  • Today we're taking a look at 2019's excellent all-rounder, the AMD Ryzen 5 3600.
This Socket AM4 6 core CPU was ideal for those who wanted to play games, stream and create content. Although it will fall short of modern, sometimes less expensive options, I think it's still certainly worth considering in 2022.
    Thanks for watching :)

Zen2 really was the moment when Ryzen sorted the quirks and just became a brilliant line of CPUs. My 1600 was okay, my 3700X is just immense. Nice to see the 6 cores are still doing as good as the day they came out

Bought my 3600 on launch day back in 2019 and I still use to this date. Just upgraded my GPU to the RX 6700 10GB and it performs spectacularly. I'll probably upgrade later this year to Zen 4.

Oh yeaaa, my first CPU, and still going strong. Was a good buy.

This has been my go to CPU for PC's on a moderate budget, my father, daughter and wife all have one in systems I built and are very happy! My main rig is only a step up with a 3700X and that is also still kicking ass :)

I think the Ryzen 3600 might be one of the greatest CPUs ever. I love mine, still powerful and effective enough to this day. If I were to upgrade it I'd go for a Ryzen 5700 but there's no need at the moment.

I'm also happy with my Ryzen 5 3600, which I purchased early last year, second-hand.

I ended up binge watching a lot of your past videos the other day and now I'm left salivating in anticipation of every new video you upload. Love your channel man

Your channel helped me find the parts to build my first gaming desktop back in 2017. It's still helpful as always. And now today I'm seriously considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600.

Hell, the 2600 is still reasonable. I had one of those already and put it in my girlfriend's new PC, along with a RTX 2060. Really good machine for what we paid.

I've been very happy with my 3600! I bought it in early 2021 when the 5000 series CPUs were hard to find and/or overpriced. Pairing the 3600 with a good B550 chipset board still gives me an upgrade path to something like 5800x or faster CPU if I need more power later on.

I got my a320 MB brand new for £29 6 years ago, absolute bargain! Upgraded from a 2600 to a 3600, and am very happy with the 1080p performance paired with a freesync monitor. My most recent upgrade from an RX580 to an RX6600 seems to be the sweat spot for this CPU.

3600 is awesome, wanting to upgrade at some point soon but the price to performance is awesome. I recently upgraded to a be Quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black to get rid of the stock cooler which did me justice for the past couple of years. I have it paired with a 3060 and it is a great combo

I got my i5 6400 back in 2016. Finally upgraded in 2022 when my video editing needs were barely being met, and got a 12600k. Originally I was aiming to get a 3600, or 3600x, but my brother told me to wait for intels new 12th gen CPU's. Turns out I was better off getting a 12400 for what I'd need, but instead got a 12600k at the last minute. Glad to see someone still recommending the 3600 as it is still a very solid option for the price.

I’m using a 3600XT and the exact same Palit 3070 you’ve got, and I have to say, I haven’t had a single issue with either, together

Got one in December 2019, still got it running cool with a Scythe FUMA 2 and with "Gaming overclock" enabled from the MOBO. It gets the job done and never slows me down. I might wait the next generation of AMD CPUs after the one coming out in autumn.

Bought one of these when I built my current system back in August 2019. Set it up on a B450 AORUS ELITE mb, Gigabyte RTX2070 Super Gaming OC, 16 gig ram, 250 gig m.2 nvme, and 1tb hdd. Good stable system that's great for gaming. I've since installed another m.2 nvme 1tb, upgraded to 32 gig ram, and an AORUS ELITE B550 AX WIFI mb.

Just upgraded from a 3100 to a 3600. Extremely satisfied with it!

Still rocking a 3600 since 2019. A great performance to value ratio. I did change to a noctua cooler and OC'd it. Another year or two and I'll upgrade it.
