😂 So relatable! Seeing the red flags right away, yet wanting to make sure that person still feels good combined with a lack of boundaries 🤪 It is maddening! INFJs need to trust Ni far more than they do.

Hey Kate, I kind of just jumped right into your content so I don't know if you made a video establishing TypeMatch's descriptions of types, but figured I'd list them for new people like me here you guys...and gals go:
    ESTP- The Realistic Alpha
    ISTP- The Tactical Rebel
    ESFP- The Dynamic Star
    ISFP- The Artistic Free Spirit
    ENFJ- The Harmonious Leader
    INFJ- The Empathetic Guru
    ENFP-The Imaginative Explorer
    INFP- The Introspective Soul
    ENTJ- The Rational Boss
    INTJ- The Visionary Strategist
    ENTP- The Curious Inventor
    INTP- The Logical Theorist
    ESTJ- The Head Honcho
    ISTJ- The Diligent Investigator
    ESFJ- The Supportive Ally
    ISFJ- The Unbreakable Loyalist
Did you come up with them? What do you think about people's perception of Meyers and Briggs being an in the moment Rorschach test?
Being that type doesn't include male or female, age, maturity, intelligence, faith, beliefs, health, culture, beauty, job, financial situation, experience, taste, upbringing, if you're using type for an initial attraction isn't that a reflection on the person's perception of the basic concept of a person? Which is what I think personality type is, since I think personality type is more about the persona. Whereas personality is more getting to know the person which includes what was listed above.
Once again, thanks for helping formulate the list in the Golden Pair video. I was thinking that it might be helpful to think about don't make a Golden Calf out of a Golden Pair for type since if you're familiar with Exodus 32 in the Bible, the people made a Golden calf out of fear for control over their situation, which might be a temptation with putting so much into personality type because it's a way to put faith in a system to help with our internal struggles and struggles with others, but at the end of the day, we're not in control, so have fun not fear! (My avatar is my old phone wallpaper with Bart Simpson saying "I'm afraid". I struggle with fear and wanting control over my situation so I'm not puffing my chest or anything.).
I haven't read through much of the Type Match site outside of reading through the profiles, taking the test, and going through the music playlists for each type, so I didn't read enough to know if you came up with the descriptions.
If so, then isn't it reflective on how you view the types? I figured it might be helpful to look at the descriptions to see where you're coming from.
Appreciate someone considering their own type as alpha. Nice. Although, when I think of celebrity alpha males, the most popular one I can think of is ESTP Trump. Outside of him, I can't think of any other celebrity.
I guess ESTP Joe Rogan is the most unifying celebrity for people at the moment, but I don't know how many would consider him alpha. I think he's more of a celebrity like ESFP Elvis where a lot of people liked what he does, but I don't think people admire him like ENFJ Martin Luther King Jr. No matter what is revealed about his past, his message of judging people by the content of their character will stand forever. It's also relevant for personality type.
I think Mother Theresa was the most unifying celebrity that people would talk about in high regards where all men, women, and children would want to be like her, but I don't she was an ESTP. And I don't want to type her because she's a saint, and yes, she was human, but....I don't feel comfortable about typing saints.
I think INFP J.R.R. Tolkien is alpha when it comes to culture since he set the standard in fiction, which is a metaphor for our perceptions of reality, experience, and history to help bond us together and get a notion of social perceptions, and I think part of alpha is virtue, and from what I remember, he was a virtuous man with one of the most virtuous fictional book ever with Lord of the Rings.
And ISFP Michael Jackson, maybe not the most virtuous guy, but neither is Trump, but he was pretty alpha when it comes to music.
By the way, ISTPs are my people when it comes to music. Not even an SP competition. Or...wait, it is an SP competition...I remember you and Joyce being more private about opinions, but clearly that ain't no problem for me, so ISTPs the best.
Thank you so much for the heads up on the TypeMatch playlists. Ok, I'll listen to the video! Thanks.
Being that you keep making videos, you've been my motivation to think about this type stuff again, so thank you!
Hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and have a very Happy New Year, Kate!

I notice almost everything... I also seem to look for the good in others to justify ignoring things... (old habbits... a more efficient process will be in place before I consider that.

Cool to hear how the TypeMatch app came about. Thanks for the interview. That Ni projecting in the future might be helpful to remain hopeful, so I hope Joyce finds someone. Although, you're also hopeful since if you weren't hopeful, then you wouldn't make a typing app or doing these videos. It's rough out there, but I think there's a lot of good men and women in the world.
I'm not sure about a lot of the intuitive specific struggles Meyers and Briggs I've read, but if any intuitive are looking so far into the future to miss out on an older show like Seinfeld, then they have a lot of great stuff to look forward to.
Were you saying you think the actual Jerry Seinfeld's type is INTJ? And who is your favorite comedian?
I thought the Jerry character in the Seinfeld show is an ISTJ, but you said something about INTJ after that so I wasn't sure if you referring to his character or the actual Jerry Seinfeld, but either way, that was a really helpful explanation for Fi. Between this explanation and the explanation in the Se video about your dad having his favorite sports team, you've been the most helpful for me in understanding Fi. Thanks.
Appreciate your association with Fi and boundaries. I thought Fe judging would be used to establish boundaries, especially with the notion that Fi people aren't so great at reading people, but I think that makes sense that it could be made into an Fi value for people.
Previously, I heard ESTPs being referred to people who don't have loyalty, and I think it could have been the notion of many ESTPs focusing on Fe harmonizing with others and not focusing of Fi values, which might tie into not having Fi values for boundaries, but what do you think?
I think that's one perspective, but I think there's also the perspective that ESTPs would be very loyal because of the focus on Fe harmonizing with those they choose to be loyal too, and lack of focus on Fi values deterring from that, because it's a lower function, meaning more insecurities so they would want to be very loyal. Also, maybe loyal for insecurities of how they appear to others such as fears of people thinking they're untrustworthy, which would end their Fe harmonizing or fears of having a jellyfish spine/lacking a moral backbone so they might go hard into enforcing their beliefs because they're nervous about it.
I remember reading a description of ESTPs years ago when I first got into Meyers and Briggs, that when ESTPs are developing their third function Fe, they're really protective of those they care about, and there's a stereotype of ISTPs, with inferior Fe of being really loyal and I read one description of them being aggressively protective of their friends, which could reflect on the struggle an ESTP could conceptually have with Fe, just be a little calmer with it.
I don't agree with the lack of loyalty since like all types, there's a will and and intellect behind every type to choose to be loyal, but I think an argument can be made for all different narratives of the types, which is why I don't get behind the type development paths, since who are the people to develop these paths? What do they do?
Every single person is different so, like exercise or diet plans, you have to work with the individual, and what is the person who is making the development plan's goal? Everyone has different beliefs, so what they deem good, might contradict the beliefs of what others believe is good. Also, how are the people giving advice's standing with their loved ones? Sure, good advice is good advice, but that is something to consider. And why wouldn't everyone just do what's considered good about every type? For an example shouldn't an ESTP want to just do whatever is considered good and avoid what's considered bad about INFJs, INFPs, ISTJ, ISTPs, INTPs, and INTJs? If it's good, it's good. And if it's bad, it's bad. And then the ESTP could get a parent, friend, doctor, teacher, priest, etc. to help them whatever he or she wants help with? Maybe they want to just focus on doing what people say they admire INFPs for? I think many people of any type would want to be like an INFP J.R.R. Tolkien if they were into creating entertainment.
The lack of common goal is why I am confused over having a community over type. I understand having a community over people with a rare health issue where everyone is working to overcome or help each other with suffering in the meantime since their condition is so rare that not many people will understand what they're going through, or if people are doing a Bible study so they're all working toward the same goal in growing deeper in the same Faith, but with type, people are working from different belief systems for their foundation, so I think ESTPs could be worried about being loyal based on descriptions and get into a bad situation.
There's a video by the ENFP Father Mike Schmitz called "Who Do You Spend Time With?" that's been helpful for me, and it might help ESTPs.
I struggle with wanting to be loyal to people who I'm not sure are good for me, but I've been keeping that video in mind. Listening to Father Mike Schmitz is helpful in understanding why being gentle is so powerful to help win hearts and minds, which ESTP promoters might appreciate. There's not a lot of authenticity online, and I mean that relatively because privacy is important, but Father Mike Schmitz is my go to example for an authentic ENFP so I'd recommend that video.
Anyways, I think in your type description for ESTPs on your Type Match site, as well as ENTJs, put ESTPs as those who sometimes test loyalty by pushing people away, so you might have some thoughts on ESTP loyalty in regards to that struggle with Fi.
Thank you again, Kate. You're an excellent host. Hope you have a really nice Happy New Year with your loved ones.

I just finally learned how to be single with no urgency to change that.. I'm thinking running with it might be more beneficial than jumping back in the place I finally escaped. Other than my twin flame, I'm not sure who could convince my to retire the one man Wolfpack mentality I currently thrive in. Who knows though?
