If you don’t wann to hire a pawn that can speak elven just give the trader 3 bunches of flowers and she’ll give you the scroll to understand them
But your pawn can only use one scroll at a time, and they're single use items. You rarely need to speak elven. Better off just picking up a pawn temporarily whom speaks elven, unless you are role-playing your pawn as an elf it is pointless.

No one is really talking about how the affinity system interacts with the Vocation Maister questlines. I've seen lots of confusion. Many people think their game is bugged or the quest line was broken somehow when they can't get their Maister skill after maxing a vocation. The problem is their affinity is too low with the NPC. Give 1 gift per in-game day and the NPC will eventually give it too you. I haven't seen a content creator mention that yet, but I've seen that issue pop up all over Reddit.
I usually give 2 flower bouquets and the affinity is maxed for meisters. Or at least enough.
I had this issue with the sword and shield maister. Id progressed the story in melve so far i felt like i locked myself out. He ended up moving to the fishing village and i gave him wyrmslife twice to get his maister scroll
Kendrick follows me around Everytime I'm in vernworth. Got in a fight with ulrika when I was escorting her and still hasn't giving me the logistician tome yet. I gave him a gift everyday for 7 or 8 days. Starting to irritate me that I can't get that tome.
Waaaaayyyyy too many dudes are in love with me from trying to game the affinity system.
Every time I feel the game is broken I check the chapel, the person I need for the “broken” quest is generally there.
You can kill the melve dragon completely while it’s at Melve using their ballista, 2 shots should do it (just make sure your aim is good enough as it’ll try and fly off after the first shot)
I think in checkpoint rest town have beastern merchant that you can sell jasper too (high price). And jasper,eye tiger are material upgrade for some gear in the game
there are also gifts outside of your house if you did any quests with companions. they'll be hanging by the front of the door. in satchels you can interact with, you can't miss em, they exist at both houses, though i don't know if are the same, if you do quests in vermund, you'll get gifts there, and vice versa.
I would refrain from selling those jewels, they're used in upgrading Mage/Sorcerer armour

@@JorRaptor my Pawn is wearing the Gnostic Wings and Jewel-Woven Sandals. When upgrading those with the elves, they each require Onyx and Tiger Eye.
Never sell anything. Easy.
Just like in my monster hunter games, I never sell anything until I have the maximum number of said items. Then after which, any overflow = profit.

Pro tip for them apples/grapes, There's actually a travelling merchant (he's actually there all the time, but he's one lore-wise) that buys them at Battahli prices in the border rest time. He's a white/grey Beastren wandering around the village.

Dragon will show up in Melve after doing any of Brant's quests, I do the Magistrate quest because it's very easy and fast.

For selling the gems always just keep 10. Any extra you can sell so you can always upgrade stuff. I have not seen any upgrades where I need more than 3.

Man I just got the game few days ago and level up to 12. A griffin came out of nowhere and one shot me! I used a wake stone and a cyclops joined. OMG! Then out of nowhere, the griffin fell down to the water and I received alot of xp for it. I was lucky! And we beat the cyclops afterwards. I gained 2 levels because of it
In the rift, search for lvl 1 pawns. Look for any that have a pawn quest that involves any arrow for 12 onyx. Sell the onyx in Vermund, rinse and repeat

On Dragonsplague: the game can still be buggy as shit when it comes to hired pawns. To explain, last night I caught a pawn that had the plague and cured them by drowning. I went and re-hired them, confirmed the red eye glow was gone (and it was there previously) yet upon an inn save later on, it still triggered the plague event. So despite best efforts and even knowing what to do, the game is still buggy AF so my new approach is to just not give a shit. All can be fixed by resting for a few days anyways so unless you're hiring expensive pawns constantly, the plague is more an annoyance than care factor. Honestly, it could have been left out of the game because it only adds player frustration; nothing else.
That method only works with your own pawn.

This just tells me that the game can create situations of sleeper agents with no warning and does not follow the same logic for your own pawns. Seems to me that the obvious approach now is to just not care since it does nothing but annoy players from time to time. Honestly, they should just patch it out of the game because it's just dumb.
@@JodouTR It could be that the pawn in question passed it on before you threw them into the brine.
That's not a bug. You can't always tell by their eyes. People aswell can give them red eyes by choice. Also, throwing them in the brine only works with your own pawn. Talk to your hired pawns multiple times and listen closely. If they sound cocky, get rid of them asap. You obviously didn't pay enough attention to the way they behave. Next time. ;)

Rather annoying that we have to waste a skill slot for a double jump, when we had that as a core skill on strider, ranger and assassin in DD1, not to mention the ability to also wield bows on all 3 of them, with ranger having access to the longbows.
I feel like the vocations overall got gutted a bit too much when compared to the first game.

Yes. I love thief, but manoeuvrability was better in DD1. The dodge roll got gutted too. It cost less stamina, you didn't hardstop after it and could continue to roll. And you didn't auto-draw your weapons getting aggro! Meanwhile setting off explosions in town with this sh!tty double jump is fine apparently.
You can also be thief oriented warfarer, just switch to staff for levitate when you need it.
You can switch weapons via your inventory instead of using rearmament so you can use all 4 skill slots.
I personally use 2 dagger skills (smoke bomb, pilfer), 2 magic bow skills (ice hunter skill, recovery arrow), a staff handy for levitate.
One day if I feel I've stolen enough then I'll switch that to something else, probably the magic archer arctic blast or whatever the knockdown heavy arrow is called.
It may seem like I've got a lot of utility skills but it gets the job done tbh.
I've found when pawns have dragon plague they sit down on ground after you stop moving for bit as I thought it was just them getting tired but soon after the eyes started glowing
Will the pawns catch up no matter which job they have or is it specific pawns

just press/ Hold on L1 PS or LB on Xbox and you can access to healing potion and stamina potion you dont have to go to your inventory most of vids i watched they dont know about this!

Every guide I found so far was wrong about the gems in this game. Gems have uses outside of just selling or gifting. Upgrading gear requires gems.
Why is siv level 65 but only has 1 weapon skill equipped. It’s why I never used siv.

For PS.. You can just click R1 and Dpad up for quick use potion
Question. Does it not work sometimes, like in combat? Everytime I try and use the dpad to heal it doesn't work. It shows its being pressed but does nothing. Any thoughts?
Those jewels are 50 points of favor when gifted to the correct NPCs. They are also used upgrading mage/sorc gear.
Unless you’re desperate for money I would hold onto them.
I’ve been gifting all the NPCs that seem more important than the game naturally reveals and I’m finding content I can’t find anyone talking about on the internet. It’s cool and annoying at the same time because I know I’m not doing certain things and I’m in uncharted territory.
I need a pc so I can mod tf out this game, like using the master miester with the warfarer vocation .
You can use concussive blast during a jump as a double jump
Concessive Leap is a waste of a skill, it should be a core skill so that slot may be used for something much better.
Speaking of wasted skills, the Warfarer is a travesty.
@@Dandoskyballer Honestly, unless you plan to completely trivialize the game with meister skills such as Meteoron/Whirlwind, Formless Feint etc., Warfarer is probably a better class than every other - the stat losses are practically nonexistent (with the exception of warrior; warfarer has 42% the knockback resistance warrior has), and you can simply use 4 skills of the same vocation while using warfarer and level up all the other vocations.

@@JorRaptor I would feel like I missed something cool in the game if I didn't get to experience it myself. It wasn't a problem for me. I remember a similar mechanic form the original that was removed for dark arisen. But I barely remember it now haven't played dd1 vanilla since the 360 days.

Well, the dragonplague Red glow only appears once you hired them, u cant see if they are infected in the rift or before you hire them

Or maybe you just pay attention to your pawns and constantly rotate pawns. The the whole point of dragons plague it makes you continuously hired different pawns so you don’t just stick with the same party forever. Good job though. I brine bath every time I hear a smart remark lol

Besides having to rest at an inn or camp at campsites,you can drink an allheal elixir. This will replenish all your health:) it's 10k but worth it
I hired a pawn and, immediately after, my main pawn talked about dragon plague. The pawn I hired had eyes that look just like the ones at 7:13.
He was a lovely beastren warrior and never said or did anything suspicious. But dang, I was cautious around him at first.
My Game broke completly, me and my pawns are getting attackted by npc‘s constantly. Is This some form off feature or just a bloody joke ?

Yeah if anyone approaches you with their weapons drawn immediately sheath yours too calm down the situation! That is usually the case! Attacking boxes or breaking anything in the area with a weapon just make sure they are out of the room and sheath again immediately!
