven language for your pawn
Why not add the armory gear vendor here?. Already at the lava island? Bit towards the middle or so is where you'll get most of the highest power weapons in the game from that specific vendor

Found everything on this list sans the last two as I just got to that area last night. What I would love to find is a greatsword better than what can be bought at Bakbattal because I've been rocking that for probably 20 hours now with no upgrades to be found.
You'll mostly get non-elemental weapons from vendors, if you value the highest strength modifier rather than using the elemental weaknesses of your ennemies, you'll still be using one single weapon.
They're right. Plus the weapon options in this game are a bit different from the first: no rusted weapons, elemental weapons are more rare and better at applying their debuffs, and the weapons are a bit more consolidated and upgrading them is different for DD:DA so I'd recommend looking up how upgrading gear at vendors works before just upgrading them because you have the gold and materials. That and once you get into endgame strong weapons and armor can just straight drop from certain enemies so I'd look into what quests lock your game into a point of no return so you don't miss any weapons you might want. I cannot stress enough that you should look up the DD2 wiki to see what weapons exist for your favorite vocation and how to optimize them, otherwise you'll be wasting materials upgrading them and being stuck with an ineffective weapon

Its not that complicated. Fextralife dropped a video on it. Honestly your best bet is to pick one or two weapons you like with a skill you like and maybe a staff or magic bow with a healing skill to save on healing items

how does the elemental damage work ? since prety much all elemental weapons have lower stats than physical weapons, are they worth using ? i have heard that the element only adds the status effects but no damage so how is it ?
Some ice weapons will full on freeze enemies.
So should we upgrade our elemental weapons at elf’s for magic damage or at the dwarf for strength/physical damage? 🤔
Depends what vocation you are using
So what I did was upgrade twice at dwarf for the knock down/stagger and once at elf’s and then the dragon forge

Man I want to keep the elemental damage weapons but they eventually get outshined by regular stronger weapons
honestly i think the holy daggers are better than the dragon pains, and hence the best daggers because there are so many late game enemies that are weak to holy and there isnt holy boon in dd2
The best regular weapons always have overall higher numbers. Elemental weapons are mainly to exploit enemy elemental weaknesses, in which case they will do more damage than the regular weapons, or if you really like to apply specific debilitations like frostbite.
I generally always have my fighter pawn wielding the Exalted holy mace, so she can always take care of undead quickly and have magick damage at hand for phantoms

Eh it's not as great an idea when u realize 3 skills no matter how u cut it is terrible its justa class for fashion and cosplay playing an existing class hopefully they fix it id even take 3 skills that deal 20% less damage if I could still have 3 in general per weapon 😢

With the right class and skill combination, Warfarer is insanely good.
@DisappointedBuddha I'm sorry but if I had to grind all those classes and run around to get abilities I want to be able to use what I played for I found redeeming qualities and at the end I was still dissatisfied to each there own I dont wanna carry 9 weapons with 3 skills that's infuriating if I wanna switch to weapon and actually use it to change it up if u like it how it is I don't and that's just me.

But running around with Erupting shot Frosthunter bolt and Sagittate downpour to mop enemies is fun but id like access to melee abilities as well I don't wanna feel like I'm playing a Zelda Sim in a way Bow spam then ok ther daze lemme leap in with that aerial slam on greatsword and hope they get stunned because i have no close Quarter skills since I sacrificed for mass damage over fun.
Damn those lightning dagger is so fun to play, but getting it was a hard ass with rockstone fvckin lizard all over the place, im at low rank and it was suicide mission, all my pawn ded n me ded fall from a cliff because i run from that thing, good thing i have a wakestone
Same hahahaha it took me 4 tries and I gave up. I ended up grinding Mystic archer for the ability to clear the cave with one shot. That skill is so underrated.

It's actually up a scalable part of the cliff to the left of the cave. You don't need to enter it at all.

Guess you didn't do the gift of the bow quest then? Give the human bow to the elf in vermouth then he takes you up to the elf village

It was my favorite magic bow in dragon's dogma , so I was very excited when I found it at the shop, but when I finally got my magic archer vocation and purchased the bow.....OMFG!!!!!

In the first game all you do is stand still and it heals you,even healing you completely, but come to find out ,the bow now only works like spells and curative items,only healing up the white area on your health bar!!!!

After playing DD2 I would rather have got DD:DA with DD2 graphics. Great game in its own right but pales in comparison to its predecessor.

Well thats true, you have to remember base DD1 wasnt all that great either and only got the quality of life later on with Hard Mode/Speedrun Mode and BBI. Base game to base game DD2 clears imo
