Using unmaking arrow on Medusa is the worst advice I’ve ever heard
The correct answer is forge the arrow so you dupe it. Do this multiple times and just troll enemies with non unmaking arrows curious what it would call them since he named the tomes funny names.
No the correct answer is to use the shield in venworth vault and turn her to stone and get easy xp

I found the griffins nest. By riding its back after it tried to flee. My pawns couldn’t believe I rode it across the map. Epic encounter.
Another quick tip, if you’re looking for upgrade materials you can forge these and they make an exact copy (unlike say the Ferrystone which becomes the ‘Ferristone’ and doesn’t function like the original. Especially useful for rarer materials. I was surprised to find that I could forge Granite Medusa Bones into exact copies and did this for a few rare resources. Also, if you can’t find your Finders Token, this can also be duped if you have a friend that has one and is willing to give to your pawn to send back as a gift.
Also, final note about rare materials. If anyone is looking for Pointed Fangs before endgame, you can get garaunteed drops next to the dragon north of the Volcano Camp. There will be 3 dead on the beach. Drops are rng so you can keep reverting to a save to reroll as well if you choose (I got 2 my first grab but reloaded my last save and picked up 5 the next go around)x
The ancient battleground has a vault, which you get a key to if you do an escort quest and the guy gives you a vernworth vault key as well
Ohhhh so that’s where I got that. Lol. I stumbled into the vault later on and was curious why it was just unlocked. Makes sense. I didn’t use a guide the first run so stumbling upon that shield was such a great exploration moment.
People are saying for the first three upgrades do not use vermund, use the dwarven smiths. They boost both physical, magic, and weight reduc, but also increase kd power. Just passing that along.
How do i unlock dwarven smith?

There's two ways, 1 way is from the dwarf you help to get the Magick Archer vocation and the other is earlier after the masquerade and nameless village quests. Go to the palace and look for Roman, take the sword to the dwarf in Bakbattahl and do the follow up quest, that way no need to go all the way to volcanic camp area

Easy one is doing the side quest to unlock the Magick Archer Vocation in the volcanic island. You’ll met a dwarf when you first enter the area who needs three flowers to restore his back and escort him to his house. You’ll met his wife (the Magick Archer master) and ask you to go to the hot spring in the town to help her husband. Once you get to the springs, she’ll thank you and allows you to become a Magick Archer (she’ll also give you the master skill as well) and also grants you Dwarven smithing from her husband back at their house.
Also another hint, you’ll met a man sitting next to the spring who wants some newt liquor. Give him one and find three more from the beastern capital. Once you give him some he’ll grant you the Warfair vocation and the master skill which is NEEDED for the class.
for the medusan spellbow upgrading it with dwarven style is really good because it has high knockdown, you will be able to knock enemies out of the sky in one or two arrows (good against harpies)

Tip/light spoiler (not exactly story-related, but could be considered an extremely mild story spoiler, just a spoiler for game mechanic/item-focused rewards regarding WLCs):
If you go to the post-game section after doing a lot of the main/near-main story-side quests you can get an easy 200-300 Wyrmslife Crystals or more from the post-game progression. I highly recommend bringing as many thieves to the "red circles." That's as much as I can say without entirely giving it away.
Heck I thought I was doing well getting the dragons gaze that shows you wakestone locations on your map when used

Pro tip with the Medusa Bow: If you're a Warfarer, once you have build-up damage that will pop off a ton of damage, switch to the bow to take advantage of the 400% XP boost despite not having done any damage with the Medusa Bow itself.
0:53 where the 'III' marker is, climb up the mountain instead of traversing the misty marshes to get to the gryphons nest far easier and quicker
Also a seekers token up there you can't access from the nest.

You can enter the griffin nest from south also and avoid the fog altogether. Found it by accicent while exploring 😂

you can also ride the griffin to its nest for the portcrystal. just get on his back and when he flies away hold on. they always fly towards their nest
You can get that first portcrystal by riding the griffin when it runs away
Hey Jor! Was wondering if you could clarify something for me? Noticed your encumberance levels up +3.0 every 5 levels but i got to level 40 right now and it had a - through the encumberance when the stats came up in screen. Is it maxed out? Or have you gotten any more on your level 45 or 50 guy (in your video lol)
I'm level 56 and it hasn't increased since 40. You have to eat beetles or use rings to reduce you encumbrance further.

Carry capacity is also tied to your character’s weight (assuming it works like the first game). The heavier your character is the more you can carry. I had forgot about this when I started 2 and weighing only 88kg I was more limited than expected, although haven’t really had too many issues.
can i use exploding arrow to decapitate medusa if i climb on her? i havent leveled any melee jobs yet.
I had grabbed onto that griffin almost all the way across the map surfed it all the way to its best snd got the items. Griffins are the best way of traveling a far distance quickly. Stock up on stamina and just hold on until it gets mad and flies off.
Upgrade Madusa bow at the Dwarf blacksmith because it adds more knockdown to the bow plus regular upgrades to other stats.
The medusa helmet you can buy in a town where the forger is from one of the street merchants.
Min 1:30. You can upgrade even more in the Lategame/NG+. Not just the weapons.

You can kill the drake in 1 shot if its resting.
How can you one shot it without the unmaking arrow? I’ve got the jump on sleeping drakes before but they usually just wake up and immediately start tossing me around. Lol

I've had Warfarer for awhile now, and didn't use it yet, becasue I wanted to focus on Magick Archer lol
I love Warfare because it allows for full customization. I had previously been using Warrior and like going greatsword, but now I can carry both a bow and a magick bow (depending on the situation) for ranged attacks. Weight only counts for your heaviest weapon, and you can switch on the fly, so you can carry whatever on you. It also levels up all other classes passively as you go, and the best part for me was that it allows you to be able to wear any piece of armor in the game. Basically allowing for full fashion souls. I was able to retain the full warrior class gear and moveset but also compliment it with weapons from other classes. And you can use vocstion skills from all classes, even passive Core skills that don’t need to be assigned. Best of all worlds. Only downside is you need to take up one slot for the Rearmament skill (which allows you to swap weapons), and it cycles through weapons in order so you don’t have full control. But, if you’re only using a bow and another weapon or whatever combo you don’t even notice.
I still have yet to try full Magick Archer, but plan on checking that out at some point to see what it offers fully set up.
What if you forget to pick up the bow the 1st fight? Will she respawn with it..? I was rushing my 1st fight with her cause i had cut off her head to go turn a griffin into stone for a sidequest

I didnt need the lighting buffto chop off medusa's head I did fine with just normal daggers. just go for her head with a slicing weapon
I just used a sorcerer and picked up the head from the body afterwards
@@glencunningham552You get a worse version of her head if you do that. Im assuming your medusa head is called Withered Medusa Head. When you go for her head with a slashing weapon you can cut her head clean off and get a regular Medusa Head. Theyre both the same, but the withered doesnt last as long, in fact it really really doesnt last as long, I used my withered medusa head and it lasted 4 seconds and became useless.
You can get a shield from venworth vault that is a mirror and can use her power against her.

Funnily enough I accidentally ran into that drake in the dark and never used the ballista ... kinda sad I missed it due to the extreme night time darkness, lol.

Bout to do ng+ do my personally placed port crystals stay like the first game? Or do they get removed?
Sadly port crystals are all returned to your storage upon starting ng+.
Can confirm they go to storage. However, first hour or so of your ng+ can be spent setting them all up and levelling by killing enemies and mini bosses as you go. Also use this time to mark out locations for mini boss locations so you can come back and farm. I actually saved my map markers for dragons in ng+ so I could farm wyrmlife crystals.

Farm them in endgame you get hundreds
Finish a cycle (the unmoored world) and unlock the endgame weapon and armour (theres even a sword called dragon's dogma)
If u want medusas head go for the twin fang spam on its head works better then anything else ive tried

Dont use the Arrow for medusa. use it for sphinx and the big guy. (i dont want to spoil. If you know, you know) The Medusa head is good for a quest also.:)

Sphinx is easy, using the arrow on her is a waste as well.
Please don't waste the arrow on the Spinx, she is not a difficult fight if you paid attention to the murals.
Another good place for Port Crystal is elvish town
Just got there just now, the Griffin was sleeping, I felt bad robbing it. I love Griffins >w< But these are Dire times we live in!
Just use the sophoric bolt from the magic archer to put Madusa to sleep and then have an archer pawn cut her head off .. I did it twice and both times took me less than 5 mins
items like this that are ON THE GROUND usually respawn over time.....or at least in the first game.....tghats worth mentioning or reminding ppl. Esxpecially ferrystones. They ALWAYS respawned if they are found in the wild. Over time of course.
I didn't know the warfarer leveled up all the vocations
I put my port crystals in the same two spots plus Sacred Arbor
Medusa respawns every 14 in game days, it seems long but if youre not purposedly "farming" her it goes really fast

There is one downside to farming XP with the bow - your main pawn doesn't get the bonus XP for some reason, so if you grind enough, your main pawn can end up quite a few levels behind. Not sure how much this actually matters though.
In DD1 main pawn would get bonus XP if they were a lower level than you so I assume that rule still follows in the sequel. Haven't been without main pawn to level tho so idk if it's still a thing.

You don't need a lightning on your weapon to take Medusa's head any skill you can cast on your weapon works because I chopped her head off with fire on my weapons

You don't need any element at all, just need any bladed melee weapon.

That was the same case for original Dragon's Dogma too tho. In that game, it was better to solo everything without any pawns for most exp. Once you get to level 200 which is the highest, summon your main pawn to kill things for their exp. They have a rubberbanding effect and will gain sooo many levels really quickly. It'd like a hour later and they will be level 200.
I have no idea if DD2 would have this rubberbanding exp effect for main pawns tho.

At end game you fight golems that’s how I got mine
Purple Phantasms from the Unmoored world is the only location unless you can gain the height needed to get the ONE from Sacred Albor that's high up on a cave's wall (shines a bit different and is marked by forger). Once you get one you can just forge the material.
You don't need daggers to chop off Medusas head any attack you do while being on her head can do it, I did it with an arrow.
There is a ring for sale at the excavation site that precents petrification. Its 10K gold

Honestly leveling vocations is more important than character levels. At least it seems to be taking longer. Really could use a better way than find like 200+ frigging seeker tokens. Even with detection that crap is taken forever. I am tired of looking for those things, they are way to well hidden even with the detection, it needs to ping them on the minimap, they are hell to find some times. I am trying no to use a cheat or map but i am tired of wasting so much time to track down a handful in an area to only have like 40 or so after a week of playing.

use battahl smithing not vermund, since the last upgrade reduces the TOTAL weight by half, the extra huge damage output is worth the 0.6 weight in the end
Dwarven is better cause it boosts everything and knockdown power which is more DPS in its own way. Only about a 6% difference for DMG but enemies get knocked down easily
Why can I not find on the Internet a list of locations with towns that already have them?
Btw Medusa spawns after 2 weeks ingame so no it’s not pretty quick and any slash weapon will take off her head

Why someone would follow this guide to get max level and overpowered everything at the start of the game is beyond me. I didn't even want to keep playing thief because it trivialized all the fights.

The wayfarer only upgrades the vocations, which are at lvl 1.
Wayfarer upgrades all vocations, up to level 9. Just the amount is split between them all. So simply a bonus to level vocations that you don't plan to touch.
