My 97 Ram 1500 was never garaged, but always waxed regularly, and I still keep up on it. The paint isn't super shiny like new, but all of it is still there and none of the clearcoat has come off, even the headliner is still perfect at over 200k now. I think it is original on that van too. Most of these vans probably never got waxed at all I imagine, except maybe what comes out of car washes.
I had a nice set of those on my propane van. they got stolen twice. first time I found the guy that took them and took them back lol. last time I didnt find them again..
Good Afternoon nice van one side is good shape the other side is rusted headliner is good I thought the license plate be in the middle anyways thanks for the video
I personally like the light silver color on this Voyager. Those hubcaps were from a 1st gen model for sure. Like 1989-1990 model years. I remember back when these were made, very few short wheelbase models were sold. Almost everyone who bought these vans wanted the longer wheelbase models. I prefer the LE models over the SE for all the additional bells and whistles but this Voyager was a real pleasant surprise. I wish i could save all of these vans since this was Chrysler's bread and butter back then. Awesome video.
I sure have friends that have the second Generation 1991-1995 Plymouth Voyager, Plymouth Grand Voyager, Dodge Caravan, Dodge Grand Caravan, & Chrysler Town & Country.
That’s something weird for me here in europe. The van got power mirrors. It got cruisecontrol. Automatic transmission. A/C . Integrated stereo. Power locks. Multifunctional steeringwheel. All the things what a luxury car from that time would have. But i don’t got electric windows . So weird.
Yeah it makes me sad too to see these 2nd gens being discarded. I too love the 1st gens too since they were what introduced the minivans to the world back in 1984. I had a neighbor who bought the first year, 1984, LE with wood paneling and wire wheel covers. Looked so luxurious for back then.
@legoeul2676 no problems with them whatsoever! My dad had a few plymouth badged caravans back in the day. Maybe I will come across one at some point ;)
@tonybob283 i have a problem 😅. Really though I just grew up around them so that's probably part of it. You could ask the same question to ever car oriented person. Usually they have some sort of preference.
Smoker vehicles 👎... my Mom,aunt, and 2 uncles were all smokers. The only smoke that didnt bother me was Uncle's Swisser Sweets or neighbor smoking cherry Tobacco from his pipe. Their whole living room smelled of cherry tobacco.
A smokers vehicle , yuck ! I remember getting in customer vehicles, and would look out the back window to see it was all yellow ! Those vehicles smelled like an ashtray ! Instant sore throat ! Did you get all your vehicles rust proofed yet ?
@462ANIMAL haha yeah... as far as fluid film goes... not as good as I'd have liked but I did all of the door seams, pinch welds, wheel arches, and the rails behind the rear axle on the one I drove today in the snow (: Better than nothing anyway.
@ We still have no snow ! Was outside in a T-shirt ! 11.C It’s not too late , on a good day.. hit the underneath with oil spray . I’ve yet to , can’t see, to win , always a new problem that takes my time up .
Very good video, thank you 👍 nice wheel covers
@@richroj appreciate!!
Love your videos im obsessed with old minivans since I was 2 years old. I find your channel on TH-cam recommendations i subscribed to your channel 🙂
@Nisszoriasan welcome! Good to hear. Hopefully you enjoy the content. Thank you!!!

@@michaelwyatt8030 2nd gens it's always shifted on the driver side. First time I've ever seen one mounted on the passenger side.

@klwthe3rd thanks! They also were on some of the other k cars as well. The set i threw on my 90' grand caravan I think was off an old Lebaron

5:18 Ho this steel wheel with yellow stickers on the left looks sweet. Might be a spare tire wheel.
It is a spare of some sort. Thats usually what they make the vehicle stands out of at the yard. I just noticed it looked older than the rest of them.

@jdnrotterdam2150 some people like crank windows haha. It's probably wired for power windows if a guy took the door panel off.
I cannot believe I found a 5th gen facelift there as well! It's way too young.
@NotSpoiler111 some of them are 13 years old now... which makes me feel old.
@@MNMoparMinivan Yeah, but the red one looked shiny. Newer than 13 years old.
Ho those hubcaps 😱💜💜💜💜💜. Haha of course you need them ! Are they in metal ? Partialy ?
@selenelacaze9883 they're all metal yes. I have 3 sets already so I left them haha
@@MNMoparMinivan Haha. you said they are for 14" usualy ?
@@selenelacaze9883 All of mine are for 14's yeah. Im not sure if this style came in 15 or not
sad to see so many 2nd gen’s junked recently!😢 odd there hasn’t been a first gen junked but i’m sure they’re all gone here lmao

Must have been a Friday why the plate holder is on the wrong side
@@JimthegreatHD100% 😂
I wonder if it were wrecked at one time, and the shop forgot which side the bracket went on
This one is really clean . 3.3 L : O . What a shame. And a loss.
Seems like they rust out worse on the passenger side because that's where all the salty snow slush collects on the road.
Do you like Plymouth Voyagers?
@legoeul2676 no problems with them whatsoever! My dad had a few plymouth badged caravans back in the day. Maybe I will come across one at some point ;)
Correct, Not Infinity
@GreyRockOne hey look at me I got it right for once 🤣
