@@462ANIMAL I think everyone else already used them up for winter time, which is why AWD ones are unobtainium. They all disintegrated already. Honestly it is best to use new cars for winter beater, they aren't going to last long enough to worry about rust anyway.

The Dodge Caravan, The Plymouth Voyager & The Chrysler Town & Country after the plymouth division was discontinued all were the same mini van.
What a true find. What i think happened is that the previous owner was maintaining the van(hence all the recent work done) but then sudden the engine blew after all those miles. Instead of keeping it to use for parks they just junked it. Personally i like the Plymouth Voyagers over the Dodge Caravans because they are more rare. So many more people bought the Dodge versions over the Plymouths by this generation. And i would also say, whoever owned this van loved it. Because they swapped out the front seats, installed new carpeting and spend alot of money to keep it going. RIP Plymouth blue van.

@TFD1982 sorry lol. Check car-part and see if any non u-pull yards list any second gens. I usually just search by front left fender. Call around based on that. Drive up to Minneapolis and I'll give you a set of headlights with the chrome bezels and a rear wiper arm.

These cars are always the most weird to me, It is simultaneously maintained and neglected. The owner did not take care to prevent rust but mechanical maintained it, which makes no sense to do when the car will just disintegrate from unmitigated rust. Anyway nice video!
Unfortunately rust never sleeps. And in the US, Minnesota has some of the worst rust in the entire country. In fact, my uncle bought a Mopar in 1990. He looked at the paperwork, and there were 2 states where Chrysler would not cover their rust-through protection warranty: Alaska, and Minnesota.
@@MNMoparMinivan Do they still put regular salt on the roads in Minnesota U.S.? They put a salt brine on the roads where I live and it is supposed to cause less damage to cars and roads, I don't know if its any better though time will tell.

Hey guys, ive got a 1990 Plymouth Voyager that i have given up tracking down the wiring problem. It came from Arizona, the bottom is as clean as a whistle, but the paint is baked. Near perfect body, only one rust spot, engine and tranny are perfect as well as the interior, i filed for a bonded title, but it hasnt been 2 years yet. Anyone needs a great bunch of parts, new computer and too many parts to mention i want $400 firm for it.
@@klwthe3rd I think the early ones had some issues, but I don't recall anything wrong with the later ones. I know people like to mod the 3.0s. They take abuse pretty well. I don't have much personal experience with them to say for sure
@JoseCardenas-tv6vv i have had no issues with reliability as long as they are properly maintained. As long as the transmission has all gears, and the engine runs good, you should be ok. Make sure the trans fluid is changed every 15-30k with atf+4-pan drop and refill, do not flush! I'm not sure what drivetrain yours has but they're all pretty good with their own quirks.

Base models had manual transmissions.
@milesdyson a few of them did. Manual caravans are pretty rare. A lot of the low trim options had the 3.0 31TH combo
